Roleplaying involves a commitment to others. And if you cannot keep that commitment I'd ask you to be honest with youself and just say so. It's by far the least painful way of leaving an rp.

A robed horseman rode steadfastly through the frozen landscape, clothed in a warm if somewhat unsightly fur coat. Adrian thought back to how he had come upon this road. Of the thirty and one ducats he had been granted as salary. They had served him and his family well. His father was a keen investor, and with the riches brought home by his son, he had turned their miserably little farmhouse into a respectable estate. Sometimes adrian pondered the people that now worked for them... How many of them could have been mistaken for him just two and a half years ago.

Now though, that was all a memory, of the original lump of money, a single coin remained. A most curious coin at that. Adrian had kept the coin by his bed as a keepsake of sorts. Ever since, he had been visited regularly by prophetic dreams. Unclear and scattered at first, a pattern soon emerged. There was always a river, a cave, and a fearsome dark place. What it meant became clear when adrian discussed the matter with the local chaplain. He told him an old story, of coins minted by the gods leading to a veritable gauntlet, of the few chosen by the gods called to this challange... And of those brave and valorous enough to survive becoming the equals of gods in power as well as name.

He had mulled the matter over many times. He had corresponded with his lords and his fellow cavaliers. And they had given their blessing ofr the endeavour. He had been informed his family would be cared for in the event he failed. He had left his escort behind in the last town before the approach towards the gates. They would not be accomapnying him on this journey.

And like that, he too entered the cave. There were others already there, a robed figure with a certain power to it. And an infamous character he had heard about all too well. "So... the collector was called on this endeavour too then?" Adrian sighed. If all of his companions on this quest would be people of this caliber, he was gonna have quite a hell of a time.
I am fine with creating another character, I need to dump my ideas somewhere, no? (Also, all those who voiced complains about him being a ripoff of the Grim Reaper, he is inspired by another character of mine who once met the GR, Great Righteous, and was killing for him)

my friend, we critisized you because there's already a character in this rp that's basically your character concept hook line and sinker.
@The Grey Dust
Well let's see... My main complaint would be that this character is utterly redundant with an already existing and accepted character in this rp... both in powers and in seemingly intended tone of. Pardon my blunt way of putting it... nihilistic edgelord.
Zeeman was simply reviewing the contents of the hold. Five tins of meat. A basket of fresh fungus bought on a whim, several barrels of coal. Forty complete packets of ships biscuit, all without a single crack or blemish on them. The captain picked up one pack to marvel at the good state he had kept it in ever since he had purchased it. So pristine and perfect and...

"captain" A voice rang out, *crack* the biscuit went. Broken by startled hands. The captain looked at the ruined piece of baked goods in his hand. He vaguely heard something about engines being ready by the same voice that had snuck up on him. "Err... yes, start the engines my man... We sail to Venderbight. Now... If you'll excuse me."

Zeeman calmly stepped away from the engineer. He would have to talk to the fellow about not startling him like that in the future. the rest of the ship seemed to be in order as well. There was that interesting navy officer from earlier, fiddling about with the just barely scrapworthy deck gun. And the good doctor was unpacking his personal effects as well. It seemed the man had become acquantanced with the ship's 'peculiarities'

He strolled over to the ship's rudder. Already, he could hear the rhytmic music of a steamer's engine starting. He unwrapped the packet of biscuits. They were broken, but it wuld be such a shame to simply discard them. As the steamer sailed out of the familiar embrace of wolfstack docks, Zeeman spotted a group of Musicians rehearsing a spot of music on the shore. He then looked onwards to the zee. The moment the ship reached open zee, he started steering it northwards without even a hint of doubt. Of course, most people living in london had a vague idea of venderbight's location. North of london. He took a bite from the biscuit, chewing rather heartily on the dry, tasteless food. He had a good feeling about the journey ahead.
@The Grey Dust I do, after reading through it, it still felt like a lazy character copy-pasted together by someone with no interest in actually making anything new.
The sue is still strong.
Ah, no problem man, consider yourself still invited if you were to ever see an oppurtunity to get back. @BeastofDestiny

@Zendrelax@Chairman Stein I'll be giving you all until the end of the weekend to make a post, if this is too fast for your liking, feel free to make this known to me.
The question is about the shadow daggers. Do you believe they could penetrate dragon scales and/or dragon wing webs?

I quite believe the shadow daggers can penetrate dragonscale. I mean, I established their sharpness by having one of the daggers pierce all the way through a concrete wall, and all of the other daggers are similiarly sharp.
@Zendrelax@SomeChap@Chairman Stein my good people, we are commited, do not fret about the formulaic start, it is all part of a greater plan.

@BeastofDestiny simply notify me when you are ready, we can retroactively assume you were embarked on the ship but simply didn't feel like talking up until that point.
