Oh no, you shall be forced to think outside the box...or hit where the armor is not... That is terrible.

Dude that armour is like T7-8 (maybe earlier was a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much) at least. Look at the advancement humanity has made in armour construction, we've gone from a plate of mail to a Kevlar vest, which is more than five times as effective. That took like 1000 fucking years, imagine how far ahead technology is that's 50x Kevlar.

I tell you what, if we actually get a full fight in one day without life deciding to fuck with me, and you win - I'll make a win nod video for you.

Haha! Now I have a legitimate reason to really -really- fight at my best, no more speed posting when I'm feeling tired and lazy (which is incidentally where every mistake I make tends to come from, you can tell from the length of the posts in our recent fight, which sadly died too soon, that I was really concentrating, heh.)
Once you ladies are all satisfied with each other's characters underwear

Well do you have any remarks on the super armour? I can deal with the huge abundance of other abilities, but armour that's effectively resistant to every sort of stabbing or cutting attack I can launch is going to be irritating.

I'd probably manoeuvre Anna away from him and send Kanitah's Daughter in instead, she'd probably punch the shit out of him fairly nicely.

By that I mean you managing to get a medium into your opponent and thus effecting them through that. Like contaminating their blood for example. Kind of like what Rilla mentioned. So when is this going to start @Rilla?

That's exactly what blood bending is though, you just seize control of their blood with your spells or supernatural powers.

Anyway, my character couldn't 'poison' someone with her water for example, as one of the weaknesses she works under is being unable to separate the water she is manipulating from her 'direct' spiritual connection to it, which would be required if it was inside someone's body.

Dunno what you're quoting, but holy only applies to the big G, which is my pet name for the Christian God, you can tell because it's a capitalised G. It's the difference between a god -of something- and The God, of everything. The only exception for me being a god specifically tuned towards life, because life fights unlife so to speak.

It's confusing, but it makes sense in my own head, so that's all that matters. It's ultimately up to me if your abstract magic gets to be super effective against my character.
I think the idea of supernatural forces possessing people is a fairly common fantasy trope, especially in regards to the element of the spirit or the way in which the person dies being a part of the finished products abilities.

Blood bending is almost definitely against the rules, it is almost completely unavoidable, far too specific and niche a defence is required to protect yourself from it.

Divine literally means 'having the nature of a deity' that's WAYYYYYY too general to be specifically powerful against a Wraith, where-as Holy is linked to spiritualism and combating 'evil' and essentially linked to the idea of 'God' in a Christian sense, who is the historical enemy of the Undead (Vampires being the spawn of Satan) and Demons (obvious) therefore I like to make sure my opponent has abilities bestowed upon them by a god of this sort before I accept it as -extra- powerful. If your powers come from a god of light for example then by all accounts they are 'holy' and deserve the bonus, if they use 'holy water' or some such its the same concept.

Honestly, I'm not sure why Holy Magic specifically is so under-used in Arena, I seem to be one of the only people who has recognised half the people you fight are evil spirits or undead or demon-vampire-werepoofs. Judgement and my Priest character and even Isaac the freaking Ghoul has anti-evil weaponry and spells.

If you won more in life, you'd already know what the win nod looked like. :P

People in Britain resent others for their victory, so I only know what the defeat scowl looks like on other people.
He was 'round 4 hours ago.

But alright, 5:30 my time tomorrow, and you can go ahead and auto-connect with your post.

Couple days after that, you'll get the win nod.

Can you actually make a video of you nodding so I can see what the win nod looks like? I feel like I need that validation in my life.

You lack imagination if you can't see how water reaching/breaching could mess up someone who uses a liquid to move and fight.

'Blood Bending' isn't allowed in Arena, it would fall under direct character manipulation.

That would be ridiculously OP, my character could seize control of the water in an opponent's body and drown them from the inside within a twenty foot radius if such a thing was allowed, which is why it isn't.
What's the situation here, fellas?

Dunno, provided you're still judging that's fine, I'll give IN until this time tomorrow to say something, might be busy or something.
Whether you see the argument is beside the point.

The point here is, does not an equal prepped defense defeat an equal prepped attack.

Anyway, I don't much care either way, if it makes you happy, I'll just give drowned child defensive capabilities similar to the Field Emitter. (Just in the shape of single directional shield/ward, but still needed the shame restrictions for use)

So it wont be specifying water now. Even though that would technically make it more flexible, seeing as before it did not block the kinetic energy within an water based attack, or any debris that would have been in it.

Oddly, The fire shields, and sonic wards were never talked about.

Having a resistance to fire and to a lesser extent sound are realistic defences for an undead, water and ice are pretty much the shittiest abilities to use on your standard undead. You're already immune to drowning and you can hardly freeze to death, so I don't really understand what you mean by 'it did not block the kinetic energy' that's ultimately all water attacks are in the majority of fantasy.

A lot of characters have resistances to fire, I don't think I can think of a single one with resistance to water that isn't a water based character, so it felt awfully convenient to me.
