As someone who works for a pet store I both love and hate pixar. The next person that tries to ask me if we have "a dory fish" for their goldfish bowl is getting straight up clubbed like a baby seal

Jacque nodded silently as listned to Luna's orders. He tensed slightly, however there was no fear on his face, only caution as he recognized the look that was being given to him. Jacque was all too aware of what could happen if he and Luna ever had to come to blows, he was built to be sturdy -at least by bird kid standards- but she could still cause him serious injury or even kill him, just as he could her. This and the fact that he respected and trusted her and her judgement meant that he was content following her orders. Jacque tucked his own wings in as a sign of submission, "You've got it, i'll make sure they stay safe.". As Luna walked away to speak to the others, Jacque stared at her with a perplexed expression. There was something different in the way she'd looked at him this time, as if there was something that was genuinely worrying her that she couldn't talk about.

When it came time for Luna to leave, Jacque silently watched her wave to everyone for a bit before he briskly walked over to her, closing the distance in a few strides. With only a few centimeters between them, Jacque did something that he almost never did: He wrapped both of his arms around Luna's midsection and picked her up, encompassing her in a hug. With her being at face level to himself, Jacque tilted his head and brought his mouth close to her ear, "You be careful out there, i'll make sure to protect everyone here. I bet my life on it.". He held her for a few seconds more before gently putting her back down and turning to the others with a shrug. Given how rarely he actually showed affection outside of a fist bump, a ruffling of the hair, or a slug on the shoulder, Jacque squelched any possible questions regarding the action with his next statement, "Figured I may as well get one hug in since Luna's heading out on freedom day.".
Dimitri, content to quietly peer up from his hands and watch the others interact, stifled a small chuckle as he watched them. Everyone's behaving so fluidly, like they aren't trying to figure out in advance every little thing they have to do to appear normal. I wonder if this is what hanging out is like. He mused just before feeling Victorique press up against him again And this there's this.. Dimitri once more tensed up, however this time after watching Victorique interact with Kalinda, he'd sort of come to expect that personal space might be a bit foreign to her.

He took a few moments to will his body to relax, to get accustomed to being in physical contact with someone his age without said physical contact being either him punching them or them punching him. After a while Dimitri showed almost no response to the girl's proximity save for a slight shift to allow himself a bit more comfort. The sudden feeling over her hair brushing his shoulder and arm caused Dimitri's jaw to tense in alarm, however a quick glance in her direction convinced him to calm down once more. Does....does she have narcolepsy? She sleep pretty easily around strangers.. The young man found himself pulled from his thoughts yet again as Ju-Long sent a question his way, catching Dimitri a bit off guard, though to his own surprise he was able to recover quickly, "Me? I'm actually fairly new. I mean, I was supposed to be placed in EAT, but they ended up putting me here for...well, I guess what I can do.".

Despite his somewhat stoic outward appearance, Dimitri beamed internally at the fact that he'd actually managed to speak to someone without stuttering. He'd even managed to actually look at Ju-Long rather than his hands this time. Deciding to reward himself for actually acting normally for a change, Dimitri began to rifle through his pockets, being careful to not disturb Victorique as he pulled a lime flavored lollipop from his pocket. After unwrapping the candy and putting it in his mouth, Dimitri smiled just a bit as the lime flavor hit him, completely oblivious to how goofy it might have looked for someone like him to be pleased over something as simple as a piece of candy.
Apologies for my absence folks, had to attend to a lot of work and college related business.
@MonsieurShade
Yeah I suppose that could be a good reason. I don't like it personally but I'm doing it lol

Well if it helps, i've kind of started viewing Jacque as the enforcer behind the words. He'd seem like the type to actually punish one of the others if they did something wrong. Him being the one to do that would mean that the individual on the receiving end would be upset with him for a bit rather than Luna, thereby taking pressure off of her.
Jacque sneered as he froze in mid flight at the sound of Luna's voice, his lips tightly pulled back in a snarl that showed every single one of the scissor like teeth in the front of his mouth. He'd heard someone yelling from inside the cabin, though he'd been a bit too far away to make out who it was and what they were saying, however Luna's voice rang out loud and clear from the deck of the cabin. Jacque didn't face Luna or the others for a few seconds, rather he continued to stare ahead at the eagle until he felt Luna's gaze on the back of his head. This and the sudden realization of the fact that he'd probably broken some of his eggs convinced Jacque to turn back and slowly descend in the circular manner he often used. It took a bit of time, but Jacque made his landing, hitting the ground with a solid thud just a few inches to Luna's left.

Jacque's expression softened soon after landing, he still wanted to tear that damned bird apart, however orders were orders. He stretched his wings one last time and tucked them in before looking at the basket to access the damage. Out of the nineteen eggs he'd collected, he could see two had broken and another three where cracked, "Oh goddamn it..." Jacque muttered before closing a bit of the distance between himself and Luna. With the exception of Estelle, all of the group where pretty tall, however Jacque was definitely one of the more massive specimens, towering head, shoulders, and chest over Luna as he stared down at her. He hardened his gaze just a bit as he parted his lips, seeming as though he was about to either argue or defend his actions, what came out instead was: "I know you're getting ready to head out and all that, but we've gotta sit Estelle down and talk to her about wandering off and messing with wild animals when you get back. A few inches up and that bird could have torn open her damn throat." in a flat tone.

It was rare for Jacque to ever willingly taken a proactive role in how the group was to be dealt with, usually he just followed orders, or every once in a blue moon, acted as an enforcer and punished one of the others after clearing this action with Luna to ensure the group wouldn't hold it against her when physical reprimanding was in order. Jacque didn't like it, but it had to be done sometimes. Right now however the concern in his voice and usage of the word "we" rather than "you" or even "I" meant that Jacque considered the matter extreme enough to warrant both of them saying something together.
I hadn't originally designed Luna to be an angry person.

Well, as a leader there's bound to be at least a few times where she'd have to exert some sort of dominance over the flock to keep them in line. I don't view her as angry so much as more willing to resort to a necessary evil if it means protecting both herself and the flock.
I had a Manriki weapon once, and it was incredibly efficient in the RP. Also what's wrong with a Chakram that can control it's own movement through the air?

Well the issue with the chakram is that it may possibly need some sort of limitations to be placed on it if it's capable of moving on its own accord once thrown. It's very likely that those limitations would have to focus on the weapon's range to keep it from just being able to move infinitely once being thrown, otherwise any risk to a meister is now eliminated because they can just make their weapon hover around them once thrown.
I'm sort of looking at Dimitri's potential partnerships based on the potential efficiency. Given Dimitri's preference for weapons, I was debating having him ask Allisa for a partnership if he ever discovers her condition, that is, assuming her sheath can withstand hard impacts. But then Victorique is also an option not only for the sheer size of her weapon form but the fact that she gets lighter with better soul alignment and he can willingly make his attacks heavier means that he might be able to enjoy the speed and mobility of a smaller and lighter sword AND the power behind a much larger sword. A pretty damned good combination if I do say so myself.
That's a problem i've faced many times here man. Honestly I think everyone's dealt with that issue here at one point or another, the only advice I can really give is to either go for it and hope for the best, or see if there's potential for a smoother entry. Both options have the potential to work grandly or fail terribly, but it's the only method I know.
I haven't even been given a chance to jump in

Your time will come, diminutive shinobi! Just be vigilant and go for it when you see a potential opening.

You know, I never though i'd have as much fun playing such a socially inept character as I have with this version of Dimitri. Watching him blunder through social activities and attempt to fix things with painstakingly knitted gifts as he learns how to break out of his shell is going to be a treat.
