Powers:

Cortez is an intelligible strategist and the one and only captain of the lost pirate ship, the Screaming Pearl. She excels in most fields of knowledge- from simple History lessons to combative positioning- and an exceptional marksman. The captain has a certain charisma of a leader that she herself is not even aware of, and she always tries to prepare for any plans required when times call for them.

Eagle Eye - Cortez has an extremely observant eye- more specifically, her left one-, which is actually enchanted by her adoptive father. Her eye is able to decode foreign languages and unknown relics, usually winding her up to setting sail to random treasure islands. This eye also has an enhanced field of vision, allowing her to watch the left side of her back with no effort.

Purify! Bullets of Cleansing! - Cortez carries around a pouch full of enchanted bullets. These bullets actually dissipates into thin air when a wound makes physical contact to it. The instant moment they disappear, a healing effect begins to take place on the wound, albeit quite slowly depending on the size of the injury. Cortez dedicates some of her time in enchanting some of her regular ammunition to resupply her strange choice of secondary ammunition using a spell book she found in one of her scavenge hunts.

The Bullets of Cleansing can be used offensively on undead creatures.

Come To Me! Screaming Pearl! - Cortez chants a fabled curse, letting the fallen pirate ship, the Screaming Pearl, emerge from a nearby water source large enough to hold in the ship. The undead pirate ship and its crew follow her orders, though they do so in a somewhat carefree and annoying manner. Despite their arrogance in following random orders their captain spouts out, should she get a devastating wound, the crew immediately gets serious and become a deadly force to be reckoned with, vowing to slay those who harm their captain. When any crew member is defeated, the defeated pirate immediately bursts into a glowing soul orb, and its soul is sent back to the pirate ship (they reappear in approximately thirty minutes). There are twelve crewmen in total as of now.

Partner Up! - Cortez is efficient in working by herself, but she is even better at completing tasks when doing them with a partner. Her tentative will to hear what her partner has to say is enough for her to acknowledge their words. She only disagrees with something a partner comes up with when it sounds absolutely outrageous for her ears. This particular trait of her comes into play whenever there is a person she is familiar with at her location.

Weaknesses:

While Cortez is a great strategist, she needs ample time to understand something she does not understand or has never seen before. Her body is also relatively frail, despite being flexible and speedy. She has absolutely no defense mechanisms against attacks involving magic, solely relying on dodging or deflecting attacks with her saber. Cortez is not as powerful with the sword as she is with her pistol, and her somewhat stubborn side could hit a nerve or two.

Personality: One simple way to summarize her personality is to say that she is outdated. The girl never seems to leave her habit of talking like a pirate unless she is extremely embarrassed or flushed by something. She is incredibly easy to talk to, though somewhat gullible, and she takes some pride in her status as a pirate captain. Cortez also enjoys playing matchmaker, though some of the methods she thinks of are rusty due to her isolated life with her Youtube-Poop-loving undead crewmates.

When Cortez is embarrassed, she begins to walk and stand on tip-toes. When she's really embarrassed, she bleeds a waterfall out of her nose and makes a run for it.

Background: Unrevealed. It is known that her adoptive father is the former undead pirate captain, Hernandes Cortez, and her crewmates tend to have Youtube Poop marathons. Her parents disappeared the same day she was adopted by Cortez, though no information was able to be found after that.

^ This. Constructive feedback is what tends to shape my characters correctly, so everyone shouldn't be afraid to give feedback! Also, you're not being rude at all. I've seen incredibly serious GMs, so it's good for a change to have such a lenient GM for once!

For some reason, MangaFox licensed nearly everything here. ;_;???? I was forced to stop using it a few months ago.

And some manga recommendations are definitely appreciated! I haven't been reading them that much because... I dunno, nothing really caught my interest, I guess, and that MangaFox going ham on me with the licensing. One-Punch Man has me hooked right at the moment (OP guy who cares about groceries more than fighting lol), but other than that, I literally know nothing among new, big hits atm.
