"Please! For the love of god." Dij wheezed from his broken ribs. "We don't have... to fight!"

Ascension: Monster Farm

"Yes." She said, The Acquizari buzzed around her head in short lazy circles, the monster even with its limited intelligence hadn't an inkling of what to do. "It didn't look too harmful, I think it's called and Acquizari" her eyes followed it a bit before she shooed it away with a single hand, The Acquizari buzzed, but continued it's trek around her head,"and so far it's pretty harmless. However, it's pretty annoying right now." Jones admitted grumpily.

A warm light engulfed Hurrah and his monsters. Initially, Jones was worried, she turned her head up to see a woman riding off in the sky. However nothing seemed out of the ordinary, expect... "Hurrah, I think somethings happened to your monster." She commented.

Jones heart melted in her chest as her brother hugged her tightly, she wouldn't trade this for anything in the world she thought. The Acquizari continued to buzz around her, it was far too timid to do anything else at the time being. Jones looked at the monsters Hurrah carried over to her, "they're very cute," she said as he introduced them to her, she then frowned at the state of one of his monsters, "this one looks hurt," Jones pointed at the bug fairy, "its wing is broken, it won't ever fly again." Jones stated bluntly but in a gentle tone to Hurrah.

Jones looked confused then shocked when she heard her name be called out in tears, it couldn't be she thought. She turned around to see her younger brother rushing towards her, tears filled his eyes. It tightened her hearts in knots to see him like that. "Hurrah?" Hurrah!" Jones shouted, "I thought I left you-" her words were cut off as he ricocheted off a bystander, and fell into a golden slime, her mouth went dry. The Acquizari floated besides her with a buzz as it beat its wings to stay afloat.

She rushed to her brother as he was ejected out of the slime, "are you alright?" She asked him, "does anything hurt?"

With a whoomph Dij is sent back from the beam of energy and hits the wall of the cave with a loud thump. "Holy hell.." He breathed, Dij thought a rib had been cracked.

Ascension: Monster Farm

Jones heard everything he had to say, saw what he had to offer, and she finally made her decision. "Alright." She accepted in a flat tone, Jones reached out and took the Soul Gems, the food, and the healing potions from Zephel. "I believe you. You're probably not lying, otherwise you're the best actor in the world."

She walked over to the rows of monsters, and picked out a small bug like one. With a burst an Acquizari appeared in front of her.

Jones eyed Zephel with a suspicious glare as she sized the old man up for all that he was worth, she turned her eyes up to the skies and stared at the sky. She saw Zephel's dragon, and her eyes briefly widened in wonder. Then she was pulled back down when he referred back to her. She cautiously took the map from his hand, and held it in her right hand. Perhaps a sign that she had already accepted what had been offered.

"What's the price?" She asked bluntly, "can't be for free. It's too damn suspicious someone like you coming out into the middle of nowhere holding all of these wonderful monsters. Am I gonna owe you a thousand gold coins if I select a single monster?" She asked suspiciously with hooded eyes.
