Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Most excellent. You'll know that at this point throwing dirt on the fire won't help, at best you're just going to create a lot of smoke. You're better off doing what the other woman is and trying to pry burning bits of wood off the building and away into the mud for the fire to consume itself out. Using your shovel to help leverage your strength, you can easily do this in about five to ten minutes before the woman is ready to deal with the flames inside of the house.
And now we can do our first skill check! You roll an athletics check to just try and haul as much dirt as you can or a survival check to figure out the most efficient way to deal with a big fire like this.
The woman turned towards you startled, holding her shovel defensively. However looking you over she had to make a quick decision before tossing you the shovel. "Take this shovel and smother as much of the fire as you can!" She shouts as she goes to grab an axe from the ground, using it to chop away at the burnt wood and trying to separate it from the building. "Just deal with the fire on the outside, and I can deal with the inferno inside!"

Sure enough the flames seem hottest at the center. Whatever caused this blaze started from the inside. What to do, what to do.
There was a certain serenity as you walked through this unknown landscape. The nature and sights of these lands were not just new, but unusual for you. You saw animals that certainly did not exist in your world. Strange hybrid bird-monkeys who flew between trees, strange turtles with the bodies of frogs, and even large herds of what appeared to be rabbits who’s colors changed under the sun. Truly odd indeed. Fortunately at least you did not run into anything that harmed you but as you came closer to the Tower of smoke it was clear that this was not a bonfire.

As you peek your head out you could see what appears to be a small wooden hut and a lone woman desperately trying to put out the fire consuming her home, armed with nothing but a shovel to throw the dirt over the flames and try to snuff them out. Her efforts were not in vain as she seemed to be having some effect, but it was clear that she would not succeed soon. Additionally scattered around her burning home were more skeletons, these ones looking less ancient than the bones you found at the cave, also burnt by some flame.

“Dammit! Damned skeletons! I can’t believe they found me already!” You could hear the woman cry out as she tries to put out as much fire as she could.
@Guardian Angel Haruki

You awaken in a strange cave, with very little memory of what had happened. You had the vague remembrance that you were simply falling asleep one night, a bit restless but nothing unusual, but now you find yourself in your sleeping clothes on the dirt floor. Scattered around you are old, dusty skeletons, dressed in tattered clothing and rusted armor. This was not the world that you remembered. Even if you called out for help there was no response but the light howling of the wind that lead further down the cave. There seem to be some light going above, which was the only source of illumination that even allows you to see your surroundings. There was really only one place to go unless you intend to end your life here.

Of the skeletal remains, there were very few things worth scavenging. There was a solid wooden staff, intricately carved if a bit dirty. On one body was an intact backpack full of supplies; there was a rolled up furred bedroll, some sort of eating utensil set made of copper, what appeared to be a matchbox, a few bundles of sticks, an empty canteen, and a coil of rope. In it's own separate sack was a box containing what appeared to be bread, however it was surprisingly hard. You couldn't even crush it in your hand. There was also a spare set of clothing here, what appears to be a pair of pants and a shirt, though they were a bit too big for you.

As for weapons there seemed to be a almost intact set of throwing knives tucked into the bandolier of one skeletal corpse without a head. There were ten knives total; these knives looked far too thin to be used to cut or slash, but they looked somewhat like the sort of throwing knives ninjas would use. And finally, of the corpses there was one that was disturbingly small. The other bodies at least might've been adults, but this one was of a very small person. Whatever they had seemed to have been taken or destroyed, but underneath the bones you could make out some sort of canvas. If you were willing to dig underneath, you'd find a flatten pouch containing five gold coins. Additionally, you'd soon find a small piece of jewelry you're familiar with. You remember this as this accessory belonged to you, though your memories of you wearing it to sleep was fuzzy. Still it's something familiar in this unfamiliar world.

The climb out of the cave would feel almost treacherous as you traverse towards the unknown, but it would be harmless as you find yourself looking across a truly new landscape. The air here is crisp and cold, and it's difficult for you to figure out what time it is. The sun was up, but whether it was rising or lowering you won't know until hours later. You are but a mere speck in this vast landscape. And should you turn around to see what was behind you, you'd suddenly find that the cave you came out of was no longer there. Now there was only solid dirt and rock. No going back.

In the distance you could make out the vague signs of smoke. A rather tall and thick tower of black smoke. If you had to guess, it actually wouldn't take you very long to reach the source, perhaps ten or twenty minutes at most. But even from your vantage point you cannot make out what is the cause of this smoke, as it's deep inside a canopy of trees.

What shall you do?
So, I don't normally do these things so I'll keep it simple.

Been itching to do a sort of D&D esque story centered around a single player's character as oppose to a whole group. That's not to say you'll be on your journey alone, as I'll be making the NPC's that will be your party members, but in general I just really wanna try my hand at being the DM of a story about a singular person.

The game will be D&D 5e based, though I also know pathfinder to a certain extent. Just hit me up if you're interested in either or.
14 isn't too bad. But yeah, Orchid would totes be down for taking out this guy first if we're going on the offensive.
Ha ha, and I've brought this RP back to life! Sorry for the long wait folks. If you all want we can just timeskip over to the next day, or you all can spend some time talking among each other. I'm good for either way.
Seraph shook her head at Nathan's question. "That rain is as much a problem for them as it is for us. Frankly if the rain hadn't flooded the forests, there would be plenty of food to forage there too. Not to mention I've seen a Rain Dance preformed before, but not this intense or for this long. There has to be a pokemon every one-hundred meters or so doing a rain dance for days on end. Even pokemon who could naturally summon a raid storm wouldn't be able to cover this whole area this badly. Unless well... It's a powerful one." Seraph listened to everyone as they offered to help. She had a small smile on her face, pleased to hear this. "I know Mr. Merc wouldn't want any of us to leave to look into this right now. Too dangerous. If Mrs. Mimi was here I'd gladly go out and find out what's been happening myself. But since you all are here I think we can work something out. The ghosts will be a problem, but I have an idea that'll help you all fight them. We can't do it tonight since it's late, but tomorrow first thing in the morning I'll be teaching you all a move that should help you against both the ghosts, and any pokemon who might fight us. For now rest up here. I'll bring out some blankets."

Meanwhile as everyone was enjoying their meals, Munchi gladly took Ravi's bowl when offered, scarfing it down and licking it clean. He gave a satisfied burp before falling over on his side and quickly falling asleep. Vi would be able to consume food normally too, and it felt satisfying as one might expect when you eat food. It didn't feel quite the same as how she passively consumed emotions, but it fed her hunger either way. As for Nathan, being a seedot was weird, but he would have the biologicaly knowledge that his "mouth" was located at the bottom of his head, roughly where his chin would be. It was a bit odd considering that he was effectively a head on wobbly legs, but it would have to due.

Seraph and Honey would leave to get some blankets. They could only manage to get three, but they also brought some firewood to keep the fireplace warm and a few more cushions. Honey tottered forward laying out the bedding. "Um... Tomorrow, I'll also be going to the forest and getting some mushrooms for more soup. I'm pretty fast so I can usually go on my own, but the mushrooms near the house are all gone now. I'll have to go deeper so... If you all could come with me, that'll be great! We can after Seraph teaches you all that new move." Honey yawned as Seraph held the buneary close. "We should go to bed now Honey. Don't mind Munchi, he's actually a very quiet and heavy sleeper. He can be very comfortable to sleep on as long as he doesn't roll on top of you. Anyways I'll see you all in the morning."

Soon the two would leave the party on their own. There was no sun to tell the time, but after the intense fight with those murkrows and the general discomfort of sleeping on a dirt floor, the house was soothing and would easily lure any of the pokemon to sleep. Still they were free to discuss things among themselves and the fire was going strong enough that it'll last some time before it would need more firewood. With full bellies and a plan, tonight's sleep would be fitful and without any threats or unusual occurrence. At least, none that anyone would remember.
I should really work on a post.
