Some people need to make a hard choice when deciding which two karaoke streams they want to listen to. I have no such weakness: I have two ears for a reason.

The hard part about trying to play some politically savvy mastermind is the assumption that the world operates off real world politics and not your DM’s politics.

Don't put too much stock in prophesies. At best they're full of shit, but more often than not they're one of those self-fullilling kinds. Plan for what happens afterwards instead.

A character isn't deep or compelling just because you let them get hurt a lot, are always depressed, or do morally questionable things.

Bio

If you're here either you're wondering what I'm doing cause I need to post in your RP (In which case, calm yo tits, I'll get around to it), or you want to know who I am. So let's begin.

I'm a college age asian kid who has more heart than he has senses. I'm still working out this whole "adulthood" thing, so until then I just do what I feel I must. As far as personality and traits go, I'm not one for boasting. So if there's anything redeeming about myself you'd have to figure it out in person or by word-of-mouth. Generally however I'm rather perverted, in the best and worst ways. nothing is too much until I've crossed the line, and that just means I've started.

As far as Roleplays I like, I have a thing for fantasy, though I'm also good for some types of sci-fi, supernatural, Modern, and slice-of-life. If it's open and sandbox, I'll probably join it. Never really been a romantic, I often chose to sexualize any notion of romantic encounters I come across. I generally write at Casual quality, though I have no issues with Free-Level Rp/Players and I can hold my own in Advance.

A few extra bodies and I'll go about making an ooc.
Man I'm just blanking on what I can do for Rev. Just feels like I don't really have a sense of direction for him right now.
2 skills proficiency of your choice, 1 language proficiency, and 1 tool proficiency. The background feature is called "Bright Mutation", basically due to the curse in the land prior to your physical death, you all had some strange mutation that grants you an unusual ability. It can be combat related, such as having grown long arms for greater range or wings to fly away and dodge enemies, or more utility like such as being able to smell magic items in the air or create a shelter to rest. Within limits or course, so it'll be a case by case.
The night was largely uneventful for Tyrael. After taking his bath he simply retired for the night, having not had much of a rest since he had started traveling through the desert. He slept rather soundly, though made sure to keep Zastriel on watch in the event of treachery. He also made sure she was in relatively close proximity to Lynn in the event something happened to her, though fortunately it also seemed as though nothing happened. When morning came Tyrael awoke and ate a a hearty breakfast served by the innkeeper. However as Tyrael gathered his belongings and headed to the Oasis, he heard whispers of concern. Apparently some of the townsfolk were missing items. Tyrael simply assumed it had to do with the festivities from the day before. Tyrael didn't really partake, and certainly none of his belongings were misplaced. Though he was concerned that perhaps someone had robbed Lynn; she didn't seem the type to know better if she ended up drunk.

Tyrael would arrive to the Oasis to check on Lynn. Compared to the day before, Tyrael looked much nicer, since he was able to wash himself and his clothes. He even made sure to keep his armor cleaned as well, though by design it always had a rather muted tone since Tyrael didn't want his armor to reflect light. He also made sure to get used to having his new axe on hand as well. It was odd feeling such a heavy weapon on his person again. Once he found Lynn, Tyrael would knock on a wall to get her attention. "Good morning Lynn. How are you feeling?"
I'll see what I can do. Hopefully I'll get something done by tomorrow.
I'm thinking level 3. That's where you can start doing fun things.
Watched some Ender Lilies gameplay and felt inspired to try and run a 5e game somewhat similar in theme and style. I'll keep it short, but basically here's the idea I have thus far:

Your characters are spirits of warriors, mages, cunning tricksters, or really any other person of great potential who has died in a blighted Kingdom for one reason or another. Effectively while you create your character by standard race/class rules, you'll be using a custom background reflecting your current fate. This leads to the next part.

Your characters are bound to a single character controlled by me. This character channels your powers, due to a sever lack of power on their own part, effectively turning them into a sort of gestalt of not just two classes, but of each class from each player. In practice, when it comes to combat initiate will be done as normal however when it is your turn, you get to move my character and preform your actions as normal, and when your turn is up you lose your control and it's someone else's turn. This has potential drawback and limitations, for example if two spell casters are both casting concentration spells, as long as they each are casting different spells it's possible for them to technically have my character affected by both spells. However if my character is struck by an attack, both casters need to roll a concentration check to maintain their spells as well. Additionally should this character die for one reason or another, that effectively kills off all the spirits at once, so it's imperative you protect them if you want to continue your existence.

There may be a future possibility for your characters to obtain a physical form so you can fight and act independently of my character, enabling more tactical combat as well as keeping the character safe. To do this however requires something important from you as a character: I'd need you to send me information about an area where your character had died, and more or less help me set up the scene to explain your death and how going to this area could spiritually strengthen your character to Manifest a physical form. This helps in two ways: helps me get a better sense of your character, and helps keep you as a player invested in the story. Because that brings me to my next point.

There's a possibility that a player may leave for one reason or another. Maybe they don't like the game, perhaps life simply couldn't find the time. I can understand why, and to ensure that the game proceeds smoothly despite the lost I've already thought of an IC reason of what happens. See, being a spirit is hard enough knowing that you've likely died a traumatic and painful death. Most people lose their minds and become the very monsters we'll no doubt he fighting. But some simply lose their purpose and vanish from existence without nary a whimper. It's a bleak existence out here, and it's all the more reason it's important to be able to find the will to keep fighting, somehow. That being said this also serves another purpose: should my character feel threaten or believe that your character is working against them, they can simply relinquish their bond with your spirit, which will also result in your demise as without an anchor to this world, you spirit simply becomes another mindless enemy. Keep that in mind if you're intending to create a character who doesn't care to cooperate with the team is more than willing to put their host in danger.

Anyways that's enough gabbing from me. If this sounds like a good idea go ahead and put your thoughts below. I'm likely only going to take six at most, so it'll largely be a first come first serve thing, but I'm willing to take more if others drop out. Additionally if you have any other questions or concerns feel free to ask them and I'll think about an answer. I'll admit I haven't gotten everything thought up so it'll be good for us to discuss it so we can work out the details.
Donny took a moment to think about what Cat said before simply shrugging. "Is what it is... Anyways rest up as well as you can. Unfortunately my work isn't quiet so... I'll try to be as quick as I can." The night goes uneventfully, aside from a stiff breeze that eventually kills the fire Donny was working with and forcing him to stop working for now. By the time Cat is awakened to do her watch, nothing happens either aside from a changing of the guard. However she is awake when it seemed like something was going on. Many of the other refugees were gathering up weapons and equipment and heading out towards the gate. It seemed like it was presumably "morning", and time for the refugees to earn their keep. It was also when the guards changed shifts again and this time, where two guards left, only one came out to replace them. But the one who came out was huge. A titan of a man with sickly yellow-green skin, standing around ten feet tall, possibly higher. He was so huge his head was only a few feet away from the ceiling, and even the makeshift barrier around the entrance was barely chest high. In lieu of conventional weapons this giant seemed to have some bricks hanging from chains on his, to be used as either flails or projectiles. And chances are the piles of cement bricks by the wall, which could've been mistaken as part of the reinforcement structure, was more likely to be his own ammunition in the defense of the wall.

Donny would be roused awake, and the first thing he'd do is check his foot. It was still sore, but not as much as before, so he could walk, possibly even run, as long as he doesn't do anything else to damage it today. Seeing the mutant he also seemed genuinely surprised though that was hard to tell behind his own metal mask. "Cripes. How did this ghouls get past that? That guy's bigger than a pseudogiant..." Donny commented as he got the fire going again. There wasn't much left but what little he was able to get going could be used to heat up some food. Though as all he had was his nutrient bricks, Donny simply heated up a pan of mosswine to mix the brick with for a bland porridge. Though he had a bit of salt and pepper he saved from last time he cooked, without any meat or vegetables to add to the meal, he'd feel like it would be a waste to use precious spices on an overall boring breakfast.

"Managed to get some parts done for the gun by the way. Missing bullets now, but I replaced enough that it's functional." Donny reached behind him and showed Cat the rifle. "Based off the design it's actually clip fed, so I managed to make a few clips if we ever get more bullets for it. I'd say it'll hold about five or so shots. Rifles like this aren't exactly the most practical in the metro but they pack a punch and they're good if for some reason we have to fight something topside. Just don't go beating someone to death with it, I've only managed to do enough to get it working again but too much damage could break it, and if it goes broke again I may as well just strip it for parts. With any luck however we could possibly trade it for something good. Either more supplies or a weapon I can actually refurbish into something better." He hands the gun to Cat to look over. He's already got a rifle of his own so he had no need for it, but if she felt she could make use of it, he'll leave it in her hands.

"So what's the plan? Looks like they're handing out spools so we can go strip those wires. Or we can keep looking around for clues about those ghouls. Not to mention we still have that map from the dead guy, had some locations marked on it. Could be something useful there, assuming they haven't already been picked clean. My foot doesn't feel like crap anymore so as long as I don't get shot in the ankle I should be good for running and gunning."
It's cool, I'm pretty slack myself. No rush for this stuff you know? Do it for fun. I'll try to get a post up sometime tomorrow.
Exploration is always good. Could fulfill all three categories really.
