Bart gave Gil a look of surprise when he seemed to imply that humans might not have built the pyramids, and gave a surprised laugh, not exactly having words to respond. He would have pressured The Hat a bit more, if Miss Andonova hadn't started speaking. His head started to spin when she said she was from the 1800's, and was apparently beheaded. Yikes. This wasn't the most extraordinary thing he'd heard today, but it was up there. He heard the confusion in her voice at his mention of his modern amenities, and inhaled as he considered how he should respond. It seemed, ever so briefly, that the tables had turned, and he was in the position of having information somebody didn't have. He would have explained in any other situation, but she mentioned something he didn't have any idea about. "What do you mean by Soulless infested?" He asked confused. His knowledge of Russian History wasn't the best, but he'd never even heard of anything like that. He also tacked on, "And um, Early 2000's by the way, All those things I mentioned are from my time period."

God that felt weird, he'd never even considered what it would be like to add his home time to an introduction. That was the type of thing he'd think a time traveler would need to do, which, he supposed, he technically was now. He pondered this thought, as an incapacitated Sophia was carried in by a man he hadn't yet met. "Hey hey hey." He said standing up quickly, and heading over to her. "The heck happened to you?" He asked quietly, mostly to himself, as Sophia started to stand and start tearing the room apart. "Woah, hey. Hey there, slow your roll a little, okay?." He said, grabbing her hand gently, and giving her a little tug. "You look like you should sit and reorient yourself. Let us get you anything you need." He said, giving an expectant look over at Alexandra, hoping she'd agree to help.
First draft, I'll get a backstory up tomorrow. Wanna make sure the abilities look okay before I dive into this character.
  • Name: Martha Waters
  • Age: 16
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Martha has light skin, with brown eyes. She stands at around 5'7". but is more inclined to slouch and lose a couple inches. Her hair is silky, short, and colored a bright blonde, going only to around her ears. She has a pair of red framed glasses she wears, along with a similarly colored bow in her hair. She dresses in casual attire, mostly denim skirts and tank tops make up her day wear. She has a slim, nonthreatening build, and her demeanor might make some think a stiff breeze might blow her over.
  • Personality: Harriet is a clever girl, mature beyond her years. She always thinks before she speaks, and is constantly thinking about how to advance whatever goal she may be currently working towards. Many an enemy have found themselves defeated before even having a chance to strike, not because Harriet is faster or stronger than them, but rather because she spends considerable time watching and stalking her prey, before setting a trap to deal with them swiftly. As a magical girl, she strives to end any confrontation in one strike, before the enemy even knows she's there. When living her normal life, she spends her time in school quietly, listening to her friend and schoolmates talk and tries to hone in on potential threats that may have arrived in her city. She views herself as a kind and compassionate person, thinking of her work as a kind of public service, keeping the innocent people round her safe from harm they can't themselves fight. At the same time, she can come off as lazy at time, her waiting and thought coming off with a kind of casual relaxation that might make an observe think she isn't as dedicated as she is.
  • Skills: Knots, deduction, memorization.
  • Brief Backstory:

    • Magical Girl Appearance:As a magical Girl, Martha's clothes take a shift to become more simple and freeing. She becomes adorned in a pure white robe, with a black undershirt and shorts below. The rob extends down to her knees, leaving her bare legs clear to see. She has formal black shoes on her feet, with white socks going up to an inch above the heel. The bow that was previously in her hair transforms into a spindle with a seemingly never ending amount of thread, which places itself neatly on the side of her waist. Lastly, her hair changes color to be a dirty blonde.
    • Concept: Patience
    • Archetype: Arachne's Spool
    • Abilities:
  • Patience's Virtue: Her perspective of time scales with how fast she's moving. If she's standing still, time goes to a crawl, giving her time to think and plan out her actions, and scales up to the point of her walking, at which point time takes it's normal flow.
  • Danger Sense: When a potential threat either to Martha or others is about to occur, normally within the radius of a couple city blocks, Martha gets a mental ping, warning her and letting her know to either keep her guard up or rush off to help those in need.
  • Laying in wait: The spindle on Matha's side can be used to set traps for her enemies. She can set points for the thread to lay at as she moves around, until she wills in to disconnect from her spindle and tighten around the next target to come in contact with it. While she's setting it, the thread is virtually invisible to anybody who doesn't know to look for it. When disconnected, the resulting web is taught in the air, and is a light reflective white color. The web has the tensile strength of Spider Silk, and can tighten as much as Martha desires.
To be clear, will we be starting with our archtypes?
Also, do we have the typical increased speed, strength, and durability?
Will probably have a draft up tonight

Adalene nodded at Sarah, and took out her phone, and dictated out her number to her. Afterwards, she slipped it back into her pocket and said, "I'll be sure to text you tomorrow to make sure, see you then!" Before waving Sarah off, and closing the door behind her. Adalene smiled to herself, happy about being able to find a shred of normality in her current life. Just because her hands could burst into flames at any moment didn't mean she couldn't also have friends and a social life. In truth, she hadn't really seen much of anybody since she burned her friends apartment to the ground. A part of her was worried about hurting anybody, but she was determined beyond belief to not let that happen. She relocked her door, and walked over into her bedroom to fetch her day planner.

She stepped into her bedroom, and opened up her bedside drawer. Within laid her day planner, a few pens and pencils, and a backup planner. She took out out her current one, and made a note to have dinner with Sarah tomorrow, along with a few other items while she was in there. She reserved a few hours for her to try to find a place where she could practice her powers without risking a house fire, and also some time to research the murder she'd heard about earlier. Satisfied with her plans, she tucked it away back into her drawer, and laid back on her bed for a moment. She still had no idea how that girl managed to pop out of existence, or how she just appeared in her house, or even who she even was. This all rubbed Adalene the wrong way, and she intended to figure out what the hell was going on as soon as possible.
I can probably do that. I've been wanting a Magical Girl game for awhile.
2-3 paragraphs a post?
Hey, how long do you anticipate this RP to last, and what kind of post commitment do you want?

Bart locked eyes with Gil as he said his name and paused for a few seconds. While he'd liked to say he didn't feel intimidated by Gil, he also didn't like to lie. The tension was broken a moment later, when Gilbert broke out into laughter. Bart sighed in relief at this, and almost missed Gilbert's response as his mind settled itself. His ears perked up a bit at the mention of powers having downsides, reminding him a bit of the idea of a karmic balance. "So she's basically Storm." Bart said, a look of disbelief and consideration on his face. "That's... astounding." He remarked, not really having words for how to react. He was simply amazed, sure, he'd seen The Hat transform earlier, and he knew something like this would happen to each of them according to Eve, but it felt unreal.

He took a breath, and resumed listening to Gilbert explain that he had a a kind of omniscience about humanity. The hairs on the back of Bart's neck rose at that. That meant he, and nobody, really had any secrets here. It also meant he could probably ask Gilbert might have answers to the great mysteries of mankind. "So... You know who really build the pyramids?" Bart asked jokingly. He'd have to get to know Gil better, finding himself fundamentally interested in what he might have to say. Bart nodded at The Hat, and returned to his seat, more than willing to wait and take some time to ask a few more questions. Bart helped himself to another slice of bread, and looked over at Alexandra. He heard more than a touch of what he assumed was Russian in her voice. "So Alexandra right? Where about's are you from? I'm from California myself." He said.

There was one last burning question in him, besides of course the nature of whatever his upcoming abilities may be. He'd heard, several times now, the other group referred to as the "Undead Georgia Group". He briefly turned away from Alexandra, and looked back towards the porch, wondering what that could ever mean. He'd add that to the ever growing list of questions to ask. He turned his attention back to Alexandra, and flashed a smile, "Gotta say, it's a much different place than 1940's Louisiana. God, I'm gonna miss the internet. And cell phones. And just about everything." He gave a nervous laugh, trying to play his actual anxiety about no longer having the wonderful amenity's of his home time off as a kind of lighthearted thing.

Adalene gave a smile to the girl, and said, "Oh I get that, school starts for me next week, and the workload gets pretty heavy. I stay on top of it well though." She then gave her a measured look, contemplating on if she'd join her for food or not. She'd already planned dinner for tonight, but pizza was tempting, and was almost certainly better than anything she could cook. "I.. I don't know." She said uncertainly. Adalene ended up shaking her head. "I have some pork I need to get rid of, but I'd love to do something some other time!" She said, giving a awkward smile, "What're you doing tomorrow night?" She asked, walking away from the pantry, and pulling out her phone.

She did a quick scroll into her calendar, and confirmed she was indeed free tomorrow night, "I don't have anything planned yet, so that'd work out pretty well for me." It was at this point that Adalene face palmed, and slipped her phone back into her pocket. "I just realized, we're making plans and I don't even know your name." She said with a laugh, "And I don't think I've given you mine. Adalene." She said, "Adalene Jones. And you are?" She asked. She didn't make a habit of getting to know her neighbors, not because she didn't like people, she just was normally far too busy with her life already. One more friend was never a bad thing though.
