Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Eeeeh works for me.

Sea lions, much like regular lions, are typical animals nobility chooses to represent them due to their strength and ferocity. Though they don’t seem much different from beasts as far as intelligence goes, they’re actually classified as monstrosities (thus spells like Beast Speak doesn’t work on them). While individually dangerous, wild sea lions are deadly effective pack predators and can often be found roaming in packs of 3-6 to hunt down large prey. Finally it is said that sea lion claws can be used to create water breathing potions and their manes are highly effective to keep one-self protected from cold weather and effects especially in the see ocean.
You can see that there are glass vials above the lock now that you can see the inside of the chest. It’s a fairly basic concept: fill these vials with alchemist fire and if the lock is tampered with improperly, the vials break and burn everything inside of the chest. Being made of iron will ensure the chest, even though it’ll get hot, won’t cause the ship to catch on fire. Disabling this will require thieves tools.

As for his knowledge of sea lions you can roll nature. He will at the very least know that yes, they tend to be reserved for nobility as specialized hunting or guard animals.
"Actually, last I saw em he was with Shor and the others. It's why he told me ta head up 'ere and such. Dunno what Shor's doin with the guy but I imagine dat might have somethin ta do wif why Shor's been all mum about wot's goin on." Yorik crossed his arms as he looked at all of you. "Now, suppose I gotta say officially, ye can't be going down in da sewers gettin involved. I know ye wanna, but officially I gotta tell ya no. Unofficially... Well, let's just say I saw some Lightning Company emblems leavin the city, all fancied up and such. If I had ta guest those louts are escortin someone important outta 'ere. I'd half a mind to chase em down myself but well... Officially, I ain't suppose to." He wiped his in the direction of where he saw the Lightning Company leaving before rubbing the back of his neck. "I ain't gunna pretend I can simplify wotever shite Shor and Aisha go on about when dey go to da castle, but I get dat things ain't as simple as bashin heads and callin it a day. Way I see it ya got two leads ta follow. Ya can either head into da sewers an talk ta Shor bout wot he's doin, or maybe see what dem thunderheads are doing leavin town when all this is goin on. Yer choice."
This will be your second night. It looks like it might be a four day journey, or at the very least you won't hit port until tomorrow night.
Othie was hesitant to go onto your hand, but with a bit of wincing she clambers on and allows you to carry her, though she seems to try and hide as much as she can in her current state. Down below deck many of the sailors were asleep, though Buggsy was working hard into the night. The men can't survive long voyages on the sea on hardtack alone, and while supplies and resources were limited, the bugbear knew how to make due with what little he has as long as he puts the time into it. The kitchen was painfully small especially for someone as big as Buggsy, but there was at least enough space for you enter. Upon seeing you, Buggsy puts down the rolling pin he was using to knead some dough, giving you a stern look. "Oi, kitchen ain't open. Ain't you one of the nightwatchers? Ya better not be here to steal any food!"
Dimos doesn't seem to be here.
Once you receive the key, you slide it into the lock. At first it doesn't seem to work, but with a bit of wriggling you could hear mechanisms fall into place as the chest unlocks. Inside smelled wet and humid, and upon opening the box you find what appears to be a large egg of some sort. It was covered in a wet sticky membrane and there were some sort of hay like fiber serving as it's nest. The egg itself was grey and smells salty for some reason. Your men seem uneasy seeing such a large thing. "Is that some sort of monster egg captain?" Oliver asks as he clutches his weapon tightly, almost as if expecting the egg to hatch. Nyx looks from the ship wheel, rubbing her chin. "It's definitely an egg belonging to some sort of sea creature, but I can't say I know what. Why were the elves carrying something like this?" Tayang looks to you, not nearly as perturbed by the egg as the rest of your crewmen. "If I had to guess, this egg might be sea lion. Sea elves are known for raising them for their nobility and such, same as you would a hunting hound. Raising one from infancy will make sure it's loyal to it's master, might even come from a good breed too. Of course, we don't know what's in it until it hatches."
Sorry for the long silence, been having brain farts about posting all week. Hopefully I can get into the swing of things now.
Your friends were pretty set for equipment for now. Pylia had ideas to buy scrolls, but didn't know anything in particular she needs so refrains from doing so. Buddy spent most of his time swinging his axe around to get familiar with it's new power while Shortfang was pursuing arrows. It all seemed like they were set to go, so after you said your farewells the party left to find Shor. At the barracks, it seemed like only Yorik of all people was there. Upon seeing you he allows your party to enter while he serves some water. "Aye there Sylvia an friends. Fancy meetin ye here. Guess yer looking fer da boss eh? Headed down to the sewers he did, something about Thunder Company or some such. Seemed somewhat ornery about it, just got here this morning me self. I asked him wot was wrong but all he told me was ta tell ye, now dat yer here, that he and the shorties gotta take care of things themselves and would rather dat ye stay outta it. I wish I could tell ya wot else dat means, but far as I can guess something happened up top that makes things riskier fer ye and yours ta take part. Politics an shite."

Pylia rubbed her chin thinking about what Yorik just told them. "Well... We are potentially ruining the name of a nobleman, so I could imagine that all of the evidence we found could be something that they'd want to keep a secret. Though what Shor and the others are doing in the sewers I have no clue." Shortfang looks over to you as he fiddles with a bone tipped crossbow bolt. "We go to sewer? Shor say don't help, but gotta be something big big." Buddy simply stands there at attention waiting to see what the group decides. "As much as I'd like to bring justice, this is a delicate matter. Jumping in blindly could cause a lot of problems if Shor insist that we stay out of it. I can't say I like it, but I understand it." Pylia spoke. Shortfang loads his crossbow bolt and puts his weapon away. "Friends gotta help friends. If Shor in trouble, we help em out."
Alternatively if the timeline isn’t too wonky, you could find Mamoru and Gromgard and ask them about it, possibly while they’re reporting in with the boss man.
