Current The moment you realize you spend more time working in titanpads than... anything else. Not sure if I should be proud or concerned.

Spells in the Dark (18+ For dark and suggestive themes: Join the witches or the hunters and they circle each other in a bleak world on the edge of annhilation. Can they come together long enough to hold back the great dark? Or will they fall to the void?

Stuff I'm in

Wolves of Redlake: A lovely little romp as a teenage werewolf. Run by the lovely @Nallore
Various 1x1's: I love the flexibility of a two person story. Group RPs will always have my heart, but they can be difficult to get off the ground. Feel free to PM me with any ideas you may have. I generally post once per week minimum and like high-casual to advanced as far as quality is concerned.

The Rest!

Hi! I'm a twenty five year old lesbian with alot of time on her hands! I've been role playing for about ten years now, although I'm new to the play by post format. I'm a pathfinder and Chronicles of Darkness veteran and still play with my group most weekends.

I'm generally pretty easy to get along with. My biggest pet peeves are:

Not informing me if you'll be away for an extended period of time. A PM or something in the OOC will do nicely. I understand life kicks all of us once in awhile, but try not to leave me hanging.

Negative people. We all get down, and that's fine. Happiness, however, is an outlook. I don't mind spending time cheering up a friend when they're usually a cheerful person. Optimism is a hell of a thing folks.

Metagaming. For obvious reasons. This has been the downfall of many a fun 'secret' plot. I usually opt for transparency, and like to surprise characters more than players. Metagaming makes that difficult.

Things I'll love you for:

Enthusiasm! This is the driving force behind any RP. When players and the GM are excited magical things can happen.

Adding to the world. I like a fleshed out world. Often times I'll leave things ambiguous so players can add to it with backstory or anything really.

Hatching your own subplot. The 'main' plot isn't the only thing going on right? Write me a story about some characters getting into hijinks. It gives the RP an organic feel that can't really be replicated otherwise.

Medusa & Taran

Alexina left him in a large stone room on the ground floor of the castle, with a small window that showed a grassy clearning that turned into the forest. There were two beds and other furnature that made the whole thing seem a lot more homely and less...castelly. Taran didn't have much to put in the room, so even after he had unpacked all of his belongings, there wasn't much change in the room. But, he still felt very content, the euphoric feeling of the vow still running through his veins when he finally fell alseep that night.

It all came crashing down when he awoke to the smell of smoke in his room. Some how he had manged to set his blanket on fire. Taran immediately lept out of bed, trying to smother the blanket fire in itself. After the fire was put out, his adrenaline was rushing through him far too much to allow him to even think of sleep. Besides, now he was starting fire in his sleep, that did not make sleep a tempting option to say the least.

Instead of waiting around his room for morning, he decided to get up and wander about his new home. Despite it being well before dawn, the castle still seemed wide awake, with fires roaring in every fireplace and candles and torches fighting away the dark gloom of the hallways. He didn't run onto anyone however. He did find the kitchen and variouse other rooms that held an assortment of tools he couldn't even begin to describe or name. Finally he came to a library.

Taran had never known that there were that many books in the whole world and never in a single room, no matter the size. His village rarely was lucky enough to come across books to sale or to borrow and his parents only had religious books. Even those got dull after a while.

Taran didn't dare to take any of the tomes off of their selves, but his did run his finger across the titles, he could read some of them, but most seemed to be written in an unfamilar tongue.

"Dragon's tongue." Medusa suddenly spoke from behind Taran. "Lorelai's addition to the collection. They detail Demon Lords, something I doubt you're prepared for."

Taran jumped nearly a foot off the ground when Medusa spoke, he hadn't known anyone was in the room but himself. "D-dragon tongue Ma'am?" he said before he could stop himself. "I-I mean, sorry, I didn't mean to intrude...I just, couldn't sleep,"

"Not to worry Taran, I could use a diversion anyway." Medusa smiled and moved next to him facing the shelf. Her fingers traced the spines of some leather bound volumes fondly. "Dragon's Tongue is the language of demons, the Von'Strauss gift."

She sighed. "Enough about that though. What's troubling you?"

Taran understood less than half the words that Medusa spoke. But, he figured that if it was important, it would be explained to him at a later time. "Well," he said, shifting slightly. "I sort of... Set my blanket on fire while I ...slept. That's never happened before,"

"I see." Medusa suppressed a small laugh. It may have been cruel, but the thought of the boy leaping out of his flaming bed in the middle of the night was unfortunately amusing. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"Do you have any suggestions on how to get it to stop?" He asked " I can't help but feel like the lack of sleep will lead to you having a problem with a sleepwalking ball of flame,"

"Well I wouldn't want that." She smiled and walked over to a different section of the library. "You've spent alot of time running from what you are, from what you can do."

Medusa pulled a small book from a shelf. "Pyromancy has a long history, and we hardly have the largest collection, but some powerful witches had your talent." She handed him the volume. "How can you hope to control a part of you that you can't even accept?"

Taran took the book that was offered. "I didn't know that what I could do could fill even one book," he said, flipping through the pages. There were a lot of complex diagrams and equations that made his head hurt just looking at them. "For the longest time, I had no idea that I could even do magic... I mostly just...hoped that I was crazy," he glanced down. "Did you always know you were a...a... Witch?"

"Yes, but I was fortunate. The Elders spoke to me when I was little, and imparted an understanding of what I was, and what I would become." She patted Taran's shoulder. "But not many are so lucky, and many squander their talents. Do not think you are lesser because of your ignorance, but think instead that you needs simply to catch up."

"Perform this for me, and I'll take you as an apprentice if you'd like." She moved towards the door of the library. "Go into the forest, and find that piece of yourself you've been hiding, speak to it. Not with words, but with your will. Make it a part of you, feel it's desire to make you whole. Whole, and powerful."

"Once that is done, I think you'll have little difficulty with control, and will be well on your way to true witchdom." With a final smile she left, leaving Taran to his thoughts.

"If...if that is what it takes Mistress, then I do it gladly, although I won't pretend I am not... Afraid," he said, biting his lip before watching her go. I can do this knowing in his heart, that the fear was not from danger he might encounter in the woods, the castle would keep him physically safe.

~mystic spirit animal journey ~

By the time Taran returned to the castle, the sun was well past noon. It was even later when he found Medusa in tHr library once again.

"Mistress," he said, bowing slightly. His voice was significantly more steady and his posture showed h wAs more sure of himself "I think, no, I know I am ready to continue my training under you ,"

Medusa smiled, pleased. "Yes, you are. It will not be easy." She had a small stack of books on basic magics waiting for Taran by the time he arrived back. "You are to read these, and perform a small spell from each discipline."

"We'll meet here every other day, and I'll answer any questions you may have." She looked at him, her eyes hard. "Your power is expressed in it's rawest form through destruction. Enemies haunt our woods and lands. I want you, as a testament to your cunning and power, to convince Alexina or Lorelai to take you along as she scours them from our home."

"Do you think you can complete these tasks?" She asked bluntly.

"I will not fail you Mistress, no matter what it takes,"
@Anima *Looks down* "My bad..."
@Meiyuki She'll brawl down for sure ;)!

She didn't choose the thug life...she just gets pissed easy...
@Narcotic Dollie You can count on Alyssa for several fights at least.
Alyssa set about disabling the glyph. Generally traps like that were keyed to either pressure or the touch of the living, the acid provided the trigger neither. She carefully dissolved a portion of the symbol to ensure that the magical energies could no longer achieve their intended output.

Gazing around she did notice the statue with dried blood on it's blade. Temple raiding and the like made you suspicious of statues of all kinds, she cast a detect magic spell and examined the rest of the statues in the room. Once satisfied she'd identified and marked any and all danger in the room she whispered to Bernard "Send 'em up."

Then she looked for the door to the next room in order to continue her investigation.
@Ellion Primarily the fact that the woods are appearantly full of asshole vamps and werewolves. Oh and hunters of course.
Things to do for witches: Mess around, always an option.
Hunt vampires, drag me into a collab as needed.
Investigate Seren's Folley for hunter activity, contact @Aerandir as needed.
Gathering reagents, always useful.
Ask Lorelai or Medusa for assitance with whatever. They're around.
Whatever else you can come up with.

Canon timeline for the witches is currently the next day for Laina and Genoveve, who are free to wake up and go about whatever they'd like.
I'm waiting on some witch posts to see what characters are interested in what before moving the plot along. If you are wanting for inspiration and would like to talk to me about some ideas my PM box is open.

I can't exactly move plot along without you guys. I would appreciate some timely posts if possible.

Thank you, and sorry for being a little pushy.
@Nallore By the way, can we communicate with each other in wolfy form? And do we all need to be in wolf form to understand? Or can say Alyssa be furry while Riley's fleshy and they can still carry on a conversation?
@EWillden Nope she doesn't, but like I said she'll be following behind it. So I'm sure she'll spot the poor orc soon enough.
@EWillden You can assume if Alyssa's scouting and checking for traps that she sends her illusion in first then follows on the ceiling invisible.
