@Morose Considering I really need to go to bed soon due to having work in the morning, I don't know how fast I can go. Gosh, I really want to bring her in at the start, but I don't know that I have the time. I barely pumped out the rest of that CS. Who all would I need to do relations for to start off with?
@Morose Okay, I'm done with Lyra. wipes sweat off of brow

Thalken's jaw about dropped to the ground and his hands similarly fell back down to his sides at the guard's reaction, or lack thereof. Seriously? Seriously?!! He picked his jaw up off the floor to return it to its more typical clenched position. He then let out a very mature huff of annoyance as he crossed his arms over his chest. He couldn't manage to wipe the now open glare from his face. A low growl formed somewhere in the back of his throat when they even told him to move off the path. Rude. He glared at them a moment longer, barely containing the rising irritation, before he reluctantly shuffled to the side of the path as was requested.

He took a deep, hopefully calming, breath and rubbed his temple between his fingers. This was ridiculous. His dark eyed gaze looked past the guards to what little he could see of the Tent City within as music and singing drifted to his ears. He let out a small sigh, his hand falling back down to his side. At least someone was having fun... He pondered the last time he ever had an inkling of fun. It seemed like a lifetime ago. His life had long since revolved around work, killing and deceiving in the Talink name. So much pain and suffering they had caused, and for what? Money? Power? Such "rewards" fade away with time, but the devastation they cause can last for many generations.

Thalken glanced sharply back at the guards as they began conversing as if he wasn't even there. He let out a deep resigned sigh. "I give up," he muttered. And right then and there, the formidable Thalken Talink dropped down to the ground to sit cross-legged on the dew covered grass, with his head rested in the palms of his hands. Yup, this was what he had been reduced to.

"Veather manipulation?" Alexandra stated with slight exsperation. "Come again?" She had heard of a lot of unique, and at times outlandish, abilities in her time, but weather manipulation was a new one for her. How did that even work? Did it just effect the chunk of sky in your immediate vicinity, or did it effect a much broader scope of the atmosphere, like the weather for a whole town or country? Her eyes widened further at the notion. She just stood there for a moment, wide eyed, staring at nothing or no one in particular, and with her food still planted on the dirty floor where she had accidentally dropped it. Her brain was just too busy contemplating the possibilities of such a power, and better yet what her own abilities could be. Once again, it was a lot to take in, so much so that everyone, including herself, might as well have an ERROR signal written plainly on their faces.

She was pulled out of her haze by Gilbert's voice. "Hmmm," she mumbled, her dark eyed gaze drifting to his. She simply arched a brow at his words, due to her current inability to find some words of her own. She glanced over at the other paradox, Bartholomew, then back over at Gilbert, and finally down at her food that was still on the floor. She let out a small sigh and bent down to pick it up, before moving to throw it away in the nearest waste bin. She listened in on what else The Hat had to say, despite the fact that it seemed to be more addressed towards the other paradox. Nevertheless, she was intrigued. He knew everything about human history, even that pertaining to their personal history?

Her mind went back to pictures in her new room, the pictures of her dearly departed birth parents and her still alive adoptive parents. He knew about that part of her history? And he had gotten those pictures of them for her? A gust off air exited her parted lips, and her heart clenched within her chest. A part of her felt touched by his actions, and yet another part of her felt that her privacy had been violated. She didn't want to be known as the little girl who had lost her parents anymore by anyone. Did he think of her as weak because of it? She bit her lip and looked over her shoulder to eye Gilbert from where she stood. Who was she kidding? Look at him. Of course she was puny and weak in comparison. Well, she would just have to prove him wrong. She brushed her melancholy aside, lifted her chin, and then strode back over to the two men.

@Morose Okay. I edited them in. :3

Things were certainly not going as Thalken had anticipated. Had he expected to just mosey on in there without any hindrances? No, far from it actually. He had honestly expected to be jumped upon sight, dragged in, interrogated, and potentially held prisoner. Why do it then? It allowed for a small window of opportunity to prove his change of heart. If it didn't work? Well, then he would get what he deserved. He would atone for all his sins, all those years of being a merciless killer before he saw the light. In the end, he would atone for it through good deeds, hard time--or death.

Thalken listened to the guard's reply, his arms still crossed over his chest. The guard continued to adamantly deny the Lady Crypt's presence in the Tent City, and it didn't take much thought on his part to realize that they were protecting her. He had to give them a bit of respect for that. His dark eyed gaze took in the subtle movement of the guard's hands down to his belt of weapons. Thalken tensed and fought the urge to take on a defensive stance. His jaw clenched from the effort.

A dark glint flashed through his eyes as he was then once again denied entrance. This was quite irksome. He could just try to fight his way in, but he quickly dismissed the notion. Getting physical would only serve to further incriminate himself. If he wanted to speak volumes, turning away and coming back tomorrow would do just that. However, the truth was that he was afraid that if he turned away now he wouldn't have the courage to come back. It would be so much easier to just run away from it all, but he knew that if he did that he would never find even an inkling of contentment in his life. The guilt would slowly gnaw at him until there was nothing of him left.

So Thalken decided to just change tactics. He fell back on his more cunning ways. Perhaps he was taking a risk, a risk to his credibility, but what else was he suppose to do? Besides, old habits die hard. "You know there is more than one way for me to get inside," he retorted. For a moment there was a noticeable edge to the tone of his voice, but it was soon smoothed back out. "Yet here I am taking the appropriate mode of entrance," he continued, gesturing with his hands for a moment before holding them up with his empty palms facing them. "Fine. Fine, if the Lady Crypt is currently too busy, I will wait. I'll wait here."
