Hello! Gonna try this again haha, been a while since I made an Interest Check. Firstly, a short description of what I'm looking for:

Given the mature themes (for romance/bed scenes, violence, and swearing), would really appreciate a partner 18 years old or older. Though I can do FxF, right now I'd prefer FxM pairings, with my character being female. For this one I'd rather do things via PM, given the mature themes.

I tend to be a mid-casual to advanced RPer, and I try to post at least once a day, or once every other day (on good days I post more than once a day, but life happens to all of us and I can't guarantee that frequency). I would expect the same posting frequency, but I totally understand work/school/life getting in the way. Just give me a heads-up if you're either caught up in other stuff, or if you want to stop the rp altogether.

Now, onto my general idea:

Generally, it involves the existence of Paladins, people who have been assigned, by mysterious means that not even the Paladin herself would be entirely knowledgeable about, the duty of protecting their world, or the safety of other worlds. They are given a Ring that provides them with the means to travel to other worlds/dimensions, and augments any latent magical or mutant ability the Paladin may have. I made it a multiverse theme because I'd like flexibility as much as possible: my two go-to female characters come from two very different worlds: one is medieval fantasy-inspired, the other comes from an alternate Earth.

Because of this, am generally looking for fish-out-of-water or clash of two worlds kind of situations. And I have a special place in my heart of characters who start out hating or being irritated with each other, LOL. While I have this one idea that I want to try, I would generally welcome suggestions for putting my character/s into other situations that are thematically similar, lol.

My current craving:

It's been a while since my character, Akira, had left her own Earth and become Paladin. For reasons that will be revealed later in the rp, she had left the Paladin business, and her adopted older sister, Akire, behind. Now she's settled in another Earth-like world and trying to adjust to a "normal" life: college, living in an apartment by herself, everyday Earth things. It is here that she meets your character, who may also be trying to hide or run away from a mysterious past. This would be part slice of life, as both characters attempt to deal with a mundane life (and each other), and part modern fantasy, as both their baggage catches up with them.

A bit of a background for Akira: she had been a young girl, born in an Earth much like ours, when she had been taken from this life by another Paladin, who had taken her under her wing; Akira had been in danger in her original Earth, hence the rescue, but now she couldn't go back to her original universe. She's in her early twenties now, but she still has her Ring, which grants her the power to manipulate metal.
Hallo! Sending you a PM!

Also tagging @Carantathraiel just because fancy seeing you here dearie xD.
YASSSSS
@BrokenPromise Yes. Yes I suppose that is much more appropriate.

Also, hallo halloooo
@Carantathraiel gloomy bear = panda?

was asked to give a lecture on Thursday for a Halloween-themed round-table discussion, and we're encouraged to come in costume. Might go Victorian all up in that shiz
Setting: These worlds could either be fantasy-based or SF-based, hence the flexibility. The concept was designed to accommodate a variety of ideas. I also would love to try putting characters in worlds far different from the ones they were born in; these fish out of water situations also make interesting romantic pairings for characters, I find.

Main idea: involves the existence of Paladins, people who have been assigned, by mysterious means that not even the Paladin herself would be entirely knowledgeable about, the duty of protecting their world, or the safety of other worlds. They are given a Ring that provides them with the means to travel to other worlds/dimensions, and augments any latent magical or mutant ability the Paladin may have.

My go-to characters:

1. Akire - or Kire, for short; an Empress living in a world called Amria, populated by a race of humans with long lifespans. The Ring gave her superhuman strength and a healing ability (to a degree; the more grievous the injury, of course, the more energy it needs to operate the magic). Legend has it that the royal bloodline was descended from dragons, and this may explain why the Ring augmented these specific abilities. The setting is typical medieval-high fantasy

2. Akira - a young girl born in a reality like ours. Only, she already was vaguely aware of the existence of other worlds, and of another version of herself (Akire). They do meet some time later, with Akire rescuing her from danger. Later on, Akira also acquires a Ring that gives her the ability to manipulate metal.

Again, the multiverse idea was made to be flexible, so I would actually welcome if the character and setting you had in mind doesn't necessarily jive with my two characters' origins. I like the tension created by the fact that our characters come from different worlds. Oh, and I'd like for there to be a romance that organically develops from our story :)

A Couple of Vague Plot ideas:

Please note that these are suggestions for starting points, but if you have other ideas and are interested in rp-ing with my concept or characters, please feel free to make suggestions

1. It's been a while since Akira had left her own Earth and become Paladin. For reasons that will be revealed later in the rp, she had left the Paladin business, and her adopted older sister, Akire, behind. Now she's settled in another Earth-like world and trying to adjust to a "normal" life: college, living in an apartment by herself, everyday things. Until your character comes along and disrupts this "peace". Your character could either be someone from that Earth or an inhabitant of another universe/world looking for a Paladin.

2. Akire (Kire for short, pronounced Kee-reh in case you were wondering haha) finds herself in your characters world while attempting to find the source of a great magical disturbance that might threaten Amria. Something messes with her portal and she finds herself trapped in your character's world with her powers on the fritz. Her powers being unreliable, she has to find a way to investigate the source of the disruption and put a stop to it with your character's help. Inevitably, she finds herself embroiled in some sort of power-struggle (we could world-build about this together, would love to have ideas from you!), and this would put her in conflict with her initial reluctance to meddle in another world's internal affairs.
@Ashevelendar Yup, definitely :) I made the multiverse in such a way that whoever I RP with pretty much can have their selection of the world their character comes from; I would actually find it pretty cool if they come from different worlds, would make the dynamics of the pairing interesting for me ^^ I have a couple of vague plot ideas that I'd be happy to hash out with you if you're still interested in em:

1. It's been a while since Akira had left her own Earth and become Paladin. For reasons that will be revealed later in the rp, she had left the Paladin business behind. Now she's settled in another Earth-like world and trying to adjust to a "normal" life: college, living in an apartment by herself, everyday things. 2. Akire (Kire for short, pronounced Kee-reh in case you were wondering haha) finds herself in your characters world while attempting to find the source of a great magical (or energy, whichever kind of principle your world works on) disturbance that might threaten Amria. Something messes with her portal and she finds herself trapped in your character's world with her powers on the fritz. Her powers being unreliable, she has to find a way to investigate the source of the disruption and put a stop to it with your character's help. Maaaath.
@Ashevelendar alo! Saw that one of your ideas had something to do with a character ending up in another world or universe, and that kinda fits with this whole world/ idea that I have:

Main idea: involves the existence of Paladins, people who have been assigned, by mysterious means that not even the Paladin herself would be entirely knowledgable about, the duty of protecting their world, or the safety of other worlds. They are given a Ring that provides them with the means to travel to other worlds/dimensions, and augments any latent magical or mutant ability the Paladin may have.

My go-to characters are Paladins:

1. Akire - an Empress living in a world called Amria, populated by a race of humans with long lifespans. The Ring gave her superhuman strength and a healing ability (to a degree; the more grievous the injury, of course, the more energy it needs to operate the magic).
