Well... that would be my fault, sorry! I've been having some busy weeks, but I'm planning on trying to get back on track with everything this weekend, so I'll try to throw some reparo there!
Sure! Time to start learning some magic!

i notice hatred for Gryffindor ahaha

Well, it is the stereotype, isn't it? Also, Lauren is a slytherin, of course there is Gryffindor hate there hahaha
Sorry! I guess I completely lost this sub. In my mind I was sure I had written my post, but apparently I was lying to myself
The trip to the castle was short enough, at least compared to the train. Soon, most students were going to the Great Hall, everyone sitting at the table. Lauren chose to sit by the corner, wanting to be more sheltered and less surrounded by students. The first day was terribly noisy, the Gryffindors more than anyone else, but everyone felt loud during the first dinner.

As the Headmistress started by welcoming everyone and the selection commenced, everything turned into a parade of little kids going to be selected. Fun, how little they looked, she couldn't even remember if she was that small her own first year. But one figure was taller than the other, a girl that clearly looked like another exchange student. It was really nice that they had these exchanges now, Lauren knew that it wasn't that common before. She even applied to one herself, but didn't get to go.

Soon, the selection seemed finished, and everyone clapped and cheered for their new classmates. Slytherin got a fair share of the firsties, same as the other houses, and Ravenclaw got the exchage student. Everything was nice, and the Headmistress welcomed them again, letting them finally eat their dinner.

Lauren decided to go for something nice, her stomach easily unsttled after the train and carriage travelling. With just some toast and something for her sweet tooth, she ate slowly, checking the other tables absently
Clearly they're secretly in love with each other, that's why despite outwardly showing hate they always sit next to each other

That's the enemies to lovers we deserve!
Lauren shrugged, sharing the feeling that their curriculum wasn't as complete and nice as it could be. "I've seen wandless magic mentioned in some books in the library, so they sure know it exists" she started "I guess it's the same as in muggle schools: they have to keep a low level so everyone can follow. I mean, you've seen how some Hufflepuffs do a Wingardium Leviosa, I wouldn't trust them with more complex magic. But it's unfair for the rest of us" she complained, raising her knees to have her feet on the seat and be more comfortable.

"Unfortunately, no magic people in my family. As far as I know" she answered, shrugging but tensing up a little. All this blood purity thing had been long forgotten, but some people were still annoying with that. Rich and powerful wizarding families in Slytherin in particular. "So I only can work with what we have in Hogwarts. And whatever I do in the future, of course." she smiled a little at the other girl not feeling prepared for Herbology. "Oh, I would worry more about History of magic. That sure is a pain." she joked "If you need help with Herbology, just ask me. I'm not the best at that class by far, but I sure know more than enough to get good grades, so maybe I can help"

The rest of the trip went by more silently, Lauren going back to reading and sighing, tired. She was thankful when the train stopped, finally in Hogsmade, as the sky was starting to get dark. She stood up, stretching, and grabbed little Sky trying not to move her much, she was just napping with her wing covering her head.

She walked outside, getting soon to the carriages, containing a shiver seeing the empty space in front of them. They had studied Thestrals last year and luckily she wasn't able to see them yet, but the pictures had been awfully creepy. And not being able to see the animals made her even more nervous, even if the poor things couldn't do different. She got to a carriage, carefully getting Sky next to her, and resting patiently during the treck up to the castle

Lauren smiled softly, knowing that getting Sky to do something was a great way to get people to open up better. "Oh, no, Sky loves travelling and is more than able to get to sleep herself. But she is easily annoyed, and unfortunately that's one of my hobbies." she joked, trying to scratch her again only to be answered with a hiss. "Okay, okay, I'll leave you alone. So sad"

Lauren frowned, remembering that the assignment wasn't difficult to her at all, but she took far more than a week to finish it. But it wasn't that surprising from the girl that was always first in class. She looked curiously at that necklace, intrigued by the magic, trying to guess how much a pendant like that one would cost and how did it translate. "Oh, wow, that sounds amazing" she said, truthfully. "It's a pity we don't do that at Hogwarts. Unfortunatly I don't know anyone that could teach me, I'm the only with in the family so every wizard I've ever known it's been here" she said, shrugging. Luckily, in her future she would be able to learn more and be far more powerful.

"Hum... That's a hard question." she started responding. "I think I'm ready for school and classes and all. But finishing school... That feels like too much. I'm still thinking what to do after Hogwarts, so I guess it's kind of... stressing, I guess." she finished, sighing. She had a few ideas, some other options her parents were trying to convince her to (getting back to the muggle world, mostly), but she felt like 17 was too young to decide your whole life. "And you? Do you have anything in mind after this year?"

Bridget Josephine McGalley

When the group got to the ship, everyone got together to hear the news. It was quite unexpected, this change of plans, and also too mysterious and dark for her liking. But there must be a reason for that.

"Oh, wow, that sounds..." she whistled in general, surprised, overwhelmed, interested, even a little scared. "Intense, I guess. No better word for it"

In her mind, Bridget was already thinking through all the variables. She was scared of the outcome, of course, part of her upbringing still shining through and some kind of sick respect for the Governor trying to get to her. But part of her was also excited for the ride. She was just the cook, the tales wouldn'd even mention her, but the idea of being that close to a mission as that one... it felt exhilarating. That would be something to remember in the future, something far better than being the wife to someone else and just waiting at home. That meant really doing, far better than sitting still, and something that sounded like a brilliant way to live.

She looked at the other girl for a second, then looking through the window to give her some time to think. At her answer to the question, it was clear that Lauren did hit the bone without even trying. That was good information to have just in case, but there was no need to play mind games while still on the train. Ans it was not a good time to find an enemy, either.

"Oh, God, I'm sorry for your loss" she answered quickly, internally sighing at her own mess. "I didn't want to bother you with a difficult question, sorry for that too"

Luren let the slightly awkward moment steep for just a second, finding the fast change of topic too much of a rude answer to try it. After a few silent moments, she got back to answering the girl. "Mine was... mostly boring, I guess." she started "Did the summer assignments soon enough, and spent most of the summer playing perfect girl for my family and studying." she finished, shrugging. Hearing just the tiniest growl, she added "And with that thing over here, of course. She hates not being taken into consideration" she smiled, trying to scratch her little Sky just to be almost bitten by a bitter owl.
