While less ... obnoxious about his current discomfort, Sonitus could relate to Marcus in that respect. When he had been told the sun would bother him, he brushed it off as the usual things people exaggerate. He quickly learned that this was not the case. This was easily the most cruel sun he had experienced in his life, and he could easily feel the sun slowly cooking his skin from the outside in. The main difference between him and Marcus was that he had no interest in any kind of competition. While his counterpart was exhausting himself in some bid to impress the group, Sonitus took a leisurely, yet efficient, pace. It wasn't like he didn't know where they were going. They had already been given instructions, and all it took to complete them was to follow the slope of the hill in an upward direction.
Having fallen a significant distance behind the main group (he stayed within eyesight though), he witnessed the annoying little girl jump around the forest. He had been cautiously watching her, making sure she didn't try and attack him or do anything else foolish. He could tell that she too was observing him, an action he respected. Blindly trusting someone you just met was stupidity of a unique level. Of course, all respect was gone when she went after the beehive.
Increasing his pace, he quickly passed Markus. The boy would be able to see a very slight smirk as he passed. As he continued ahead, quickly approaching the main group, he noted how a large amount of swears came from behind him. He was very appreciative that he was no longer the last in the group.
