Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

That’s a definite save, I ninja’d a bit more in my past post. Sorry about that.
Don’t forgot a dex save. You probably won’t take much damage anyways, but it’s the difference between taking 8 or 16, and with how little HP you do have, it can still hurt if you fail!

Additionally I forgot one thing I may allow: you can try use your deflect arrows to change the course of fate. It’ll eat your reaction but you can roll high enough on the damage reduction die, it’s possible for you to not only intercept the knife (thus centering the explosion on you and not catch your allies) but possibly even catching the blade and throwing it somewhere else.

You’re looking for an 8 or better on your d10.
Combat is effectively over, however! Time is of the essence! What can you do to save Pylia's life as she has seconds to live!?
Erendal stumbled as you struck him in the knee, kneeling there for a moment. He seemed to be panting frantically, likely at his wits end. He looks up and sees the two guards who have abandoned him, but he can't make up any words as he just growls at them. Meanwhile your allies had managed to more-or-less subdue the last guard, who after being caught by Shortfang's net, shot in the kneecaps, battered by Pylia's club and sword, and stabbed again by Buddy, dropped his sword in surrender. "No... No no no no no! This can't be how it ends!" Erendal roars as he slams his hands into the ground to the point he's breaking his fingers. "I WON'T LET IT END LIKE THIS! MY LEGEND WON'T END HERE! AAAAAAAARGH!" Erendal takes out a dagger from his shirt. In the brief moment you saw it, it looked like the dagger the skeleton mage had back at the strange waterfall cave where you found Buddy. But as soon as he took it out Erendal stabbed the dagger into his hand, causing the blade to grow a molten orange glow.

"YOU WILL ALL DIE HERE! YOU, YOU YOU YOU YOU!" And in an instant, he tossed the the dagger right pass you, and it exploded in a ball of fire that engulfed him and the two knights who had bothered to defend him. You and your allies were equally consumed by the flames, doing your best to minimize the damage. Fortunately for you your robes did exactly as Skinwalker described, dampening the damage of the flames despite how close you were at the center of the explosion. By the time the smoke cleared, Erendal and his two knights were charred corpses. Buddy was blackened and singed, but still okay. Shortfang was also burnt though this could only be told via his clothing, as his scales were already burnt black. Syfr, who was flying towards Erendal in hopes of distracting him, was also vaporized in the blast. However you would also notice that Pylia was blasted away, her body laying unmoving and partly on fire a few feet where she was once standing. She wasn't able to move fast enough to avoid taking the full blast from the fireball.

Tyrael looked between the lizardman and the newcomer, someone who appeared to be a mutant sylve with water magic. From the way she spoke and acted towards the lizardman, they were both partnered together and weren't aiming to kill him. Otherwise she would've used that magic to end him, or ensure that the lizardman could finish Tyrael off in his weakened state. Telepathically he commanded Zastriel to keep an eye on them, but otherwise he put his weapons away on his belt. He focused mostly on the lizardman, trying to decipher what he had said. Best Tyrael could manage was that the creature was here "to help", but beyond that Tyrael had no idea what else he said. Apparently his name was Grossk, if what the sylve said is true.

Slowly but surely the blood in Tyrael's body calmed, and soon came the pain. His shoulder stung, and he felt that perhaps a few bones might've cracked when he fell down the crags. His arm was now dripping blood as well. He did his best to bandage his wounds meagerly, but he'll need a few minutes, ideally an hour, to rest his wounds before he tries to do much else. He regrets not studying any form of healing magics, but those were never easy to master to make them cost-effective. At least he can still loot these bodies. Tyrael took the swordsman's weapons and armor, which were relatively intact since Tyrael had focused on breaking their unarmored limbs over disarming or crushing their bodies. Tyrael could likely armor himself up in the Varuk armors, or if nothing else, sell them next time he's in town. There was also the matter of the skiff itself. Tyrael had no idea how to operate it, but it was hist best chance to get out of this wasteland alive.

And of course, there were the two newcomers. They seemed... Nice enough. They weren't trying to kill him at least. He's not entirely sure why they helped him so he doesn't trust them. But if they aren't here to kill him, he can cooperate with them. If nothing else it seems like the sylve is more concerned about the slaves, so she'll likely be easy to work with if Tyrael simply offers to try and use the skiff to return to whatever town they were stolen from. He vaguely overheard the sylve ask him and Grossk to dispose of the bodies. Tyrael figured he'd just loot their corpses and leave their bones to rot in the sun, but if it gets their cooperation, he'll comply. He looks over to Grossk with a nod. "Strip the bodies of their arms and armor. Coin too. I can bury them myself." To show what he means, Tyrael waved his hand over the swordsman's corpse. While doing so, the sand underneath him shifted upwards, as if consuming the man, but caused the body to drop into the now empty pit where the sand was. Than Tyrael simply released his control over the sand and caused it to fill up the hole with the corpse hidden underneath. Now the only sign that there was ever a body there was a small mound of sand.

If there was no complications, the bodies collectively had various leather armors, three long axes, two scimitars, and five daggers. One of set of armor was useless however on account of the giant hole that had been ripped right through it, but everything else was salvageable. Tyrael was no tanner but he could likely rig the leather together into a form of gambison. While his stone skin is much more efficient for protecting his body, that spell only lasts for a short time and eats away at what little mana reserve he has to conjure his spells. So a bit of extra armor will help assist covering for his defects until he can gain a more solid grasp of his powers. Not to mention, it'll help protect his limbs the next time he has to take an axe to his arm. As for other supplies, the skiff was well stocked with clean water and dry rations. Most of it just cram bread and some sort of fruit chips. They tasted vaguely like grapes if Tyrael lets them sit in his mouth to reconstitute, but otherwise may as well be sweet crackers. And most importantly, a map.

Zastriel had looked it over a bit, but from the looks of it they are about a two-days journey from a nearby town called Kalla. It would seem like the Skiff was going to head to some unmarked location on the map, but based off a few papers Zastriel found, she suspects it's some sort of slaver camp. There were documents written in a strange sort of cant that Zastriel couldn't really understand, but gets the vague idea that they're instructions for how one conducts themselves in such a shady locale. Nothing that would really interest Tyrael personally, but maybe it'll be relevant one day. More importantly they'll need to get the skiff back onto the sands if they want to use it to go anywhere. And to that end, Tyrael would need the assistance of the newcomers.

"I will speak simply: I need your assistance to take this skiff to the town of Kalla, so I can escape this cursed desert before disaster takes me. I have magics that will allow him," Tyrael motions towards Grossk. "To pull the skiff from the crag, and from there I can use more of my magic to repair some of the damage. Afterwards it should be in condition to takes us to a nearby down... Though I do not know how to operate such a thing." Tyrael was vaguely aware that he was being quite demanding, but he hopes that the two would understand his lack of formality considering recent circumstances (i.e. almost dying to bandits, thirst, and hunger) so that they can get a move on more quickly. He rubs his sore shoulder, which he had bandaged haphazardly. "Forgive me if I seem demanding. I have no desire to have a formal conversation in our current conditions. I'm sure we can speak more kindly once we are safe and moving."
Over the course of time, Mamoru’s main duties were the same as they usually were: keep the Chateau clean and command the skeleton butlers. She has also been loaning them out as basic labor to any of the other chapter lords or characters who she would trust with them. Their undead nature makes them perfect little cogs in the grand machine that keeps the Chateau growing. Meanwhile Mamoru has also been receiving information from her clones, however during those interactions Mamoru felt slight hints of guilt.

She never truly told Rodias that she had done this. She had, of her own accord, sent these clones out and would even go out of her way to obscure their existence or purpose. She didn’t even tell Ashara, feeling as though such things were on a need-to-know basis, and no one needed to know. Or did they? In the end Mamoru did tell Rodias honestly that she had sent a clone out to the town of Gronbell, and would remain on indefinite investigation until otherwise notified. What Mamoru failed to mention to Rodias was the other clones scattered around the world also undergoing their own adventures and investigations, but she at least implied to Rodias that she has a clone out there, and is capable of sending more. That was enough to ease Mamoru’s woes.

More time would pass before eventually Mamoru was called upon by Rodias. He was holding a meeting with other powerful chateau members, so Mamoru ceased her current task to go tend to him. There he announced his intentions to take over the leadership of a local lord via proxy. An excellent idea: this effectively grants Chateau total control while the native populace are none the wiser. Very important since they’re still gauging the strength of this world. Additionally Rodias even carved cute miniatures of everyone! Mamoru made a mental note to see if she can take one with her after this meeting.

Rodias would than explain Mamoru’s purpose: she was to infiltrate the manor as a mere maid and perform some basic espionage. She smiled with glee and accepted this task: she loved doing skullduggery! Not to mention thanks to her information network, Mamoru knew how to create a false identity using various far away villages so she can assuredly come across as a native and not an outsider. She knew a village of draconoids, a bit of their customs, and how someone such as her could come into the service of such a lord in these distant lands, thanks to one of her clones who have integrated into the community.

“I will not fail you, my lord. And I will make sure Bone Daddy returns to the Chateau on standby, ready for whatever task you’ll have him do.”

Meanwhile this past week Butterfly has been making a bit of a urban legend of himself. While still hidden behind his illusions, he has been protecting and researching the ritual site. He concludes that the location is a very weak summoning circle, possible to summon perhaps a level 10 minor demon with sufficient offerings. Whoever doing the sacrifices however lacked anything of value: the bones and remains were of fairly weak people. Hundreds more would need to be sacrificed to get anyone’s attention, and thousands more to seal the deal. Butterfly could construct a level 15 Sword Wraith Warrior using just the parts here, and in fact did, just to spite the fools who decided to try this bizarre ritual instead of using necromancy like any sensible mage.

That being said Butterfly’s post had been quite peaceful. Occasionally human hunters would come close to the ritual site, but Butterfly and his sentry never needed to appear thanks to the bunnies. Bone Daddy had been raising some local rabbits in captivity, making them fat and plump until they grew into adults and had children, and then he’s peacefully kill them with his magic and raise them as undead. Since they were freshly killed rigor mortis hasn’t set in, so whenever wanderers came too close Butterfly simply distracted them with a fat and juicy hare. Then send said wanderers on a bit of a chase to snatch up the tender morsel once they’re far away enough from the ritual site. This has created a bit of a rumor that it’s a good time to hunt rabbits now when you hear the song grass, the stuff that grows near the ritual site.

All things will come to an end however as Butterfly received a command to return to the Chateau. He ordered the Sword Wraith Commander to stay and protect as Butterfly returned to the Chateau. He also brought the rabbits along and intends to gift them to the others in the event they want a fat rabbit as a pet or meal. He let some of the younger rabbits go free in the forest and only took the ones ready for slaughter.

Butterfly stood alongside his fellow skeletal brothers outside of Rodias Throne room. They were gossiping about the recent happenings in their native Bone Chatter, a very subtle language known only to skeletons. Though technically their superior and even their creator, Butterfly spoke casually to his fellow skeletons as he himself is simply an underling to Mamoru, and they are all subservient to the Sable Lords, so the formality of hierarchy need only apply to the chapter lords and the creator himself.

They spoke of many things they’ve heard and notice, mostly about the potential drama between the chapter lords. Many have noticed that they have not been sent to the sixth chapter at all, wondering if perhaps Mamoru has issues with Chunnitrix, or possibly if Chunnitrixx will not allow outsiders in her domain. They’ve also overheard Kath being furious about something shortly after her mission, with the common rumor being that Lady Ashara might’ve done something untoward Kath during the quest, as she was the only one present during that mission. The skeletons silently gossiped among themselves to trade secrets and here-say, standing perfectly still and quiet while carrying an assortment of drinks, platters, and snoozing fat rabbits.
You mean 30 GP as the total cut of the plunder for everyone? Depends on if you and/or Tayang share the actual profits. You’re effectively raking in 700 GP, and if you give everyone 30 GP that’s 240 from the plunder alone, not including minor loot such as the armor, weapons, and gold from the elves.

Naturally some will feel like they deserve a bigger cut. Tayang as your first mate or Derrick as the closest thing to a medic on the ship. Nyx also values her magic skills highly.

Of course they’ll be thankful for the cut of the loot. But you’ll also have to keep in mind and be careful that they don’t get too used to getting such a large potion of the haul. 240 out of 700 is effectively 1/3 of the profits. If you somehow managed to sell say, 7000 gp worth of loot, most of the crew may expect around the same percentage going back to them.

This is one of those things where you have to make the call as the captain, and we just see how things go from there.
With an 18 you could convince Theresa to round out the total pay to 600. You can point out that while Theresa would claim to have had these textiles in holding for a while, you both know that since these textiles are in quite new and in good condition without any damage from moths, insects, or other creatures, Theresa can afford to actually hold onto them and wait until she hears about a good deal to make even more money off of these.
Othie would eat a surprising amount, eating enough food to satisfy you. This was a far cry from how little she ate when she first met you, but perhaps that was just because of the energy she'll need to properly heal. As the two of you ate, Othie seemed to be a slight more cheerier, at least enough to engage with you in conversation. "So... Miss Caeda, where are you going? Do you have a place you call home? My home is the great crystal woods. The trees there and grow shiny gemstones that make even the night look bright. I used to live in a nice crystal before... Before I was captured." Talking about home seemed to make Othie a bit sad as she took a few bites out of the cheese.
The elves, though wounded, sore, and emotionally distressed, are fairly healthy all things considered. Their ability to effectively fight or be of any physical use is low, but at the same time not so dire that they would be in any danger. They ate their food, meager as it is, so they aren't particularly hungry either. They're otherwise cooperative enough to avoid your ire as you prepare them to be traded off.

The short woman looks up to you as you speak, a soft smile on her face but her eyes pierced through you like harpoons. The look of a killer. "An absolute chore. Nothing but smelly sailors hauling ocean fish in to sell in the market. It's getting warmer too, so it'll be even more costly to try and preserve them so sell in the next town. I suppose with any luck that alone would justify why I'll be raising the prices on them, just to make even... But I imagine that I'll make quite a tidy profit from you, Captain." Once the formalities were out of the way, Thersa will go about appraising your cargo. In total, Thersa will be willing to buy the textiles for 562 gold total. While high quality, since she can't exactly disclose who the true traders are, she'll have to make up a story about selling off some cargo she had piled up and needs to clear some space. As for the prisoners, she makes it clear that she's not a ransom broker. The best she can do is smuggle them to a city where she knows she can sell them off, and what they might give her isn't guaranteed to be good. But since they're sea elves and in relatively good condition, she'll pay 25 gold for each elf, for 100 GP total.
