That is beyond weird. Can't watch it all ATM. Anyway apparently the way it works is I take a few weeks to heal/shrink before we really start talking prosthetics. For now I get to roll around and creep people out with only one shoe.

But just to prove what a boss I am, I've already checked out if the hospital. Definitely need to pace myself a bit but this is all going ludicrously smooth. It was fun to roll around the inpatient rooms and see guys with like, a broken toe, begging for more painkillers. Me and my fat nurse were laughing at everybody. It was great.

How you feeling after your operation? I imagine it must be pretty weird seeing a stump instead of a leg, even if you were ready for it.

The cool (?) thing is, this leg was fucked up for so long already that it wasn't so much of a shock. I've been using a gigantic leg brace and ace wraps and shit for long enough that it was honestly weirder to see my normal leg; so now that there's a stump instead, it happens to line up *pretty* close to where my brace started, and it's actually not weird to look at for me. The strangest thing is definitely moving it -- since the residual limb weighs basically nothing at all, it's like zero-g or something. I've also got a little bit of phantom-sensation going on, which is pretty surreal.
