so what I'm seeing is, Robben is already juking left and trying to jump past this defender, whose late challenge catches him right on the tip of the foot. Feeling the contact, Robben goes ballistic, flails everything, howls in pain, falls on his face. Very, very, *very* obvious exaggeration at the least. I'm not fully convinced this would've even taken him off his feet, if he'd had any intention of continuing the play. He was clearly looking for the penalty, and he got it. So who sucks? That Mexico defender! Why would you give Robben a chance to sell this? You can't give the ref a chance to decide the game.

He wasn't six feet from the box in stoppage time for the win at those points. It's a flop situation. You're supposed to flop. And he did. The human body doesn't do that when it's touched on the toe, okay? It was a flop. One that he *should* have attempted, and did, and I'm not criticizing him for it, that's what good players do. It just blows for Mexico to lose on that kind of play.

It was totally a bullshit call, the trouble is, Mexico walked right into it. *Everybody flops in that situation*. Everybody. Stepping into him and making it a close call was just a panic-button response, and you're always gonna lose one or two of those.
