Personality: Lieq is adventurous only because she doesn't know where she is headed in life. She is social, but not as much as you'd expect her type to be, since Yaule (cat people) tend to be extremely friendly and personable. Instead, Lieq tends to keep herself emotionally guarded and distant from others, but still has a kind and gentle heart.

Nettala had never really been good with children, which seemed a tad odd since kids always seemed to like her, crawling all over whenever she gave them the chance. She didn't understand it, but in the back of her mind, she was glad that her presence had given the little girl some sense of comfort. Anna was her name and she was silently snuggled up next to the ranger as they sat on the porch of an outlying cabin. It had belonged to Anna's father, giving a beautiful view of the forest and the castle walls, reflecting a certain beauty in the mixture of civilization and nature.

Netta ran it through her mind more than a dozen times and at the end of each day, she just didn't get it. He had seemed like such a friendly sort and who honestly kills a man to leave his daughter alone? His wife had passed away about a year ago and now Anna was dealing with both parents dead. The ranger corp was generally thought of as a close-knit family and even if Nettala didn't fit into it so well, they all took it upon themselves to raise the little girl. It had been Netta's turn this week.

They both continued to sit in complete silence. The ranger's elbows rested on her knees, using her palms to help support her chin as she stared into the horizon. Anna's small head gently resting against the ranger's side. Anna was so quiet since her father's passing that she in fact hadn't said a single word since. She didn't shed a tear, cry out in anger, or acted out - just kept quiet and to herself. Maybe that's why Anna seemed to like Nettala the most - they shared those traits in common.

The current state of affairs didn't help either, but it wasn't like the ranger could make much sense of it. Besides the plague - which she wasn't a healer - all the politics of the nobles went right over her head. She just wanted to help people and she enjoyed her walks within the forests and creeks. Perhaps she was simpler than most who had opinions about nobles, kings, and queens, but in truth Nettala had always been an idealist - wanted to help people because it was the right thing to do.

Heheh... it's fine. ^.^ Stuff like that happen in real life. Maybe Nettala will get through to her at some point - who knows. Anyways, sorry for the slow reply... after you went to bed, wifey came home, talked about some 'stuff' (^.-), then I took the kitty to the bedroom and watched Law & Order. We're about to eat dinner soon... and I should start working on it after!~

Hm!~ Yeah, I have no problem with the scenario - it does fit and it's cool that you want to stay away from describing the scene. I like the idea of her intervening - my idea was that Nettala's best strength is her ability to track and spot things, so maybe she glimpses Olivia just the moment before she shoots her pistol or dives in front if she uses her blade and saves the girl... then runs after Olivia and since her tracking is so good, it becomes really hard to shake her and that's probably why Olivia would turn around eventually and have a stand off. ^.^

I'll try and come up with a post sometime today for you then!~ Setting up where the girl is and where Nettala is at the moment. Might take a little though... um... a bit flustered by something personal, so... :p Nothing bad however... and my stomach is growling at me. o.o But it'll definitely be posted today (for me, so possibly morning for you later).

Guess not, haha... ^-^ Had a couple questions... well, mostly about the girl Olivia has to kill. Is that an actual girl or are we talking about Nettala? :p Either way, I had figured the rangers have camps outside the city since they are usually ran as a division meant for outside threats. Mostly bandits and wild/feral animals though and I'd say they're quite mysterious in how they deal with their problems - mostly in the sense that there are rumors that some of them can calm even a raging bear with a touch. :p

Anyways, I think once I understand where you imaged the target to be and who she would be, I can try and get Nettala in that direction - though them having the stand-off in the wilds somewhere might be best, so no one sees the Outsider. :p

Personality: Nettala generally keeps to herself due to past experiences. She still manages to be social with the other rangers, but doesn't complain when they leave her to do their own hobbies or spend time with one another, making her a bit of a black sheep. She is never-the-less friendly and dislikes it when others are mean, often trying to step in when she feels she can make a difference.
