I guess I'll be working on my new character sometime today - after a very lengthy conversation with Jazzy here. :p

Coven: Shattered

The Occult. Even Jocasta, in all her journeys around the land to secret and ancient ruins, could not completely understand the force that drove the name. However she knew it was somehow, unexplainably, more knowledgeable and aware than any witch she had ever encountered and if it had branded this small band of fellows - there was drive and reason behind it. What was more curious was the symbol scolded into the back of her palm. It seemed fitting and had both an obvious and hidden meaning; a blade pointing downwards with a crescent moon in the background. She had been born on a full moon and always suspected that there was more reasoning to her magic than simple myths about the celestial body in the sky, but it was never backed with any proof. Now, among vague prophecies and hidden powers, she saw this symbol in front of a priestess that also bore the same. This probably wasn't a conquincidence or at least not one that she could think of anyways.

The overbearing feeling of fate and destiny was suddenly shattered as she heard the priestess fall and her eyes were drawn to a figure in the distance. And what a figure it was, to have drawn upon such a large blade and robes. The orb is what drew her attention to most though as the man practically swept it across the field with no incantation or any movements that she could see. That in of itself was a rarity that many witches did not possess in her experience - even some witches that could keep up with Jocasta had to make whispered incantations before spells. To will magic, even with small movements, spoke of experience and power that was not very well known and in fact was one of many reasons that Jocasta herself had become so famous.

Once again, thoughts were cut short as the flames around them started the roar with anger, threatening to topple the whole structure down on their heads. She didn't know any of her fellows besides Flowryde, but the masked witch threw her arms up and weaved magic into debris above them to protect them. Everything was happening so quickly that before she knew it, the doors had been turned to ash and another witch was forcing the smoke upward. Everyone was in a frenzy and Jocasta must've seemed the fool among the group as she mostly stood there and watched. It didn't last all that long though before she started to walk briskly towards the door, though again she would seem an idiot for having not ran towards it for her life, but nevertheless she made it out before Flowryde had and stood among the small circle.

In another life, perhaps, Jocasta might've spoken up - played the temporary leader until the group pulled together and started to work as a unit (if they even choose to do so), but in this life she was more than content to look to others on what they wanted to do. She would let them figure it out among themselves, after all, she was just a mercenary. The only stake she had in this besides the sudden thrust of fate was a very old friend.

Subject known as Eidyia is named aptly for her abilities. There are two major known mutations that have come from her Quartz injection, note below.

• Intuitive Aptitude: The subject, upon awakening from the procedure, seemed to have spaced out for several moments while looking around the room in a daze. Originally, our doctors were suggesting that the injection was far too powerful for her mind and were discussing to scrap the subject until she came back to the 'real world.' Upon this re-entry, she began to rattle off theories and equations that I could not keep up with, but appearances seemed she had gained a sudden and innate knowledge on the equipment surrounding her. In the passing months and after a few dozen tests, it has been concluded that anything that follows a logic pattern from electronics, biology, mechanics, and physics, can be instantly and innately understood by Eidyia after roughly three seconds of 'scanning' (note, that this is the best verb I can think of).

Thus, in reaction to this develop and the potential danger that comes along with it, we have holed her away from the others [mostly] and she only becomes involved in missions that Dr. Bridgette Lapis herself selects her for. They have given me strict orders to keep her under my care and not to let anything that could be turned against Obsidian make itself into her room.

• Remote Teleportation: It was not far after testing begun on her aptitude that she also let our doctors know of her second ability - being able to teleport herself, other objects, and other people as well. Upon request, she explained this in great detail, having gained an innate and deep understanding of this complex ability. While I do not possess the knowledge or experience (and I'm sure our scientist files can shed more light, given high enough classification) to understand it fully, I do understand that she made two very important notes; that she can move anything and everything and yet, it still has limitations and despite her knowledge, she must still train it.

Eidyia however has shown skill in the field with frightful efficiency. While one can imagine it's used for escape and defensive, I have been made aware through her use that it can also be used for offense and utility as well, from throwing knifes with amazing accuracy to removing parts of locks to bypass doors. We have installed various dampening fields in her room to discourage it's use to escape the facility all together since her explanations to the scientists within our organization.

Appearance: While her uploaded portrait provides more than enough accurate data to recognize her on sight, I am require to fill out any additional information here in the case of disguise or illusions of any sort. After a medical examination, we've noted that she stands roughly five feet, five inches, weight around hundred ten pounds and possess an average build. It's also been noted that after a few more that she has gained some lean muscle and gained weight (from her original hundred one pounds). Watching recordings of her after lights out have enlightened us to daily exercises she's picked up.

Personality: Before reading, I will note that her personality has either changed or been revealed after the injection - theories to follow. When first approached and during the 'watch' period, Eidyia was shaken and alone suffering from bouts of depression and despair. After explaining our offer, she jumped to what I can only relate to a cat jumping at the offer of food. She took our offer as a symbol of survival either of the physical sense or emotional sense (or perhaps both). However after the injection, she has become someone else - her subtly friendly attitude, her chattiness, and her humble nature (which we believed we could break down easily due to her condition) seemed to have vanished. Instead she strode forward with the quiet thoughtfulness, a confidence, and with little to no hesitation in the missions given to her.

My supervisors were worried at first that perhaps the injection made her snap inside but her continued willingness to do contracts have settled all of us of this concern. I theorize that this is perhaps her real nature and the confidence having sprouted forth from her sudden knowledge of practically anything but people. Though she has trouble with people sometimes, she is still an excellent team member and serves to support whomever is in the lead.

Strengths and Weaknesses
Eidyia's strengths are numerous and enough to cause us worry if she were ever to escape, but she does possess limits and weaknesses to her considerable power.

• Aptitude: While this ability is amazing and provides her with a wealth of information, the main factor in situations is still beyond her - people. People do not follow a logical pattern and are extremely complex and even though she can predict the more logic of us, she can never truly know what anyone is capable of or what we will do. So it is entirely possible to surprise her and ambush her despite her teleportation abilities. We can only imagine what Citrene and her are capable of as a team.

• Still Human: Unlike some of her fellows like Alter and Hannibal, she is just as vulnerable to injury as any agent and a shot to the head or heart can prove fatal. Even with teleportation, if aimed just right her death would be instant and she'd have no time to seek aid.

• Mass Limit: Even at her peak, the subject has explained to us that it'd be difficult to transport unwilling living object to another location and she could do little more than exchange places with them (within line of sight) or push them back the same distance. Beyond this, even inanimate objects can only go so large as a full sized couch before she strains herself too much. This limits her ability to not throwing cars, teleporting buildings, or throwing large chunks of land at people.

History

Born an orphan, Eidyia has lived most of her childhood bouncing from foster home to another, causing a distrust within most others as well as a need for companionship. Even today with her quiet confidence, she has expressed her want a few times among the staff, though we have not allowed such to happen. Being homosexual made it both hard in the past for her to connect on this level and easy for us to justify her dental within our care. She has a record of having been involved in gangs only out of need and has stolen, assaulted, and lied her way within the organization - just enough to stay high enough to be trusted and mostly left to be, though in her younger years she had to claw her away through men trying to use her.

By the time we started to trail her, she had been put into a corner by a fellow gang member and rumors were circulating about her execution - her leaders had been lead to believe she wanted to betray them. By the age of 18, we approached her and offered her a place. She jumped at the opportunity especially after the explanation of those backstabbing her. He convinced her that she had no choice but to take our care for her services or face death. Since then, and since her injection, she has become somewhat of a chilling assassin and supporter to missions. Though at times it doesn't seem like she is quiet as unaffected as some of the others, she has very little (if any) hesitation in carrying out assignments. So much so that sometimes I feel like Dr. Lapis has a special place for her, though that is extremely hard to tell with the Doctor's monotone and logical approach to our goals.

After being broken out of her cell by her fellows, she played an important part in hacking the systems of Obsidian (alongside Alter) and making it possible to finally reach Dr. Lapis and the other founders of the organization. After their defeat and eventual freedom of all the Operatives, Eidyia made it her one singular goal to find way to rid herself of the Kill Switch. She used her teleportation and aptitude to seek, steal, bribe, and bully her way into technologies and research that could extract the nano-bots from her blood and eventually destroy them after gaining knowledge of their workings. It took roughly a year, of consistent, day after day, searching to do so. Since then, she has wondered the world in search of meaning, trying to find her place in the world. Something snapped in her, something from when she was young, and after seeing years and years of death and evil ... she has decided to try her hand at stopping it - by any means necessary. Some have called her a hero for it while others deepen their belief in her terrorism and she has done anything from knocking a robber out to killing prostitute ring leaders. Due to her powers, she has kept herself hidden in a cave with everything she needs, making it extremely hard for government officials and crime lords alike to track her down.

Other: (OOC note, I decided to do this sheet from a recruiter and caretaker's point of view. The only way to add history beyond the breakout was to do it in a OOC way, mostly for the benefit of the GMs and fellow players. I still wanted to keep the feeling of a data file though. Hope that's okay.)

I'll save my judgement for when the sheet is up, but anyone who feels the need to call their character's ability legendary is somewhat alarming to me. Normally I'm not this way, but I haven't seen your writing style or any of that yet. Excuse my hesitance on trusting you.

I'm always fair with my characters, but originally she was approved under the impression that she had a talent for grasping her abilities quickly so it's really not a leap to say that she's an expert with them (not a master, I still want room for growth). Her abilities and her use of them make her legendary in the sense that everyone that knows of this side of the world on a more personal level (like government officials, other operative4s, etc) are very aware of her existence and that she can be dangerous. She won't be any more dangerous than the super lizard that was submitted, lol... about on par, though in a completely different way.

Planning on modifying my original version of Shadow... I think it's safe to say that I'm making her a bit more legendary and powerful, because it only makes sense. ^.^
