:.People Say.:
Fen is sort of a strange fellow. He's pretty friendly with strangers, and makes a good first impression, but the longer you know him, the more of his quirks you notice. Your first impression of him may be a meek and awkward man; he's terrible at speaking with people he doesn't know. He's kind of naive and a bit childlike, which may be why he's so good with the kids. You may not notice it at first, but every now and then, you'll see him curl his lip in a snarl at someone he doesn't like. He's not afraid to bite and claw during a fight. He'll have playful bouts where he wants to wrestle and spar. It takes a little getting used to, but he's a good guy at heart.

:.What You See.:
Fen is 5'9" with lean muscles. His hair is long and mousy brown. Fen has pale skin and light brownish-gold eyes. He often lefts his facial hair go for a while before shaving or trimming it. As for clothes, Fen only wears the most comfortable: loose fitting pants, sweatshirts, t-shirts, ect. At home, he often wears nothing at all.

In his wolf form, Fen stands at 6 feet at the shoulders. He has brown and tan fur, and the same golden brown eyes.

:.Behind The Scenes.:
Fen sports many scars from his life in the wild. There's too many to bother telling about.

:.The Past Was.:

Fen's parents were part of a small settlement up north. He was one of the few children there, but his parents were great teachers. They taught him to read, do math, and how to speak a few of the languages he may come across in the outside world. Fen lived in this settlement until he was 9, when a group of raiders stormed through and tore the place apart.

Fen was separated from his parents, so he did what they had taught him to do in this situation: he found shelter and he waited. And waited. And waited. Eventually, it became apparent that they weren't going to come rescue him. Fen had to fend for himself. He wandered his way back to what was left of the settlement, many of its people dead, and gathered what little supplies were left: a rucksack, a couple of his favorite books, a canister of water, and not much else.

Fen then ventured out into the big, scary world to try and survive. He came across a rickety little shack in the forest to call home. The roof leak, the floor creaked, and he was pretty sure it had more termites than nails, but it was better than nothing. It didn't take long for him to get hungry, forcing him to learn to hunt. He knew that wildlife lived in the area; he'd heard wolves not far from his home. If wolves were around, then there had to be food as well. He began by foraging: eating nuts and berries, and occasionally the left overs from the wolves' hunts. As he grew older, he became braver. Fen eventually set out to meet the wolves that lived in the area, and to hopefully befriend them. Or get torn apart, whichever came first.

He seemed to have a natural instinct when it came to animals. He knew when to back off, when to approach, and how to convey that he was a friend, not an enemy. After a few weeks of relentless effort, Fen managed to infiltrate the wolf pack. He started off as a loner that simply trailed behind them, then slowly began to join them on hunts and during meals. His intelligence, ability to make tools, and knack for hunting soon earned him a trusted spot among their ranks.

Fen was once a lonely boy in the middle of nowhere, but now he had a canine family. As the years went on, Fen's old clothes outgrew him, and as he became more feral, he eventually lost the need to wear them all together. During the harshest days of winters, he would still seek shelter in his shack, but the cold springs and falls didn't even bother him anymore. When he got bored, he would sit around and read his books to keep his literacy skills sharp. His favorite stories were about one of Norse god Loki's brood: Fenrir the wolf. He eventually adopted the name for himself.

This all changed when he came across a group of travelers, headed for the Paradise Land. Fen couldn't remember the last time he had seen a human face, and he felt a need to join his own kind again. He was torn between the prospect of human interaction, and his quaint little life in the woods. Finally, human interaction won out. Fen followed the group to the Paradise Land, but never really spoke with any of them. He seemed happy to just have their company. When they finally got there, Fen slowly started making a home for himself. It wasn't easy getting acquainted to the human way of life, but he did his best.
Well, I have an idea for several characters, and none of them have any abnormal appearances, so there's that :3
Would make a character, but I don't really 'do' anime :/ Is it okay if I use a real picture?
I have an idea for a fluffy, sweet, and puppylove type RP.

The place setting is a circus known for it's strange and colorful assortment of people: The Wayfaring Gala. Some have weird little powers, some have strange talents, but they're all like one big family. Then one day, the circus adds a new performer to their act: a wolf man. The owner bought the creature from another circus that was being shut down due to unethical treatment of its employees. The owner knew that the wolf man had been mistreated; his former circus had purposely trained him to hate people, to make his viciousness all the more real. They had supplied their patrons with food pellets outside of his cage, which almost always got thrown at him. The poor thing was a miserable creature by the time he was finally sold.

The owner of the Gala took the circus's animal trainer aside and gave her the task of earning the wild man's trust. But the wolf man had been at the circus for a whole week, and the entire time, he had shown little sign of being anything other than a wild, vicious, and bloodthirsty animal. Is it possible that the creature could have a soft side, or is he just a rabid beast?

Notes:

This could work for a MxM RP as well, if anyone wants to play a male.
I'm looking for someone who is capable of high-casual to advanced
I'd like someone who can post at least once a day
Just as a side note, the wolf man is NOT an actual wolf man. He's just a regular looking guy that can turn into a wolf.
Your character is the animal trainer, but what kind of animals she trains is up to you.
Guys?
So Manticore is your stereotypical evil big company. It will serve as the first arch villain, having employed several supervillains and lackeys to try and stop the heroes from countering their world domination plot. Of course it's a world domination plot. Why wouldn't it be?

Anyways, here are mercs:

Name: Isam Hajjar
Age: 31
Gender: Male

Personality: Isam was a serious, all business kind of guy. He was a born leader: cool under pressure and level headed. But at the same time, he won his friends loyalty and trust with the softer side of his personality. He cared for his friends, what few he had, and it showed. They were the closest thing to family he had. He would have gone to ends of the Earth should one of them disappear, which is what inspired the other two's fierce determination to get him back.

Skills: Knew his way around a gun, spoke several languages, was very good at reading people, and was pretty mean in a fight.

Other: Was the understood leader of the group. Is currently missing.

Appearance: Isam was 5'6" and muscular. His hair was black, curly, and shoulder length. It was often unbrushed and unruly, sometimes worn back in a ponytail. He often sported facial hair. His skin was a medium brown, and his eye were dark brown. Isam's body bore extensive scarring, most of it from his years in the war. His fashion choices were hardly that; Isam was a utilitarian by nature. He wore army pants, earth tone t-shirts and tank tops, and combat boots almost every day of his life.

History: Was born in a small village in Iraq. When Isam was young, war broke out in his country. Soldiers stormed into his village and took every male old enough to hold a gun, forcing them to enlist and fight for their country in the war that never seemed to end. Isam had been 12 at the time. He spent the next 11 years in the military, and during that time, he was captured by enemy soldiers, was tortured, escaped, blew up several enemy camps, was severely wounded during Operation Desert Fox, learned several languages, became a translator during interrogations of enemies, was captured a second time, escaped again, and decided that he'd had enough.

Isam left the military and Iraq behind. His whole family had been killed by city bombings, the country was in shambles, and there was nothing left for him there. However, war was in his nature. Isam was raised a soldier, and he found that he couldn't just walk away from it. He tried.

Isam moved to France to find refuge. There, he suffered from anxiety and paranoia left over from the war. He turned to alcohol and bar fights as an outlet, which eventually landed him in a French prison for a few weeks until somebody came and paid his bail. Isam was met by an older, rich white man that was gathering a small team of mercenaries to work for him. Isam wasn't interested at first, but the man had bailed him out of prison, and he felt as though he should at least humor the guy. The man, who went by Whitmore, was the head a large, American weapons company that was under fire for supposedly shipping weapons to enemy countries. Whitmore needed the three mercenaries as bodyguards, to protect him from the many people who wanted his head on a silver platter.

While working for Whitmore, Isam met Sasha and Fen. It was the start of beautiful bromance. Eventually, Whitmore was found guilty of his crimes and taken to prison, but the three mercs decided that they would form a team and continue working together. Several years down the road, they were hired by a company called Manticore to guard one of their small bases. Manticore is a company that pioneers in genetic sciences, and a lot people have mixed opinions on them. Their work in medical sciences has saved millions, but at the same time, there are rumors floating around the web that they preform experiments on live test subjects. The nastier of those rumors claim they use humans.

The mercs didn't know what the company was up to, nor did they care. All they knew was that they got paid to keep nosy treehuggers out of the base. All was well until one night, when Isam saw something within the base that he wasn't supposed to see. He was taken away to be kept quiet, and other two haven't seen him since. They don't know where he is, why he was taken, or if he's even still alive. They dropped their contract with the company and began systematically attacking their bases in search of their friend. While they've been at it, they've found a few interesting files laying around. Stuff about super soldiers, human experimentation, and things that would make a weaker man's skin crawl. It became clear that Manticore wasn't the shining pinnacle of innovation that it claimed to be. They had plans for something much more sinister.

Name: Sasha Belov
Age: 36
Gender: Male

Personality: Sasha is an interesting character. He's the type that gives everyone insulting nicknames, picks on people, and plays poker with anyone dumb enough to place a bet. He's loud, boisterous, and makes eyes at anything with a uterus. Essentially, the exact opposite of Isam. The two bickered back and forth for the first few months they were forced to work together, but they eventually bonded over their shared love for vodka. Sasha and Isam were best of buds, their personalities playing off of each other. After Isam's disappearance, Sasha stepped up to lead their now two-man group. He's still a loud asshole, but he knows when to joke and when to get serious.

Skills: Military background, excellent card player, very good strategist, intelligent, can drink half a bottle of vodka and remain conscious.

Other: Enjoys watching movies, old and new.

Appearance: Sasha is a large, muscular man. He stands at 6'2", has pale skin and dirty blonde hair that is kept in a neat buzz cut. His eyes are a gray-ish blue. Sasha has several tattoos, one being the simplified bird seen in the picture above. He may be big and scary looking when you first meet him, but that usually wears off as soon as he opens his mouth.

History:
Sasha grew up in Kazan, Russia. His mother had been a drug addict, and overdosed when Sasha was 5. He was left to be raised by his father, who fell into depression after the loss of his wife. The man was an alcoholic, and a violent one at that. After Sasha's mother had died, his father had essentially lost interest in being a father. He would often invite his equally drunken friends over to watch soccer games, drink, and play poker while Sasha hid in his room and pretended not to exist. Sasha wanted to get out of the house as soon as he could, and joining the military seemed like the best option. However, Sasha had something of an authority issue when he was younger. His father's abuse had turned him into a rebellious little shit. After 6 years of service, his shenanigans finally got him dismissed from the armed forces.

But Sasha didn't give up easily. He was going to be a soldier whether the military wanted him or not. Maybe it was some inner need to make something of himself rather than turn into his father. He went into the mercenary business when he was 24. His job allowed him to travel the world, gathering skills as he went. Sasha slowly lost most of his 'punkass kid' attitude, but his personality remained as flamboyant as ever. He was approached by Whitmore at some point and got together with Isam and Fen to form a team. Then later, he worked for Manticore, and then even later, he began to work for himself.

Name: Fenrir "Fen"
Age: 23
Gender: Male

Personality: Fen is sort of a strange fellow. He's pretty friendly with strangers, and makes a good first impression, but the longer you know him, the more of his quirks you notice. Your first impression of him may be a meek and awkward man; he's terrible at speaking with people he doesn't know. He's a bit naive about culture, popular or otherwise. He's gotten better about it, having had several movie nights with Sasha, but there's still the occasional reference that he doesn't get. Or real world situation that doesn't go quite like he would have expected.

Skills: Fen is very proficient at wilderness survival; he can hunt, tract, and eat things that most humans would balk at. His senses are a little better than the average man's: he has a keen nose, sharp ears, good eyes, and can feel when someone is trying to sneak up on him. His sense of taste seems unaffected, if not worse. For a man his size, Fen is surprisingly strong. He's also very good with animals.

Other: May or may not be the product of genetic engineering. He also loves to read old literature.

Appearance: Fen is 5'9" with lean muscles. At home, wherever that is this week, he often wears nothing at all. This goes with much complaint from Sasha.

History:

Fen's place of birth isn't really known. He believes he was created in a lab, hidden somewhere in the Alaskan mountains. He remembered being taught several languages, mathematics, sciences, literature, and other basics. When he was 9, he was drugged by his handlers, taken out into the middle of nowhere, and left to fend for himself. This was a true test of his abilities.

Fen woke up and began to do as he'd been taught to do in this situation: he scouted. He eventually found a small shack in the middle of the forest, equipped with food, water, clothes, blankets, ect. He lived there for a while, holed away. Every once and a while, an airplane would fly over and drop supplies near his shack. But after a couple years, the deliveries stopped coming.

Fen didn't know what happened. Maybe the company was shut down, maybe this was a new step in his testing, or maybe they just forgot about him. Whatever the case, it became clear that Fen would either have to hunt for food and water, or starve to death in his shack.

When Fen was 18, he finally decided that he was tired of being a hermit. He wanted to get back into human society. So he said farewell to his wolf family and packed a bag of whatever supplies he had around his shack, and headed on a long journey across Alaska. When he eventually found a town and emerged from the forest, naked and half wild, he found that humans weren't as easy to get along with as his wolves had been. Fenrir had a strange nature that made it hard to live around other people, but he wasn't one to give up too quickly. Fen joined the military, thinking that his fighting skills would earn him respect among soldiers. That didn't work out so well for him.

Fen was picked on by the other men for his strange behaviors, and was punished when he attacked his hecklers. Eventually, he finished one too many fights and got himself kicked out with an dishonorable discharge. Fen was then approached by Whitmore, who wanted him to use his skills to protect him. Fen was hesitant, but it was the first real time someone had ever said they wanted him around. He then met Sasha and Isam and, despite his behaviors, he managed to befriend them. Their three man group was like a little wolf pack of its own.

Fen was happy to keep working with them even after their contact with Whitmore went down the toilet. And when Isam was kidnapped, Fen was willing to do anything in his power to get his friend and leader back.

Sounds good to me. I'll make a CS and post my charries. Just on a side note, there's three things that get on my bad side in a superhero RP, and that's magic, light control, and shadow control. Good luck making that lamp's shadow stop the burglar, Slappy.

anyways, stay away from those, and you should be fine.

That's an idea. We'd have to hammer out some details, and unless this villain took the merc to the other side of the world, to space, or to an alternate dimension, we'll probably have to come up with more plotlines.

Well, it would at least be a good opening plot.

To get the guys acquainted

Because these assholes would prolly never get along unless forced to do so

Hello ;3. So would these "shiny" heroes be chasing this villain, because he is bad? I feel as if there should be a reason they side with these mercenaries. (I do like vigilante RP's btw.)

because they asked nicely?

Yeah, I guess the shinies would be hunting down this baddie anyways

So when the merc guy gets taken, the next logical step would be to find your enemy's enemies.

and team up with those enemies
just to give you an idea, I had three characters in mind for me

a team of mercenaries who are kind of neutral factor

until one of their guys gets taken by a villain for some reason

and they have to work with the shiny heroes to get him back

and they obviously clash
ooh, I actually like the sound of that

nitty gritty is kind of my thing

maybe we could have shiny heroes vs vigilantes vs cops vs villains

is that too many vs?
