Spoiler: Oceans are way more boring.

To you.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

And oceans are better?

You get a sense of dread that gets the blood pumping in an ocean. Tundras and deserts are just uncomfortable.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

Tundras are also cool if you can find anyone. Visibility is usually pretty bad though.

That sounds worse than deserts.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

There are other ways for stuff to get around. Family secrets, wanderers from these unknown societies, disasters, etc.

Fair enough.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

*Shrugs*
Probably some dude who wanders into it and everyone calls him crazy for the rest of his life.

See, there we go. That’s the avenue I’m thinking. You’d be pretty nuts to adventure randomly in a desert.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

It's also awesome to track down any rumors around sketchy stuff. You can find tons of cool things that way.

Makes me wonder what kind of fools get the info randomly that starts rumors like that.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

*Shrugs*
It's not for everyone, but it works. That's how I found the dudes that portal lead to.

Fair enough. If it works, it works.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

This was never your choice, it was mine to make.

It should have been Shinji’s. You’re just a jerk.

<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

That's a pretty generalized view of deserts. I've seen deserts full of plants with roots embedded deep into the solid rock of the underground. Deserts with lively civilizations that thrive while surrounded by lifeless sand. Deserts that would make you stop and say "Woah. That's cool."

There’s just nothing most everywhere in them. I don’t feel the struggle is worth whatever discovery there is.
<Snipped quote by Stabby>

*nods, and move towards shinji*

Shinji: *begins to look really nervous*

-: This is going to hurt. a lot.

*thrusts my hand through shinji's skull, but it warps through, reaching into shinjis mind*

Shinji: GAH, FUCK!

*grabs at his head, almost clawing at it*

So much for free will. Y’all suck.
<Snipped quote by Multifarious>

Not the good ones. All adventurers know that the harder something is to get to, the cooler it's gonna be.

But nobody makes anything out in deserts, and stuff barely lives in them.
