Truth be told, I only ever finished Emerald, and only once. Never got into breeding either, I always forgot where the daycare was, and I didn't want to spend my money, so yeah. Still fun, though. Tedious, but fun, for a while at least.
The first shiny I got was a zigzagoon in ruby. I hated them at first but I used it till the elite four lol beyond that my second only shiny was in heart gold a lapras. Those two was the only shinies I ever found. Though currently trying to get a shiny in x and y though no luck so far.
