There was something up with my theater's sound too (or maybe just with the movie I guess). The treble range felt *brutal*, and straight-up hurt my ears at some points. Not in like an intensity-boosting kind of way, just like screechy bad digital sound. I want to believe that it's just my theater that sucks.

It's hard to describe. I was kind of expecting it to be like a visual feast sorta movie, like 'Gravity.' And sure, there were some amazing visuals involved (black hole horizon was nuts, frozen clouds, assorted special effects) but that just wasn't 'the point' of the movie. It was emotional and scientific and everything in between.... Very unique. I guess you could think of it like 'Inception,' except that Inception was all conceptual and Interstellar was practically a science book (relativity plays a massive role).

my movie-buff brother is trying to decide where to put it on his top-5 list. Idunno about all that. But it was pretty good.

I love everything about that.
