No, no need to be sorry. ^.^ Mostly ... I have this idea of using supernatural combat which is;

"Users possess immense combat skills, both offensive and defensive, which may be innate, honed or both.

This encompasses speed, strength, precision, reflexes, technique, analysis, control, adaptation and all aspects of practical fighting. Depending on the users, they may be specialized on specific types of weaponry (melee, ranged, natural, etc.), and invariably wield them with surreal efficiency. Most observers are simply incapable to understand what's happening, only a user being able to gauge the skill of another."

Now given, she probably wouldn't be on this level yet, but much more noticeably better at martial combat. Weakness would be the lack of using ranged or targeted based magic. The question I asked was because I'm wondering if my character needs to know techniques first or whether her magic might grant her supernatural knowledge into combat.

I might be interested ... a couple questions; are there other races besides humans (doubt it, but might as well ask)? And second, can there be knowledge based magic? Just curious. ^.^

Iydyn D: Don't talk like that. Panda's right though, there seriously wasn't a singe bad CS out here. I really enjoyed all the creativity of this bunch. I'm sure you could even toss in the same character (with different race/traits) in another interesting RP anyway and definitely snag some positive results! If I find the right role-play... so hard to find good role-plays for me. I appreciate you liking my CS, but just a downer that I've never gotten into a competition RP. It's not very encouraging, lol... guess I'll lurk around for another few weeks until something else catches my eye.

So yeah ... Selina doesn't exactly want to be ruler, but there are two notes to this - first, she's willing to do anything she can while away to help and second, she was never second in line anyways. Her brother was the heir, which gave her confidence to leave.

And yes... more CSs make me nervous. I've never made it into a competition-type application...

Sorry! Tried for something else, especially making a new recruit... but I always make females, lol. Makes sense, given I am one. :p Of course, the effort could be for naught, but ... *crosses fingers*

P.S. I don't think Selina will complain about more females... :p

Selina Moonhold

Age: 28
Gender: Female

Race: Lunar Elf - this subspecies of Elvenkind is a rare sight outside their homeland of the Moon Isle, making it hard to come by real information and more easily come across myths and legends concerning their people. Regardless, the facts are that they possess a more moonlight appearance such as marble-like skin and silver-white hair matched with an icey blue stare, though they have been known to have more purpleish skin or hair as well and red eyes. There’s only one difference besides their appearance that sets these elves apart and it’s their affinity towards martial combat instead of magical arts. Many have come to call their combat abilities as supernatural and in the case of some of the masters of their kind - godly combatants. They seem to hold a sixth sense that heightens their reactions and reflexes and an innate talent for understanding martial combat on a subtle and complex level. Most creatures consider them the height of the martial combatants.

Job/Skills: Like most of her kind, she focuses on martial combat being her greatest strength and knowledge. She seems to possess a unique twist than most though and while sacrificing hard blows and endurance, she has a keen accuracy and ability to dodge blows - even from some magical spells. Besides this, she has a general nic-knack knowledge of various topics, but is honestly dependent on others for their skills outside of combat right now.

Items: Her armor is mostly ceremonial, but provides decent protection against blades and offers extreme flexibility. More to note though is her royal blade which has been enchanted to resist wear, rust, and tension as well the ability to cut away minor and weak magical barriers.

Personality: Selina may not be what you expect from a princess. She is laid back and easy going, but also holds a keen and attentive mind, making her the type to think of something and act on it. She may be less of a dreamer, but if she is tasked to do something or gives herself a goal, she becomes a focused and determined individual. Selina also has a high moral center when it comes to right and wrong and her actions often reflect this, refusing to do little things even like white lies unless she feels an absolute need. Behind her outer shell though, she is a lonely, hopeless romantic - for good reasons.

Years in the Peacekeepers: New Recruit

Why you joined: Simply, she wanted to help people and the best way to do that was using her martial prowess against those who wish harm. She was lead this way due to some royal contacts the crown held even in it’s isolation.

Personal Arc: She left her kingdom for adventure and heroics, but she didn’t realize that behind her brother’s friendly mask was that of a tyrant. This would consist of being summoned/taking a visit back and coming to a realization that her kingdom is preparing for war on humankind because of her brother’s arrogance as the new king.

Very excited and very hopeful about joining this. Already came up with this story line... just need the right portrait.
