<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

*A squiggly blue wisp appears in my hand with a green tornado around it; the tornado comes to a stop and then the wisp dissipates and I raise an eyebrow*

Are you concerned that she would disappear with the storm?
<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

*Nods*

<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

*Tilts my head*

<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

-Maddie- Whaaaaat?

If we can condense the space the storm occupies down to a size small enough for us to contain and transport back into Existence, we can contain it reliably until the storm dissolves, and leaves behind what we are looking for. Without endangering anyone else.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

How so?

<Snipped quote by Nimda>

-Ruby- Looks like Vex might be able to get her, all we have to do is keep her safe next. Can you help do that?

<Snipped quote by whizzball1>

*Grins*

<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

*Points to Ruby and then back at me*

Not on my own. And, of course, feel free to offer up better ideas, but... I say we trap the storm.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

*Jumps and waves several times*

Yes? Have something to share?

<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

You must study me or send me into the storm. I do not mean to be prideful, but my presence may be very fortuitous, as I have borne not one but two new souls, battled and interacted with them with no harm done to either, and freed them both into new bodies. I have a unique touch for souls.

I believe it may be useful for you to be a temporary vessel for her upon extraction, but I also believe it may be possible... Yes, possible to acquire her without going into the storm.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

-Ruby- How can we extract her soul?

*Leans against the terminal*
Pulling something already so elusive as a soul out of anything is already really difficult. I don’t know if we can remove one from a storm such as this.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

-Ruby- Has she become the storm??

No no, nothing like that. I believe that the storm has torn her body to shreds and left no trace, but for some reason has trapped her very soul within. Perhaps a horrible fate, but should rescue be possible, a blessing in disguise. I’m not even sure a soul would survive traversal to an afterlife through the Outside, so she could have been doomed to nonexistence.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

-Ruby- Whaaaat?
-I have room to temporarily house a consciousness, as both Spectre and Wraith have separated from me completely. I only offer this as an option if it becomes necessary.

There’s a bit more to it than that, I feel. Assuming my readings have been entirely accurate until now, I believe I have a theory as to Violet’s fate.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

-Ruby- *Leans over to look at it*

The scans deny any signs of life being present, but-
*Points to the affirmative reading*
It reads the presence of consciousness.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

-Ruby- Should they call her?

No, not in what I included. It was a number of scanners, and I rigged it up to kind of cheat the unpredictability of getting readings in the storm. At least hopefully. The fact that results are returning at all is good, but-
*One singular reading changes to affirmative and I stop and look at it silently*
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

-Maddie- Got it! *We rise smoothly through the hatch and come outside, keeping velocity with the ship*
-I’ll accelerate us with the ship and maintain the bolt and its link to the ship. Please prepare to make any steadying movements needed for either the device or our persons.
-Maddie- Got you!
-*We manoeuvre the device to the edge of the storm and fire it*

That is perfect.
*Pulls up a series of displays onto the same large monitor in the passenger/cargo area and watches as they continue to return negative results*
But it doesn’t seem to matter much...
