Lauren looked up as the door open, a familiar girl looking inside. She was Hye-Jin, also known as Chloe, as Lauren still remembered her trying to teach some of her housemates how to pronounce her name. Until she quit completely. The half-Irish knew a few things about the other girl, but mostly that she tended to be quiet and peaceful. Not a bad trait to share her cabin.

Hey there! Sure, come on in!" she said, with a far better smile than the other girl. She could see that the Korean was slightly uncomfortable, probably she would have preferred not to share or to share the space with some of her friends. Well, sorry, should have come earlier.

As the other girl sat inside, Lauren got back to her book, even if now she felt somewhat distracted. Part of her needed to start some conversation, the need to talk over the silence overcoming her easily. She battled with herself, not really wanting to socialize but too used to small talk to really stop it. "So... Ready for the year?" she asked, lamely, before trying to improve it "How was your summer? Got to get back home for a bit?"

Well, I've noticed that it's just us, the slytherins, without a cabin so... you are all invited to join Lauren, she was just early enough
With just enough time to get to the platform, Lauren almost flew around the train station, quickly getting to the place where she'd have to get into the real platform. She was alone, as always, her parents car leaving her outside with just enough time to get on time, no more, no less, no space for mistakes. She took a breath, the need to get through a wall to get to the train always stopping her for a second, part of her mind still not trusting. She counted to 3, and crossed the barrier with all her things.

After the barrier, the platform was pure noise. Sky, her owl, had been half asleep all the trip, but with all the sound had woken up, letting out an annoyed chirp. "Oh, Sky, it's not that bad" she teased the little owl "At least you don't have to be ready to socialize just yet, honey" she complained, lowering her voice. In the middle of the disaster that was the platform, she moved to the head of the train, leaving her things with a muttered Sorry for her pet, and entered as soon as possible.

The ambient inside was far more peaceful, at least for teenagers standards. She walked around for a bit, saying hello to a few of her classmates, playing the perfect girl, trying to keep her image. As soon as she considered she had been seen enough, she moved to one of the cabins, knowing that it couldn't be that full yet. She found an empty cabin just to the back, and sat there, opening her book to make time, Knowing fully well that her friends and housemates will appreciate having a place for them. They were usually late

Lauren Millie Austen

-Full name: Lauren Millie Austen
-House: Slytherin
-Nationality: Half English and Half Irish
-Wand Wood and wand core: Beech wood, phoenix feather, 12 and 3/4
-Favorite class: Potions and Charms
-Patronus: White Swan
-Boggart: A deep, profound darkness that talks to her, but nobody else can hear it. It whispers with different voices, everything a critique or something awful, everything ringing far truer than it shoud

-Pet: Sky, the cutest and most intelligent burrowing owl you'll ever find
-Biography: Lauren has been a hit in Hogwarts since the first moment she started her classes. She was a muggleborn, something quite uncommon in the serpent house, but her well-off family and easy charisma let her play her cards more than right for that place. Coming from an important family that was far more focused on keeping appearences than real love, Lauren's abilities go beyond academic, having the soul of a politician, and more than enough intelligence to make a good career out of herself.

Back at home, before knowing she was a witch, her time was always occupied with something. The best tutors, piano and violin learning, sports training, and more than enough protocol to bore a king. Now that her life was full of magic, her schedule was just as full: less than optimal performance in her classes wouldn't be allowed at home, keeping to the top of the class in most of her courses, Quidditch now taking her sports time, playing as Chaser, and her violin still wrapped in her chest every year. Apart from that, she gets herself into every group or club that raises her attention, her mother's teachings always in her mind: "Make sure to have friends everywhere. Even in Hell"
Finally got some time to get my character sheet together! Let me know if there is something to change or add!

Hello hello! This RP has come into my attention and I'd love to be part of it. I'll have to try and prepare a character, probably tomorrow, but I can say that she'll surely be a Slytherin
something wrong happened?

Oh no, don't worry! It was just some change of plans. Some family member decided to visit last moment, so I just had to be there and play the host. It was nice, just not really what I had planned

"There are few things that travel faster than news" she responded to the man, still catching her breath after having to follow Isabella "And for bad news, that's even faster". The man still staggered, but he clearly didn't look like the type of person that would accept some help. Still, looking both at him and the doctor, she tried.

"Need a hand with those supplies? I already bought everything I needed to cook, so we have some free time" she explained, easily keeping pace with Kenji. "We could have a drink after, if we still have time to get to the tavern" she offered, showing her hand to help with the supplies, and searching for any ally in this fight, just in case. Maybe the cartographer would agree with her, but the doctor still looked somewhat lost, and wasn't really paying attention.

Bridget hadn't really talked with these people yet, being one to usually stay at her little place in the kitchen and not bothering others. But they clearly looked interesting, and like good friends to have. After all, if the China man (not from China) won the battle, he must be good to have as an ally, and it's always good to have a doctor in your corner. You never know what can happen on a ship, and that can be even worse on a pirate ship. Slowly, they made their way to the ship, that looked almost ghostly being that empty. Most of the crew must still be in Nassau, probably in the taverns, making use of their pay.
Sure, sorry! There was a holiday in my country and I was planning to just relax, but... that didn't happen. But I'm back, guys!

Bridget smiled at that response. It was fun to see the other girl slip over to a stronger accent, signalling that the wine was surely getting to affect her. She took a careful sip of her still full mug, trying to hide her amusement. This could be fun. "Oh, you just have to ask. I wouldn't mind some help when on the ship" she said "but good luck getting some free time there.... Before she could finish, two loud men passed next to the girls.

She wasn't really minding what they said, until she heard about the China man and Isabella reacted. She didn't know if that was usual in Nassau, but apparently it wasn't. "Oh, bugger" she muttered, already standing up. "How the hell did he get into trouble so soon?"

In a few seconds, both girls were moving outside the tavern and searching for their crewmate. Luckily, her mind wasn't obscured by the wine yet, and she was able to think fast. Looking back at the day, she remembered something. "Wait, wait" she stopped the other girl, trying to guess where to go "When we left, I'm pretty sure I heard him say that he was going to buy supplies with the doctor. They left the ship after us and, if he was at the match, they couldn't have bought the medical supplies yet, right? We were quite fast buying and we were barely able to drink some wine before we heard that" she reasoned.

Finally getting to the idea, she looked to the market again. "If they didn't have time to buy the supplies, they must be getting there. So not really a doctor, but a medical shop. Do you know where to find that?" she asked the other girl, looking around as if trying to find an answer
