Current Hey, I hate to say this, but I am probably leaving this place for the forseeable future. Those who are waiting for me on RPs can just... stop waiting, I guess. Sorry, all.

Well, @Truant, I believe what's wrong with you is in the name... your ability is Truant, you only get to act every other turn.

@Ampharos Boy, I guess that means you're going to get cave adaptation by the time this whole thing is done, and you'll vomit as soon as you leave your house, lol.

You ever read one of your RPs from years ago and just laugh at how bad it is?

Dragons vs unicorns, huh? I'm horribly biased in this case 'cause I HATE horses, so... dragons.

Well... if attacking the dark esper is what made that happen, keep in mind that at least two of us here are gamers, we operate by game logic. If a big threat shows up in a game, you'd usually attack that first, as not only does it usually destroy you faster, but it also often has some way of infinitely calling in/reviving/otherwise producing the smaller threats, making destroying the smaller threats pointless in that situation.
Unless you're trying to pull some FF2 Black knights stuff, it's usually not a good idea to start the game completely outmatched. You could have Robin say what needs to be said, though.
Oh, I know it is. Balance is always hard... at least, it is for me, but, then again, I can't take two steps without falling on my face, so what do I know about that stuff, right? :P
Well, I DID bring up something to do with the leveling, that is, you'd still have the 15 to spend, but you might also get +1 in stats you're good at, or, rarely, +1 in stats you're bad at before then.
(IE: my character's MAG has a good chance of going up on its own, whereas my character's STR has a bad chance of going up on its own.)
Considering my character's low SKL of 5, I'm amazed that I'm hitting ANYTHING right now, lololol.
I do kinda like fighting games, I just never really got into the likes of Tekken or Street Fighter.
I think it's obvious by now that the first fighting game I ever really played was Super Smash Bros., so I hope you can understand why I posted what I posted back there.
It seems like we've bitten off more than we can chew at this point. Our summoner couldn't find his teleportation spell, the zombies got some sort of increased strength, and to top it all off, a dark esper decided to show up to this little town. Well, this is horrible... how are we supposed to stop that thing? No... I can't think like that. I can't just give up. I don't know whether this thing is weak to anything or not, and I don't know how resistant it is to magic, and I'm probably better off not knowing, considering how powerful espers tend to be in general but I have to at least TRY. I can't just let this town get invaded because of a single new enemy. I think as this 'Robin' character and the summoner converse about this. I then finally decide to speak, oddly enough, to Robin "So, my gut was right, after all. You strangers HAVE been through this before. You know how to fight these things, and how to fight them in hordes like this," I then ask "What would do you think we should do? I mean, I suppose I could tell you more about the dark esper, but all you really need to know is that they're powerful, and ancient. That being said, they can, and have been defeated in the past," regardless of his response, I decided to try to attack the esper, alternating between fire and thunder spells just to try to see which one would do more, if either. The esper... it won't go down this easily, but I'm sure there's a way we can destroy it.

SPD: 10 (5 actions)

Speak and listen to Robin and the summoner (1 action) 11 LCK
Fire spells, alternating between fire and thunder, at the dark esper. (4 actions) 5 SKL, 17 MAG
Just a note, and I'm sorry to point this out, but I have 17 TOTAL magic, not 17 + weapon magic.
And that's your decision, I won't hold a grudge for sticking to it.
I'm doing fine. Say, have you considered my ideas for how HP/MP works in this? I mean, ultimately, it's your RP, and your choice, but, like any system, this one has a flaw in it.
