Could you reply to me? Sorry, Lance!

Okay, I will. ^^ He can meet up with us afterwards anyway. :)
@White Feather

Should I reply to your post? Or do you prefer to meet with Lance?
@Neko Sensei
Uh well, I'm leaving in about two hours; I'll be back in probably eight hours. It's like 2pm here right now

I see... It's 8pm here, so I'll probably be asleep when you come back. I'll reply to you in the morning then. ^^
@ViolentViolet

Okay~
But, just wondering, when exactly is night for you? Because here it will get dark in a couple of hours. xD
@Neko Sensei Generally in RPGuild, you read all the posts. It's not super duper hard, just a bit more time consuming, I believe. Honestly I've never been in an RP where you don't read all the posts. More than one thread does sound like a useful feature though. Maybe we could set up a quick Google Doc that contains every characters' current location? Or we could just wing it and try to remember? Start each post with the current location stated?

Ah, it's fine. Now I see how to do it. ^^ Writing the character's name and location at the beginning of every post is enough.
Hehe, okay, I'll read it all! xD But yes, I've been in a couple of rps in which you really didn't need to read everything. Like, some romance groups and such, in which you actually wouldn't care about everybody's actions, since your characters might not have too many chances of meeting, unless that person is your partner. In those cases multiple threads were really useful.

@Neko Sensei

Am I being summon My Lord?

Maybe~❤

I'm actually just waiting for someone to come, not necessarily you. xD But if you want, you can come. :3
Alastor Daeva
Dark Lord's Castle

It was late already. The servants put off the candles as they retreated, leaving the castle in an almost absolute darkness. No sound could be heard, other than the storm raging outside.

He should retreat as well. But he, the Master of the castle, wouldn't leave his study before one of his guards came to give him an exhaustive report of all the events of the day. He wouldn't be able to rest until he knew the exact position of the enemy army, and until he had made sure that all his soldiers were ready for any possible attack. If anything were to happen, it definitely wouldn't catch him unguarded. The Lord liked to be in control of every situation. Nothing stressed him more than not being able to predict was going to happen next. He needed to know everybody else's position and next move. Even in his own castle, everything had its order, everything responded to a certain logic. Nothing was there without a reason.

A lightning illuminated the sky, and two big dogs barked fiercely until their Master ordered them to calm down. Then they just lay at his feet, still growling at the smallest noise. They would protect their Master. They were loyal only to him. And he valued that. Alastor didn't have many people who would give their lives for him or for his ideals. Many of his followers only yearned for what he could offer them; the prize of the victory. Women, wealth, power... But he didn't care. He had a goal to fulfill, and those of a weak will were nothing but pawns to be sacrificed. Though he wouldn't betray those he trusted. But all that didn't matter right now. He was too tired to think about such things, he just wanted to retreat to his chamber already.

The man got up from his seat and walked around the room while he waited for someone to show up. He was growing impatient, and it was better not to make the Master wait.
@ViolentViolet Now that I think about it... I've never been in an rp with just one IC thread for several people. :s
How will I know when a character is in the same place as me? Do I need to read all the posts? I mean, in MF we just had to read the posts in the thread we were in at that moment, but with just one thread how will we change locations? I find it a bit confusing.
@Gin Hey, I won't be writing long posts either. In fact, I quite hope that this rp won't be of such a high level. xD I don't think you'll bring anyone down, really. ^^
Violet is a bit strict with the character creation, but is actually pretty indulgent with other aspects of the rp, including writing style and such. ^^

Name: Alastor Daeva

Age: Unknown

Gender: Male ♂

Race: Demon

Side: The other side - Overlord

Weapons(s): A longsword (Very original, I know. -_-")

Abilities/Powers:

Darkness manipulation - Can make all light disappear around him leaving a small area in absolute darkness.
He can also make shadows turn into solid matter to create objects such as chains or small weapons, or make it burn into dark flames.

Dark healing - Only if you're at the verge of dead, he can give you his blood to save you, though the price to pay is that you'll loose your humanity and become a demon bound to him.

Talent(s):

Born leader - He has a natural ability to guide others towards his goals. He's not manipulative or deceiving, he's just good at commanding, although he can act a bit bossy sometimes but, well, he's the Overlord after all.

Handling weapons - Coming from a military family, he was trained in swordsmanship since a very young age, and therefore he's very skilled in the use of weapons. He's proud to be a war Lord, and is always at the head of his army. He isn't one to let his underlings fight in his place.

Good with animals - He likes animals and enjoys training them. He has two obedient dogs and a pet dragon guarding his palace, and he loves them.

Personality:

》》》 ▐ CALM ▐ PRIDEFUL ▐ MYSTERIOUS ▐ NAIVE ▐ CONFIDENT ▐ AMBITIOUS ▐

To say that Alastor is of a very calm nature isn’t enough. He’s totally nonchalant to almost any matter, to the point of looking uninterested or simply very cold or impassive, although he isn’t really like that on the inside. He’s just very bad at expressing his feelings. That’s why he avoids getting to friendly with anyone, and prefers to keep himself away from people unless it is for business. If that’s the case, he acts politely and gentlemanly.

Because of his lack of empathy and difficulty on recognizing other people’s feelings, he had never been in a relationship. When it comes to anything related to love or lust he’s as naïve as a little kid. Ambitious as he is, he devoted himself to hard work, never giving others a chance to approach. And those who tried always got bluntly rejected.

But, as long as it isn’t anything related to feelings, he’s always overconfident. He tends to think that he’s the best at everything and there’s nothing he cannot do, although his previous failures prove the opposite. Since a very young age, he has been obsessed with power and prestige, and he learned with time to do whatever it takes to get it. He won’t forgive anyone who humiliates him, and won’t have mercy of those who dare to get in his way.

Biography:

Alastor was the only son of a prestigious military family, and he was expected to succeed his father in his duty. Since a very young age, Alastor showed a very good attitude towards learning, and was always eager to master new skills, which made his parents proud. He was very ambitious, and always tried to reach for the highest goals, even if that meant failing more than once.
By the time he became a commander, rumors of a war approaching were spreading through the kingdom already, and for him, who had always wished for a true position of power, was a chance to overthrow the real king. It wasn't difficult to gain allies; those whose hearts were filled with jealously and hatred were easy to manipulate, just promising them power and revenge. but those with weak wills were the first ones to fall, and the uprising was suppressed. The young Lord had to leave the kingdom, followed by his most trusted advisors but, after the humiliation of defeat, his yearn for revenge grew. He, who had demon blood running through his veins, wouldn't hesitate to rely on forbidden arts to defeat his enemies. He would rise an army of the Death and bring destruction towards the Trance kingdom, to rebuild it as a whole new empire, with him as the rightful king.
Hey, this question has just popped into my mind; how do you all expect my character to act? Because it seems that everybody is taking this like a Good vs Evil kind of fight, when I actually saw it more like Trance Kingdom vs The Other Kingdom (whatever it is called). This is important, because it can happen that you aren't a good guy even if you serve the king.

I'm asking this because maybe my Al isn't exactly the kind of dark Lord that you may be expecting. He's not some blood-thirsty beast or depraved dictator, but more like an ambitious man that's not afraid of bloodshed to reach his ideals. I was wondering if I should change that.
