“Well this has to be the dumbest confrontation of my life.” Higan muttered, as the Mech began to stride forward petulantly. Apparently the creature had gone to ground, or lurked on the back of his Mech ineffectually. There was no way he was going to find it with half his Optics broken, not to mention bullets seemed to the only way of hurting it and his weapons were dependant on the Computers. What a pain in the ass, he wanted the glory of killing it himself but it looked like the Republic were just going to have to Dirty Bomb the planet like they did with the last two. Higan sighed mournfully, it was hard trying to save a planet from annihilation. The Mech strode through bones and skeletal remains, still on the lookout but only half hopeful. With what remained of his sight Higan could easily make out the cave entrance, marked in a pale grey outline distinct from the solid walls on either side.

The Mech trudged onwards for perhaps five or six seconds before it reached the entrance to the Pater’s lair. There wasn’t much he could do if his enemy refused to fight him, so it was time to leave. With a half-hearted effort before exiting the cavern the Mech’s right arm lifted backwards behind its own back, still clutching the Rifle. The hand twisted the barrel downwards and then across as the arm lifted as far it could go, effectively scouring the back of the Mech with the metallic pole up to its hips, while the chain-gun blasted off one last effort. Once satisfied the creature wasn’t sitting on his back he’d step through the entrance.
Whatever, it's literally the most abysmal thing I've ever seen any Arena fighter do in three years, to the point of being almost hilarious. The fact that you hadn't even agreed to it before Doc decided to enact this master plan just makes it even funnier. However, Doc can have all the crutches he needs, it makes no odds to me now I've decided to just end him. I'm not treating this fight like a story fight any more though.
Also read carefully, I'm waiting on you. I'm happy to kill you blind, it means I don't have to hold back anymore for fear the fight is unfair, going to be fun wiping the floor with you.
@MelonHead

Uhh, because it sensed the lens wasn't in a million pieces? If you're quite done vainly trying to turn the tables on me, perhaps we can get back to the roleplay. I know bickering comes second nature to you, and for the first half dozen whining intermissions, things were still tolerable. Now its starting to get stale.

I'm here to fight a robot, not a grandma.

Classic deflection tactic, don't insult your opponent by changing the rules half-way through a fight and deciding they can't be trusted not to meta game in future, massive dick move.

But don't worry Doc, you keep on with your precautions to stop me Meta-gaming, I won't complain, why would I, I've let you get away with this much bullshit already to balance the fight out.
To be honest I'm still astounded how much the Pater knows about Ramor technology, being aware it can't hear, can't feel, knowing that there must be someone inside looking out through the tiny glass on the top, the Pater is a genius indeed Doc, a genius in fucking deed. Hell, the way it was able to detect the Mech at all with Echolocation through an entire forest of obstructing objects, fucking amazing, and the way it knew about the Optics despite never being in a position where sound could have bounced off it to reveal it was different at all.

I'm constantly amazed by your character's intuition, truly startling.

I shouldn't have to, we don't fight under the pretence that we can hide anything we don't think the enemy should know.

Got a question for you, as you're so sanctimonious. When the Pater first attacked the Optics, it dived through the Mech's arms and was grappled. Somehow, it knew it hadn't done enough damage to the Optics and turned back around to attack it again. How did it know?

I think you should evaluate some of your own actions before you throw out accusations of meta-gaming, I could say much the same about you.

In fact, the most hilarious thing was that the explanation for that dodge was the Pater somehow realising it hadn't done as much damage as it thought and retreating to do some more, before it could even know. Sometimes you crack me up Doc, absolutely fucking hilarious.
@MelonHead
I'm done with having Higan constantly "guess" where the Magna Pater is. All I can say is that he can't see what he can't see, so it will be a threat from outside of his newly limited vision. You can ask @Drifting Pollen yourself if my secret moves are fair or not, but you'll not be getting any hints. You need to be in the dark as much as Higan is to keep things on the straight and narrow. But seriously, no more of this convenient instinctual stuff unless it turns out that Higan really is damn good at looking in the right direction at the right time.

And Slimy's autocannibalism is about as fair as Higan's anomoly vision and grip sensors. At least I had provided a link to the thread where it used its selective autocannibalism before, back on the first page, rather than simply invent it out of the blue.

Actually if that's all it takes to make an ability legit I can post Higan's first fight where he uses both of those things.

Yes, what about what Higan can hear or feel or see with the strip of vision he still retains? You better provide every single relevant piece of information or I'm calling you out on your bullshit.

Also, if you had asked I could have easily provided why Higan turned rightward, because his only available weaponry is on that side of his Mech and the strip of vision he has is also on that side. Why turn leftward if you're completely blind on that side and have no weaponry?

Still, I like this blatantly obvious accusation of meta-gaming. Clearly my every intent is to win this fight at all costs, hence why I've been giving you complete freebies this entire fight despite warning you before-hand your character was outclassed, I was well within my rights to just play properly and ruin you.
You know, self-cannibalism healing is never mentioned in your sheet, which is a pretty serious oversight. There's nothing in your sheet to suggest targeted regeneration, so presumably if it ate its own wings they may just heal back again.
I should point out that's not the form of fighting we're working on, what exactly do I have to work with if I know literally nothing about what your character is doing? My character does still have his senses you know.
