T2: LOL

T1: What is 'lol'?

09:13
T2: It means I am laughing out loud.
T1: But I am looking at you. You are not loling.

========================================================

Name: T1 and T2
Alias: TANDEM
Age: Unknown
Gender: Both male

Occupation: Killbots

Skills & Abilities: TANDEM can be programmed to do just about anything. On default, they only know their own basic maintenance.

Equipment: They both have tons of built in features, such as EMP devices, night vision, electroshocks, build in chat interface, ect. Their bodies are almost as much machine as they are flesh and blood. A lot of their suits is removable. The plating and armor can be taken off to perform maintenance and such.

Aside from what's built into them, they have a plethora of weapons that they are given, depending on the assignment. They don't actually own any of them.

Personality:
Although neither cyborg has very much in the way of personality, they each have their little quirks that set them apart. Both are almost void of emotion and humanity. Whatever personality the two subjects had before being experimented on has been saved on a hard drive and locked away somewhere. They are little more than blank interfaces now.
T1 is the risk taker. He's more willing to take a chance in the field, risk injury for the sake of their mission.
T2 is the strategist. He doesn't like taking chances, because he's probably already got a plan that eliminates the need to risk anything.

Subject information:

TANDEM - Cyborgs

Once humans, TANDEM has bridged the gap between man and machine. Working perfectly as one unit, TANDEM are the soldiers of the future. Their design would no doubt brings a good load of money into the lab if sold, but right now, there's too much red tape over their creation being 'inhumane'. Its arguable that, since they were dead when they were found, that they no longer had human rights.

TANDEM communicates with others via The Interface. Users with access to the interface can type in commands, which then read out across the cyborgs' enhanced retinas. They use this same interface to communicate with each other, speak with one another like users in a chat room. They don't talk at all. The cyborgs are punished if they are found to be using their interface to talk about anything not work-related. However, TANDEM is clever. Together, they have created a separate channel, apart from the one made for them, where they are free to communicate without their handlers' prying eyes. Their conversations on this secret channel are usually more relaxed than those viewable by their creators.

The physical enhancements done to the cyborgs are advanced. Both have super strength, with a limit of lifting 2 tons. However, the unfortunate thing about machines is that, when they hit limits, they cannot push further. The cyborgs will never be able to lift more than 2 tons, and trying will result in damage.

They can reach up to 50 MPH on foot, and maintain that speed for 10 minutes before they will begin to overheat. That is their upper limit, and like said before, it can't be pushed.

Both have enhanced reflexes. Their reaction time depends on how much they were paying attention.

Both are very intelligent. Able to store up to 100 terabytes of information on their hard drives, which is said to be the limit of the human brain. The difference is that TANDEM never forgets. The information they store is constantly available to them. However, their hard drives are usually kept pretty vacant, to prevent them from developing their own opinions, preferences, and other human needs. That's the drawback. While TANDEM is unique because of their ability to mix the intelligence of a machine with the instinct of a man, they are still technically human. If left unchecked, they will slowly become more human.

Appearance:

TANDEM share the same design. It's not clear just how much is left of either of their human bodies, but it's obvious that some heavy modifications have been made. The cyborgs' eyes have been replaced with high tech machines. Their retinas contain screens that allow them to interact and receive commands via an interface that is programed into them. They are both 6 feet even.

T1 has brown hair, shaved with only the top of his left left with hair, exactly like T2. He is the smaller of the two, with his shoulders being less broad and his build less bulky. His skin is pallor, as if the blood has been drained from his face. He has a constant, blank expression when interacting with others. However, he is much better at conveying himself via facial expressions than T2. He only uses these facial expressions with T2, often able to communicate through them alone.

T2 has blond hair in the same style as T1. He has broad shoulders. It's clear that, when he was still human, he was the bigger man out of the two. He was probably taller at one time, too. His skin, too, is pallor. He usually wears a blank and stony expression, except when communicating with T1.

History:
Names long forgotten, James Fuller and Robert Vans were once decorated war heroes. They were an unstoppable team, trained in black ops for missions that most men would call a suicide run. Even as real people, they worked together flawlessly. The two soldiers finally met their demise while running an op. Their bodies were recovered by a villainous tech genuis, and the experiments began.

Having only been dead for mere minutes, most of their brain tissue was still recoverable. Whatever had received damage could be replaced. It took years for the two cyborgs to become what they today. Neither of them remember their past life.

Story Arc: TANDEM will hopefully be reformed into good guys. Maybe even people.
This looks familiar.

I may join :3

Relation towards other characters:
(TBA)

Name: Kaliq "Kal" Handal
Alias: Variant
Age: 26
Gender: Male

Powers: Animal shapeshifting, flight, enhanced strength and senses, and alien anatomy.

Kaliq's DNA was spliced with that of an alien species known as Vari. The Vari have the ability to shapeshift into any creature on their planet. That ability was transferred to Kaliq, who can shift into any Earth creature. When at his best, he can shift into 'superforms' of regular animals. A giant, enhanced wolf, an armored elephant, an extra fast cheetah, ect.

Aside from his shapeshifting, Kaliq's anatomy was changed. He grew feathered wings like those of the Vari, with armored plating at their bases. When they sit folded, almost his entire back is protected by the plates. However, when spread, he becomes more vulnerable. Other changes took place as well. His organs shifted to resemble those of the Vari: his heart now sits lower in his abdomen. A shot to the chest wouldn't necessarily be lethal. His ribs grew wider, making the spaces between them less vulnerable and his torso harder. His genitalia became internal, like a reptile, making them harder to damage.

Weakness: His superforms take more energy than normal shapeshifting, so any major injury or malnutrition would hinder him. Aside from that, he's vulnerable to fire, blows to the stomach (where his heart his), and other typical human weaknesses.

Experience: Military training, martial arts training, typical spyguy training

Appearance: At first glance, Kal looks like your average dude. His brown wings fold perfectly into his back, making them easy to hide under clothing. The leathery armor scales that plate the back of them are tough and hard, but mostly flat. Kaliq is of Arab ethnicity. He has medium brown skin, brown eyes, black hair.

Notes: He speaks several languages, Arabic being his native tongue.

History: Born in a small village of Iraq, Kaliq was no stranger to war. When his town was invaded and pillaged by a terrorist organization, The Black Ring, all able bodied men and young boys were forcefully loaded onto trucks and driven into the desert. They were given a choice: join the Ring or die. Kaliq, as a boy barely old enough to understand the wars his people fought, chose to live.

At the age of 9, he became part of an experimental program to create super agents. Him and 5 other young boys had their DNA spliced with that of an alien race's, known as the Vari. The 4 other boys died, leaving Kaliq to be the only success. His anatomy was changed; he was half human, half alien. He was trained by the best men the Black Ring had. He knew weapons inside and out, how to kill a man 27 different ways without touching them, and so on and so forth. When Kaliq was 17, he was sent to the United States to preform an act of terrorism.

However, he was stopped by one of the country's superheroes. Kaliq was taken into custody and probably would have rotted his life away in prison had someone not taken pity on him. As it was, one of the agents that apprehended him took him to the government's T.U.S.A division: Tactical Usage of Superhuman Agents. He didn't see Kaliq as a terrorist, but as a sorely misled and exploited child. At TUSA, they were able to shake the brainwashing propaganda he'd been forcefed for the last decade and a half, and turn him over to their side. As he aged, he became one of their best agents.

However, while on a mission, Kaliq was captured by a villainous crimelord known as Russo, and brainwashed to be used for sinister purposes. So far, all rescue efforts have failed.

Commitment: Can prolly post once or twice a day.
I hate to speedpost, but I'm tempted to post again :P

Should Nightwing know? I can see it either way. Also I'm going to go ahead and redo the opening post, so disregard everything Pit related unless someone takes him over. Also I need to bug Rin and Gowi to post.I can't wait until when Nightwing gives Howard the ultimate reality check. I'm sure Nightwing has known about the guy for years being in the same position of super rich kid, but isn't a gigantic dick.

Let's face it, Batman would totally know. He probably would have figured it the moment Bucky surfaced as the Winter Soldier. That means Nightwing could either have learned it from Bats, or he could just suspect it.

If you wanted to somehow figure out a way for him and James to have known each other in their Bucky and Robin days, then James would probably have told him himself.

But that would make Nightwing obscenely old.
Just as a side note, no one really knows that Bucky was the Winter Soldier. Just about the only superheroes who know are Steve Rogers, Falcon, Black Widow, and Iron Man. Tony might have told Howard, or he might have found out on his own. Either way, it would piss Bucky off if he found out Howard knew :P
"More like babysitter," Bucky muttered under his breath. Then he decided to give an actual answer. "I guess? Maybe? I'm kind of just here to show you guys how these things work, I don't think I'll be leading any of your missions." He handed the kid, Mobius, a plate of pancakes. Across the table from him, Artus was eating his like syrup tacos. The gargoyle's hands were too big and clumsy to hold a fork and knife.

Artus tilted his head at Danny. "My name's Artus, I'm a gargoyle." Although he still guess the other boy was halfway correct. He did decorate the roof sometimes. He looked back at his pancakes. "Yeah, we have them pretty often. Mr. Barnes makes them about once a week, I guess."

"Kid, what'd I tell you about the 'Mr. Barnes' thing? Call me Bucky, everyone else does." Being called 'Mr.' anything just reminded James of how old he was. God, so old.

"Yes sir, Mr. Bucky," Artus said, completely earnest.
And then Bucky can remind him that some people just need to be shot, cruelly and efficiently.

"Now look here, son, I fought in World War 2. I shot Hitler!"
Not gonna lie, was totally gonna have Nightwing and Bucky be buddies and hang out on their own time. Because they used to know each other back in the day. And I feel like they'd prolly get along pretty well.

But that was when no one was actually playing him.
