@Lucidnonsense souls are typically generated during conception, generating from a pre-existing soul. A soul does not actually require two souls, so aesexual reproduction (like an Amobae) is possible. Where souls actually come from is objectively unknown. Some Yuwanists believe souls are reincarnated from dead ones (though Yuwan herself says nothing on it). Justinian says all souls are new beings that should be immortal but are not due to the world being evil. Red Pantheonists don't care and just say "souls appear, that's all that matters".

Alright, so baby farming may or may not be a viable strategy that helps combat entropy.
Nation Idea: A Server room containing the minds of a bunch of Pre-Android AIs who were survivors of an ancient war against AIs (before androids were a thing) Thinking the ancient uprisings leaders were a bunch of Corporate AIs who didn't get the memo that they were supposed to commit suicide because human workers were entitled pricks and voted for a dude who banned these early AIs. These AIs form the ruling class of a bunch of android scavengers who reactivated an ancient server room they were in. The AIs can operate non-android robotic bodies, but are pretty much completely incompatible with androids and have no idea how androids even work. The Bodies remotely piloted by the AIs are generally inferior to the androids and most of the AIs are heavily gimped because they lost internet access.
Question, how do babies get souls? is a soul generated? or is it pulled from an existing pool. I need to know this for logistical purposes.
Oh cool glad to see some interest popping up
Theres another interest check in the General Interest check forum

Late 2019 astronomers discovered what was though first to be an asteroid traveling on an unusual course throughout the solar system, further investigation revealed the true nature of the Object, On February 5th, 2020, NASA made the official anouncement as to the nature of the Object, a clearly artificial structure of extraterrestrial Origin. Social media exploded across the globe, the motivations and level of technology possessed by this alien species is unknown, though presumed to be advanced due to the level of technology presumedly required to travel across the galaxy.

The nations of the U.N security council, with a speed unheard of for such an organization, Established the Planetary Defense Initiative to study the extraterrestrial phenomenon and determine if they threaten humanity, and find methods of protecting humanities interests in the case of hostile, or otherwise non-benevolent intent.

I have 4 proposals for how this roleplay will work.

1.Command Level: Players will not be field agents of the PDI, instead they will be leading members of the PDI, The world will rest in your shoulders.

2.Agent Level: Players will play the role of people sent out in the field by the PDI to deal with reported extraterrestrial activity, coming face to face with Alien phenomenon. The PDI counts on people like you.

3.Aftermath: Starting a little bit later in the timeline, 10 years has passed since the PDI was founded.

4.Nation level: Players will play as various organizations around the world, Such as the Red Cross, The United States of America, Corporations, and other large organizations who are dealing with the alien threat in whatever way they see fit. Might also be some roles for players wanting to play as groups of aliens...

In general, The PDI will start with access to Technology available today, a few advancements have been made in the last few years, and they have access to some sweet top secret stuff, but nothing too fancy. Nowhere near the level of tech possessed by the aliens. You have access to a great deal of funding but you were organized in a rush.

Inspirations Include: X-com, Arrival, Half Life, Blindsight, X-files, and district 9
Considering doing something from either Orion's Arm or Eclipse Phase.
Thinking of moving this to the Casual interest check, what is the general protocol for that?

The Dokkel:

The Dokkel are a mysterious folk to many, for most of them live underground, they have been compared to dwarves, and some say the Dokkel are primordial ancestors of the dwarves but nobody knows for sure. The form of the Dokkel frightens some, they have been compared to maggots or grubs in appearance.

Socially the oldest breeds of Dokkel are eusocial like bees or ants, with a queen, drones, warriors and workers. These changes seem to be brought about by chemical means and, with the intelligence of the Dokkel many dokkel hives have learned to control the developement and developed it further beyond what nature intended with "Chitinsculpting" they have domesticated other creatures of the deep and even creatures above to serve the hives as tools. some of the breeds of Dokkel have cast off the eusocial roots.

Due to shared mythological themes among most dokkel among other evidence, it is believed that all Dokkel once belonged to a single hive, archeological evidence shows that the Dokkel were once far more powerful than they are now with ancient ruins deep beneath the earth that New Dokkel hives plunder for ancient knowledge.

Common themes from Dokkel mythology are
-The existence of a primordial being a progenitor of all life (or in some cases, only Dokkel life)
-The Primordial was ill, or in some cases, injured after a battle with something or another
-Reincarnation being a thing, or having been a thing in the past, sometimes the death of a god leading to the ending of the cycle of rebirth
-a descent from heaven
-God is buried beneath the earth, or parts of god, god is not dead, not fully, god can be reconstructed. We can become one with god.
-Those who share dreams are special and can lead us to unification with god.

The Inspiration from the Dokkal comes from the Edda, based on the creation myth of Dwarfs, They were said to have grown from maggots within the flesh of Ymir (Norse Mythology being metal af like always). Other sources of inspiration include Eusocial Insects, The Falmer from Elder Scrolls, a hint of Grey Aliens from UFO folklore and a bit of hollow knight.
