Unique tech is basically anything your ship boasts that's of particular interest/unique to your craft in its own universe. So with an Aurora class, your main thing is the Drones.

In terms of my sheet, I'm going to wait to see what some other people come up with. I have two ideas in my head, but it'll depend on what niche I feel needs filled within the group.

- 2✕ VX-12 Foehammer Turreted Ultra-Heavy Railguns (Used in CQC, but I have to note that the Expanse does distance in space battles better than most others. SO what they consider CQC is easily the average engagement distance in Stargate or Starwars. At least from what I've seen...)
- 6✕ Forward Torpedo Launchers (variable loadout, high-explosive (HE), plasma, flechette, and nuclear warheads. Flechette explode before impact, acting as an oversized fragmentation grenade)
- 8✕ Aft Torpedo Launchers (variable loadout)
- 59✕ Nariman Dynamics 40mm Point Defense Cannons (guided by a computer and equipped with advanced cooling systems. Retractable and moved along/rotate around the hull)
- 2✕ Vacant hardpoints (Designed to house additional VX-12 Foehammer Railguns on future models or naval experiments)
- In regard to the hardpoints, I'm going to ask if I can add the two additional railguns to them. The reason that this could be explained is a new method of cooling was brought to the ship, enabling it to handle the additional load.
- 6 Corvette-class frigates
- Chariot-type dropship, MCRN version Much smaller than the frigates, I'd assume a dozen could be carried. They could also act as fighters, but wouldn't be very maneuverable. It is not stated how many could be carried.
- Repair skiffs Could probably hold a dozen easily as they're quite small. Again,
it is not officially stated.

History of the Ship: The ship is the 12th of its line and named after Solomon Epstein, the creator of the Epstein drive and the unfortunate victim of it as well. The Solomon's paint is still fresh as it came out of the shipyards weeks ago. Along for the ride is a completely fresh crew out of the MCRN Naval Academy. The ship itself doesn't have much of a history. It has only acted in anger once, having stopped a small group of pirates operating near an MCRN shipping lane. The fight was short, with the Solomon deploying its complement of frigates and railguns/torpedoes. The Solomon finished by deploying several dropships to an asteroid, where marines, accompanied by force recon in powered armor, killed the rest of the pirates hiding in an installation in the aforementioned asteroid. The soldiers found a device with planned pirate operations, which earned them applause from MCRN command.

All of the Solomon's plans stopped when, during a burn to a suspected pirate ambush site, the Solomon encountered a bright flash and then complete darkness.

There's not a lot of information about specific Forerunner ship classes, even having read the books and been through the guides. You'd have to make some stuff up if you were to RP a Forerunner vessel. Could easily be done though, you'd just have to be careful about estimating everything.

The Extinction Cycle

Name: Kyle
Age: 24
Appearance: Kyle is a handsome man with short brown hair. He has a short, well-kept beard and green eyes. He stands at 6'2" and has a lean, muscular build. At the start of the RP he will be wearing grey and black Fjallraven pants he found on the body of a prepper and a grey T-shirt. He wears a holster on his right hip and a knife holster on his left hip.
Brief History: Kyle is from Flagstaff, Arizona where he worked as a warehouse manager. He was on his way to San Diego to meet some friends from college. However, as he was on his way to the beach, the hemorrhage virus hit San Diego. People were not even able to evacuate, as the city fell in minutes.
Equipment: Kyle has a tan tactical backpack he pulled off a dead soldier, a dark earth Sig Sauer P226 he brought with him from Arizona and some MRE's and iodine purification pills. He has three 20 count 9mm magazines for the handgun, which has a green laser mounted on the bottom of it. Inside the backpack, he also has a trauma kit, two changes of clothes, a box of 50 hollow point 9mm bullets, and a canteen. Kyle carries a Ka-Bar BK-22 knife as well.

*This thread is based on the Extinction series by Nicholas Sansbury Smith. The RP will not follow the original story and knowledge of the books is NOT necessary.

The story is based on a biological weapon, X9H9 or the hemorrhage virus, being released to the world. The virus spreads to 85% of the world within weeks. The virus itself is a mixture of Ebola and VX99, a drug meant to create super soldiers. The VX99 turns people into animals: People's mouths become oval shaped suckers with protruding lips; eyes become yellow with narrow slits; joints begin to bend in ways they shouldn't.

The story will be after Dr. Kate Lovato releases a bioweapon to kill most of the infected in an operation called Operation Depletion. However, 10% of the infected survive, leaving behind smarter and stronger monsters. The remaining infected become known as variants. Variants can die like any human, except they are faster, stronger, and have better senses than humans.

The start of our journey begins in San Diego, California at the beginning of summer. Our story can have any type of person in it, from accountant to soldier. Please do note that to survive your character needs to have some similarity with guns or knives because variants are extremely dangerous creatures.

Low Fantasy RP - Payle

I am going to be closing this RP (keeping it open for OOC). I may remake it this weekend or sometime into next weekend. Alternatively, I may make a Hell Divers RP based on the books.

However, there is a chance I find another thread to get back into RPing before I go any further!

Edit: The reason I stopped posting is because life got busy and RPing wasn't on my mind. Now I have more free time without work and uni.
