Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

Ah, a Zeroth post! I forgot those existed. Rodger dodger, CS in the making.
Btw you going to make a character sheet for us or do we just kinda give you an abstract and see which one tickles your fancy the most? I more or less have an entire idea ready, just need a CS to put it in.
It’ll be a busy day for me, but I’ll see about getting something up.
Hunter sighed as he took out a small metal container from his pocket. It contained multiple partially-smoked cigarettes, and he took one out, lit it up, and started smoking. "Is that so huh? Well sorry, but Underhaven isn't taking new people right now." Donny was surprised and annoyed. "What?! Why not? There was word that Underhaven was looking for new people! This better not be some trick." Letting out a puff of smoke Hunter looked to Donny and then Cat. "Gotta understand, this is the first time Underhaven has formally made it known that we're looking for newcomers. We had out traders let out word hoping to find promising new settlers. Of course, what happened is a bunch of deadbeats and criminals thought they could come to Underhaven and mooch off our handouts. Frankly I thought it was a bad idea myself, but no one asked for my opinion. Suffice to say it turned out badly." Hunter motioned towards the other side of the tunnel where Donny and Cat came from.

"Long story short, we had to drive them out. They got the bright idea of making a run for the nuclear reactor and tried to get mutations. Surprisingly enough only a few of them died. Most of them became mutants, though some also quickly turned feral. Was hell to drive them out from the colony. Lost good men even if we ultimately managed to drive em off. So now they're stalking the tunnels, knowing we're in a bit of a predicament. Not enough manpower to chase them down, and only barely enough to man the walls." Finishing his cig, Hunter tossed it to the side before stepping back, allowing Cat and Donny to follow him. "But if you managed to make it this far, and through a Cold Wave at that, maybe you're a bit more useful than those chumps. If you're still interested in joining, and you're willing to do some work first, you can talk to the head of security. You'll most likely have to prove your worth somehow, maybe grab some supplies or even deal with the outcasts. If that doesn't interest you, best I can recommend is that you turn back to where you came. Cold Wave's still fresh, so I'm sure no one is out and about yet."

Donny looked over to Cat. He didn't have anywhere else to goo. No way he could make it back to the Valklin, and there was an even lesser chance that they were going to take him back. And he didn't know any other colonies in the area. "Well... I can't say I'm too surprised. I figured we'd have to do some work before they'd take us in. I just hope after we do something for them they'll accept us and not give us the run around. If nothing else, I have some supplies I could trade in. Restock on food, maybe even make some ammo."
Dope. Let’s party.
Would you guys wish for a fellow NPC merc?

Yes, works for me. Maybe someone who can drop lore for us as needed.

Should your team have a leader?

Yes, possibly even the NPC. Someone to direct us so the group isn't immediately torn apart due to conflicting personalities.

Do you want some light dice rolls in the game?

Neutral. Probs doesn't need to be a whole system, but it would be good to have a solid idea of how the dice helps and works.

Sure why not. Let’s party.
Tungsten knelt in silent respect as he listened to Faetalis praise his work. He almost wanted to speak out and humbly admit he simply did as he was told, but withheld his comment, as he was not asked to speak and he knew that Faetalis meant only good things by giving him such praise. More importantly however, she had a task for him, and confirmed some suspicions he had about the area. Namely that the flames he saw in the distance was that of the locals, coming to investigate their arrival. While none can be certain of their intentions, Faetalis has done an excellent job suggesting that regardless, they secure the Infactorium's safety. One cannot be too cautious in these unknown lands after all.

Faetalis has also given him, as well as Levia, a vital task. Once more the machine would be called upon to use his sensors to detect and determine the physical structure of the area around them, but instead of utilizing this ability for resource gathering (as was their original function), Faetalis intends to use it for fortification and destruction. Namely to cut off any paths to the guild while it is still undergoing reconstruction. "An excellent idea, Creator Faetalis. Your wisdom shines even in these dark times, and your mercy to both your loyal servants and those who would come to investigate us truly shows your steady hand. Indeed, lesser minds would think to attack blindly against the unknown, risking death and danger to all, but a cool head shall prevail over boiling blood." Truthfully, Tungsten would have preferred to take on these strangers directly, if only to confirm their intentions, but he knows he lacks the manpower to do so despite his desires, which is why Faetalis is the leader and he is not.

Conveniently, Levia knocked one of the Skeleton Soldiers out of the room. While critically damaged, it could still move, so Tungsten turned to it. "Receive Io." The machine did it's best to pull itself together and left towards Big Scrap Alley. Tungsten then turned towards Levia, nodding to her now that they had an objective. "As soon as I receive my weapon I will be ready to embark with you and Creator Faetalis. With her guidance and your strength, we will protect the Infactorium." Tungsten's words were filled with encouragement, despite being a machine entity. A hint of his bardic powers granting Levia a slight boost in power, as once Tungsten really gets his performance going Levia would need to be careful not to go overboard with the new strength he is able to grant her.
”... Hmm. I’m losing my touch.”

A voice came from the darkness as a figure soon came into view. One hand up in peace, but the other holding onto a crossbow ready to fight as well. The man who came out though looked... Ghoulish. But he spoke without any difficulty, albeit with a raspy voice. ”Seeing that you’ve gotten pass the traps you must not be full ghoul. But doesn’t meant you aren’t bandits. Names Hunter, from Underhaven. And you all?”

Donny already had his pistol out, but also didn’t start aiming until he was certain what was going on. He glanced to Cat before speaking quickly and tersely. ”Donny. Gunsmith. Came to Underhaven looking for a new home.” Donny realized what sort of a perilous position he and at were in right now. They were surrounded by traps with little to no cover, effectively sitting ducks. Whereas Hunter didn’t have any traps and was just on the edge of visible range; it wouldn’t take more than a few steps to be covered in darkness, making it impossible for Donny to see him and only barely visible for Cat. The tunnels meant there wasn’t that much room for him to maneuver, but also meant even less for Donny and Cat.
Sorry for the silence. Will try to post something over the weekend.
