the worst beer
the best beer (partly because I don't have to drink five to get a buzz -- but it's fucking good despite the high content)
the best for your money (any Sam Adams seasonal brew will do -- they're made well and taste great without breaking your bank. That Chimay runs you about $5 per bottle)
FOR THE BEST BEER EXPERIENCE, visit your local brewery (you have one) and get a flight or two. Learn what you like by trying all kinds of handmade varieties, and then dial in your future selections until you've found your niche. My mother drinks a weizenbock shandy, I like a variety (but generally dark, and I have a tongue for distinctive flavors like coffee or blueberry (yes, there's such a thing as blueberry beer)). Of course you'll drink a chile beer or two, but sooner or later you learn what to look for.
