LeeRoy, that would be interesting to watch certainly.

Yog, It's a necessary evil of situation managing but the NPCs only intervene if they are needed. That's why a bunch of them stepped up in the simulation to lend a hand but right now I see that you and VIta can handle it so they won't do very much. I'll have to do a better job of explaining this kind of thing in story and I apologize. Also Rainmaker is definitely a woman.
Briefing Room

The black-garbed hero blinked and said, "Well of course sir. If they didn't know a hostage situation in a simulated urban environment that's in our very building wasn't a simulation, besides the fact that we told them, then they really don't belong anywhere near organized superheroism not even in Detroit." The young man arched his eyebrow at Emphatic and was rapidly beginning to mark him off as senile, "We wouldn't accept anyone who can't control their abilities either. Now the boss is going to notice you sooner or later, so you should really get in there before that happens." More out of a desire to be separated from Emerson then be friendly he pressed a button on his tablet which opened to the training ground inside which was in quite a mess after the explosions and was quite noisy with the sound of bullets and energy attacks being exchanged back and forth, "I'm helping you this one time but please hurry before the boss checks up on us."

The Bank

Syzmon's initial search for Legion would turn up a multitude of references to biblical mythology or popular culture but there were very few results so far for anything resembling what the heroes just stumbled upon. More digging was needed but the only thing Syzmon found was one similar incident a few months ago when a restaurant in Chicago under the control of the Outfit was attacked, many of the mobsters were killed, and the word Legion had burn burned into a wall inside the main dining room. The perpetrators have not been found and it prefaced a whole string of violent assaults on singular mafia footsoldiers or small groups of them in dark alleys and vacant lots, none as dramatic as the initial attack or this more recent incident.

Olympia came back in the building and heard Sonja talking to Volt about dinner. Olympia stood behind Volt, caught Sonja's eye and slightly winked, before she spoke up, "There probably isn't much more to do tonight so you guys should be fine. We just need to give our reports back at the Hall and when Zenith comes back he and the rest of the Founding Council will officially induct you and all the other heroes who made the cut. Then a brief tour of the facilities, some other small stuff, and you'll be left to your own devices for the rest of the day. There's a bunch of nice places around here. Zenith's taken me to some." Olympia said the last with a slight smirk to her voice and sauntered off to the direction of the VTOL.

Rainmaker's Team

Locust shuddered as the gauntlet's hit him in the back and he shrieked enough to cause some ear damage. His exo-skeleton held but there were some cracks in the chitin. He rolled off of Gabriel and his multiple eyes locked on Blast Girl. He slashed several of his claws at her, attempting to take the young heroine's head off of her shoulders or disembowel her.

Pariah's Victims

Ember saw the crows coming and she sent a bout of flame at them with her other hand, causing them to detonate prematurely. She saw that her flame wasn't piercing the shield but she simply raised both hands at the shield. She increased the size and intensity of the sphere of flame around Charlotte's shield. It was getting hotter and hotter by the second. The fire might not break through, but the heat might not be blocked by Charlotte's shield and she might would to sweat in the sphere. A lot, perhaps enough to pass out. At the very least she could no longer see Ember as the flames engulfed her shield.
Clanjos, That might work but you just need to work it into your sheet.

I still want you to do that but in the interest of moving things along since I'm leaving for a few days, Professor Primate is accepted. Just put it in the sheet when you can and you can start working on your first posts.
Briefing Room

The hero that Emmerson was ranting too was one of Pariah's proteges and an observer of the exercise, watching the mission intently on a tablet computer. He blinked and stared at the man and his eyes widened in bewilderment. The young man, who was dressed in a black skin-tight bodysuit coughed and said, "Uh sir, all of the training group went through those doors there and they're doing a mission right now. Simulated hostage situation with armed terrorists and supervillians. Objective is rescue of the hostages in a metro bus, while dealing with all threats non-lethally, inflicting minimal property damage, and minimal casualties on the team. They're almost there but the boss has been putting them through their paces, and it could go either way at this point. They could probably use you."

He exchanged a look with another similarly clothed hero who shrugged, he looked back at Emerson, "Look sir, you really should have already been gone. You probably won't be able to get in the League if you can't even join the exercise. It's through those doors there, but we can't really help you more than we already have without the boss getting pretty pissed. If you can't find your own way in then well..." The solid metal doors led to the training exercise which Emerson would need to perform spectacularly in if he wished to join the League at this point. Doubtless the living jet engine could find a way in.
Huh that post doesn't make me think he'll get on Pariah's good side haha.
I remember being new, we were all there once. For a first-timer it's ok, but there are still some issues. Keep in mind everything I say is not a comment on you personally. I simply want to help you become a better roleplayer and writer.

1. Powers. He seems more like a Metahuman than a Supernatural and as such he can't really imbue or "enchant" his weapons with wind like you say. He can wrap them in fields of air he generates sure but not give them elemental qualities. Also telepathy doesn't really fit his powerset and it should be left out. Regeneration isn't a skill and there should be realistic defined limits, he shouldn't bounce right back after taking direct rounds into the torso.

2. Skills, I need concrete and realistic statistics for his skills and traits. They should be consistent to his skillset. A free-running ninja type may be stronger than he average man but they shouldn't be able to bench-press like a real weight-lifter for example. And seeing as how the Awakening took place five years ago ic, then he shouldn't be a Master swordsman. It takes a very very long time to be truly adept at swordsmanship, usually around a decade or more. And if you also have skill with knives and guns you really have to choose which you would be adept at and be realistic about what you can do with them. Learning any weapon takes dedication and in only five years you're probably going to be much better at one weapon or weapon set than another, especially since learning Parkour is no cake walk either. And I need a good reason why someone would be learning modern combat with guns and knives along with mostly outdated swordsmanship, a lot of the time it's gonna be one or the other, otherwise you're going to have to choose which is emphasized. And then keep in mind that learning ancient combat is kinda unrealistic in most cases, especially since there's no real reason for your character to learn that stuff. Learning how to properly handle throwing knives or tomahawks works much better in most cases and fits better with someone who can be good with guns as well .

3. Resources and Equipment, Your mentor needs a name. He really does. Adoptive father is much too vague. And we need to know exactly what kind of resources he has access too. And we need to know why does he have them. Your mentor shouldn't be an endless bank account for your character to get everything he will ever need either. Your mentor should have realistic operational limits, he shouldn't have access to loads and loads of equipment. Your character can learn and get most of what he needs to get started in humble surroundings. You can always get better gear latter, specially since you have the League. And in this light I really can't sign off on a bullet-proof cloak. That takes either supernatural workings or some kind of highly advanced gadgetry that are pretty unrealistic for you to have. It's ok to start off with humble equipment. Faith went through all kinds of gun-toting guys without bullet-proof clothing.

4. The Katana. I'll try not to rant too much on this one. And this also kinda ties in with number two. But a lot of roleplayers, mostly beginners like yourself, arm their character with a katana when it really makes no sense for them to have it and there's no reason for them to have it besides katana's being "cool". I always get really wary when a character has a katana when there's really no discernible reason for them too. It usually devolves into them becoming a generic and cliche character that tries too hard to be badass. It's kind of strange that a guy from the Midwest should have a Katana, every other character that uses more ancient weaponry uses weaponry that is befitting to their culture and background. Like I said before he probably shouldn't even be trained in traditional weaponry since there's really no reason for it, and if there was then why wouldn't it be sabers or longswords? I'd really rather you just take out the whole sword thing entirely in face of all the issues I've raised in two and this one. You can always be like Connor and dole justice with a nice axe, that's much more grounded.

5. Background. I need a reason for the scar, otherwise it's just a cosmetic feature that lends nothing and seems like it's just there to look cool. And why is Jane included? Why is she important? She needs more detail on exactly why she's important to the character's development. And I want more explanation on why this guy needs to go Vigilante, since the police probably could have handled his father's murder pretty easily. There probably aren't that many low-life criminals with z-tattoos after all. You could just use the incident as some kind of Batman-esque igniting motivation. Also we need much more detail on this mentor, how's he's connected to his seemingly average father, and why he trained Deckard at all along with Deckard's motivation to go hero like I said earlier.

All in all, it's not terrible but it needs some work too. I don't want to discourage you and like I said none of this is a reflection on you. I'm just giving my thoughts on how you can improve your sheet and your roleplaying for the future.
LeeRoy, better late than never as I always say. Besides sleep is god I can't begrudge someone worshiping hehe.

Vita, everything looks good Vita, just be warned these foes don't go down easy *evil cackle*

I might have time to get up one more post before I leave tomorrow if enough people respond.
It looks good, all you need now is a more concrete motivation for him to join the League of Heroes and you're all good to go.
Rainmaker's Team

Unfortunately for Shade, Blast Girl's plan worked perfectly and the Invisible Man barely even knew what was going on before he was slammed into a wall with her crushing weight on him. He reappeared as his power deactivated along with his conscious mind. He slid down the wall and lay limp against it. At this point in time most of the henchmen had been incapacitated as well.

The only one left was Locust. He took the hit from Gabriel and skittered back several feet, with his enemy's sword catching him in his chitinous carapace, lightly piercing it and drawing more fury than pain. Locust ducked under the blaze of heat faster than one would have thought and sliced at Gabriel's belly, scoring more blood. Locust made to tackle the Angelic hero to the floor and once he was pinned there he snapped at his face in a bestial attempt to bite and slash him.

Pariah's Victims

Chrome's forward advance was suddenly halted by Changeling and the man didn't reply as he used his metallic strength to rip Changeling from his shoulders and slam him to the ground with enough force to crack the concrete. He then stomped in the vicinity of the heroe's chest, attempting to knock him out of commission.

Charlotte's crows detonated and the car was blown up in a fairly dramatic explosion. Apogee used the momentary distraction to zoom up and punch Sentinel in the chest making him double over in pain. She inhaled and exhaled her breath in a gale of wind that blew Sentinel through a nearby window and temporarily out of the fight. Then she zoomed at Colossus, dodged a sluggish fist and hit him with a solid hit on the jaw. The giant fell over the brittle net that Extrusion made with his body. Colossus rapidly shrunk and bounced off of the net while Apogee continued to freeze Extrusion and slow him down. She was blocked by Bastion who expanded her shield to cover Extrusion which stopped Apogee's assault cold. Apogee banged on the sphere with hit after hit but Bastion simply stood her ground and the barrier held firm.

Charlotte's diversion allowed Magnetar to slip cover and throw a car at Shocker, who nimbly dodged to the side in a roll. The next car was stopped in mid-air by a ball of electricity that held it in place and settled it to the ground. Magnetar reached into his pockets and flung several small steel balls at Shocker who destroyed them with pinpoint tendrils of lightning. Magnetar was no longer on the defensive but he was making no headway either as the two metahumans countered eachother's attacks. Outside intervention was needed.

Aquamarine and Frost were still out of the fight for a few moments, but the Hydrokinetic had formed a thin razor edge of water and started cutting through the goop. She would be out within the net several seconds. Ember had escaped the foam and saw Charlotte interfere with her magic she snarled and unleashed a torrent of flame in her direction. Many of the henchmen had been knocked out but Bulwark and Adamant pressed their attack and had already knocked out a couple of heroes. They engaged Redeye and Bullseye in a fight that the heroes were losing. Redeye sent beam after beam of energy into Adamant's diamond form which kept reflecting the blasts while Bullseye's arrows mostly bounced off of Bulwark's high durability form. Finally Adamant was temporarily stopped when Redeye melted the street around her feet and Bullseye fired an arrow at Bulwark that ignited into sparks and set him rigid to the floor, but they were only temporary solutions and they both needed help.
Well besides ghosts there are any multitude of spirit beings from all kinds of myth and legend, will-o-the-wisps or spirits of the elements and all those. There are even Spirits of Intellect that are the closest to Humanity in that they have unique personalities while still being ethereal .
