An RP done entirely in Latin would be amazing

About Me:
I started roleplaying around age 12, giving me about 11 years experience. I'm a hobby writer who makes subpar fantasy and sci-fi novels on the side and have dabbled in the world of light novels to give my drawing skills a bit of practice. I'm by no means a professional or even really a 'good' writer, but I do try my hardest. Unfortunately, I am a very busy person so I often simply don't have the time to put the level of quality revision and editing into my posts that I'd like. That said, I am committed to creating the best experience for my fellow roleplayers when I join their RPs. I am a busy person, however, so know that I may drop an RP if I become unable to devote any more significant time into it.

I mostly take part in Fantasy RPs and Nation RPs. While I enjoy romance side plots in other RPS I do, I generally don't do Romance focused RPs except on occasions. I am okay to do Romance RPs on 1x1, however, note that I usually have to be in a particular mood for these RPs so I am not always up for doing them. For this reason, when I want to do such roleplay, I seek out a partner myself. I am fine with writing mature/18+ scenes, however, I typically find them boring and uninteresting to write (sorry, I'm not much of an erotica writer). As stated above, I am LGBT and Trans friendly, so LGBT Romance subplots and RPs are totally fine by me.

In terms of characters, I'm most likely to roleplay women, as I am one, though I can roleplay any gender. I enjoy exploring the characters and fleshing them out as they grow in the setting.

I am often told that I can come off as rude, and while I like to play it up a bit and be something of a tsundere, and I am trying to work on it, but please note that I am not much of a social person, even on the online realm, and I may take a while to respond to messages or not give you a very detailed response. Feel free to message me for purposes related to the RPs we are mutually a part of, though. I love to discuss things concerning the games to give them a more interconnected and realistic feeling.

As stated above, I have dyslexia, and it can be a pain in the ass sometimes. Don't be afraid to point out mistakes in my writing, I have a tendency to misspell, and I want to be made aware if it's particularly bad. I also speak a variety of languages, and if you are interested in RPing in a language other than English, I am more than happy to do so. Check out my Langauge Competencies list to see what I am capable of using.

My interests are High Fantasy, Historical Fiction, Nation Games, Alternate History, and Video Games. I'm not crazy about Anime, but I watch a few here and there, but I'm hardly the person to go on a long discussion on Anime about (I don't really see it as much different than any other animation, sorry.), same with Manga. However, don't go all weeb on me, I'm part-Japanese sansei myself, so obsession with and fetishization of Japan and Japanese people annoys the shit out of me and if you do it I will likely have a few strong words to say to you before I block you. No, I don't care if you're also Japanese. In that case, you're not a weeb, you're just a dime-a-dozen nationalist and that's even worse in my eyes.

Anyway, I hope to have some enjoyable RPs with you all. Let's have some fun.

Explorers in Society Territory
@Shoggothought

"Who could have thought such a disgusting landscape could exist", one of the explorers remarked as he and his comrades disembarked from the river. They were a ways away, with 2 of their fellow explorers staying behind at a fork in the River to establish a trading post; soon they would be reunited, and after taking their share, of whatever goods they could secure. Within the next few days, a trade route would be created, and shipments would be off to the Lotus Colony and from there, to the Arsur.

The landscape was, at its most basic, similar to the coastlines of the Arsur, dry, and grassy. Though this grass was not as robust as the papyrus reeds that sprouted up along the Arsur. The patters of the sand dunes seemed strangely unnatural, formenting dislike and near disgust among the explorers for the sand patterns and the rock formations. After a long trek, the explorers had become tired, and considered sitting down and resting; that was until the explorers were approached by what appeared to be diminutive humanoids with their heads encased in spheres. All attempts to speak with them was met with silence. When the creatures began motioning for them to follow, the Arsuron explorers followed, and after a day of long trekking, they were met in a bizarre settlement. The tired explorers then soon decided to try and communicate though the use of their abugida, drawing pictures and the words underneath or drawing a word and then acting out or pointing to its meaning. When both parties were able to communicate through a mix of the Anrethi Abugida and pictures, they answered the question. They drew in the sand, a scentence of words and pictures that translated to
"We are exporers from a far off land at the end of the river. We want to trade." The leader of the four motioned for another to open his bag, which he did so and scattered an example of their wares in the sand, with the question of what the will give for these things.

The Arsuron were trading their famous Red Dye, blood red colored wood, salt dried fish, watermelon, and a few of the green and brown malleable stones that were discovered in their seas. The Arsuron also took a look around, seeing the Illis being put to manual labor. Then they wrote something else in the sand

"what is the cost for one of them?"

Explorers in Soruli Territory
@Diehard243

It was not long before the explorers had come across shows of civilization. While passing through the rainforest, hit one of the canoes, cutting a hole into it. As the boat was dragged out onto the river's coast, bark was cut from one of the trees and placed over the hole, using bone pins hammered in to fix the hole. While repairing the damage, one of the Arsuron caught sight of something moving in the forests. The figure appeared to be some kind of owl, though larger. The curious explorers followed after the creature, hoping to get a better look. The Arsuron tracked and followed the creature, not sure if they would notice them or not.

Arsur Coastline

Progress was slow with the stone, at most they were able to forge blades by grinding the edges of a flattened piece of the stone at an angle against a more granulated stone, but they were at the moment very soft, and while able to cut, they dulled out easily. The flattened pieces were found to bend, and as such, it was determined that if they could be made into a thin spike, they would be useful for spearing fish. That being said, copper was of interest, and fishers were instructed to go to the seabed and collect as many ore as they could find to bring back. Lotus Tribe was given copper ore as well in trade.

Name - Manuhakh

Flag - The Emperor has his own flag, this is the one used when the Shogunate must represent itself as a whole to the rest of the world. It is as follows.

Capital -

Other Major Settlements -

Population - 6,500,000
Races -

Culture - The culture of Manuhakh shows a rich blend of Mainland Orcish and Oni traditions. At the foundation of the society is the hierarchy, at the top is the Emperor, at the bottom the serfs. The agricultural way of life dominates to this day, farming primarily barley, millet, and corn introduced in prehistory from the mainland and traditional oni rice native to the islands. All military matters are handled by the warrior class, a concept borrowed by the Oni. However, do not believe that the people of Manuhakh are peaceful. They are every bit as aggressive as their ancestors. The warrior god Orek, known to the Northern Orcs of the mountains as Wuleg, remains popular among all people, as does the traditional methods of forging.

Among the warrior class of Manuhakh, there is a tradition of literary and musical excellence. Men and Women of this class are expected to be highly educated, and to adhere to a traditional code of honor that derives from the Orcish Warrior's code and the Oni's Way of the Warrior. Many warriors in can be found educating themselves in the classics of literature and science, practicing their musical instruments or painting when not engaged in battle. Also unique to these warriors is their religious practices. While the peasantry may simply offer gifts at a shrine once in a while or pray for a good harvest, the warriors take an approach to know the gods and learn from them. Warriors will go into deep meditative states for hours on end and engage in ritual prayer several times a day. The call primarily upon the war gods Oruk, the god of War Strategy (Wuleg on the Mainland) and Krom, the god of Might in war.(Gruumsh on the mainland)

The Pantheon of the Manuhakh contains a mix of native orc deities and those coming from the Oni and Snow Elves. Orek reigns supreme as the national deity, while farmers may take Ahret, the fertility goddess, as their patron, or Krom among the warrior class.

Crimes - Crime appears to be low on paper, however this is not due to lack of violence but rather a result of the fact that violent behavior towards ones lower class men is not criminalized, but rather encouraged. The usual menagerie of crime occurs in Manuhakh, with Murder, Assault, Robbery and Rape most common due to the upper class' abuses of the peasants and serfs. It is also well known that bands of raiders patrol areas that are not under the direct policing of the Warlord or his allied warriors. Often by the time he is able to mobilize a response, the raiders have already left.

Government type - Shogunate: The generals of the warrior caste hold vast tracts of land worked by serfs. The various generals employ tribes of the warrior caste, who pledge their allegance to the general, and act on his behalf in conflicts. The strongest of these generals becomes the emperor of Manuhakh so long as they can protect the position.

People in power -

Emperor Dagik Dimorham - Dagik has been emperor of the Islands for a good 40 years now, although his power is beginning to wane in comparison to the Shogun. Dagik's rule has been described as tumultuous and internally unstable, especially with his decision to implement an Isolationist approach to foreign policy. In responce, his life has been threatened by the Shogun himself if he does not revoke the declaration. Dagik has stood firm on his position to shut out the world from Manuhakh; leading to his ultimate downfall.

Shogun Hizaki Tamehara - Shogun Tamehara, of the Hizaki clan, is an Oni who has risen from a simple warrior in the service of a failing Warlord to Shogun of Manuhakh. His story is one that is told thought the Islands, and rightfully so. Now, however, Hizaki is part of a great conflict between Haian and Alaaki. As the country remains officially Isolationist, the Shogun has been sneaking in outside traders in an attempt to gather the money required to take down the Emperor and open up Manuhakh. As shogun, all Warlords are technically loyal to him, but Tamehara knows better. He needs strong allies if he is to take down Dagik and what ever Warlords may remain loyal to him.

Lopakh Kolasrop, High Sodan of Kotar

Mori Aiori, High Sodan of Lur

Silok Dagik, Imperial Prince - In many ways, Silok is little more than a pawn for Shogun Hizaki. A cowardly man, he will bend with ease at the will of a strong figure, something that Hizaki has been taking advantage of to get favors in the Imperial Court. Silok will be vital to Hizaki's coup.

Industry - At the moment, all trading with Manuhakh is offically banned, but Shogun Hizaki is a friend to many. Negotiations with the Shogun are not hard to do, and he will gladly work with traders to help them in and out of the country without Dagik knowing. The industry of Manuhakh is separated between the 4 major islands. Silk production and textiles dominate over the center most island, but the most significant industry by far is the forging and metal working done in Haian. From here, blacksmiths create almost all the weapons and metal tools in the country in the ancient oni tradition. Haian is also the center of production for firearms, an experimental weapon that may begin to catch on if it can be done cheaply. This in particular is of interest to the Shogun for is planned coup.

On the northern island of Mazad comes most of the wheat based products like bread, flour and beer; along with most meats. Sake is produced exclusively in Haian from the many rice paddies that are found on its home island.

Military - Manuhakh's military is a feudal system, with the Shogun at the top. The hierarchy can be described as such

Shogun- The strongest of all warriors in the country, they act as a leader and highest general to all. The Shogun acts as a second, and often more powerful, head of state.
Sodan (Warlord) - These are the personal warlords under the service of the Shogun. The act as governors for their fiefs as well, and often hire bureaucrats to manage their many responsibilities. They command the lower ranks of warrior families and personal soldiers. High Sodan refers the the Sodan who controls the Territorial Seat
Thradur (Samurai) - The common members of the warrior class, these knights pledge their service to a Sodan and guard his territory with their lives. The thradur also act as police of sorts, but there has also been many problems with their corruption and violence towards the commoners. Often, when a thradur's Sodan dies they will wander until a new master takes them on. These wanderers are called Ronin. Thradur have a sense of personal honor, and if they feel they have failed their master, their family or themselves, they will often commit ritual suicide to restore their honor.

Landscape/Terrain - The landscape varies quite a bit from island to island. In the central and southern islands, the landscape is very mountainous, covered with bamboo forests, mulberry trees, where there is no stone poking out from the ground. The soil on dry land is rather poor, but the wetlands that form from the constant rain showers are known for their rich soils, and from these wetlands spring rice paddies and various sprout farms. The Southern most islands are all small and sandy, with little value the farthest south islands are totally uninhabited. To the North on the Island of Mazad, vast plains, meadows, and grasslands dominate the island, perfect land for farming and raising animals. The weather this far north ranges from warm in the summer to freezing in the winter. To the east, snow and tundra dominates. This rocky soiled island is unsuited for any kind of farming, and is too cold to grow anything. The waters around it are, however, rich with fish, and the native grasses are often woven by the natives to form their distinctive housing.

History - Manuhakh began with the arrival of the Snow Elves. These people were rather technologically backwards, using stone and bone tools, grass woven clothes and homes, and still hollowing out tree logs for canoes. For the majority of the Island's existence, this was the only way of life. That was until the arrival of the Tasuki culture at an unknown point. These people were proto-Oni, and quickly dominated all the Islands save for one to the Far East. The Oni established many warring kingdoms and tribal unions, but failed to ever unify the Islands. It was then that fate brought the first Orcs from the Mainland to the Oni city of Haian. The Orc colonists took over Haian and quickly conquered the Oni, establishing themselves as rulers of the Island. The Iron Age had begun on Manuhakh, and it is at this time that we see the first description of the Kingdom as such, in a bronze tool with an incomplete carving, roughtly transliterated as "...ai Manushak-hai...", showing the archaic form of the Manuhakhese language. Around this time, the Kingdom began to splinter once again, leading into the Warring Kingdoms Era. At this time, technology skyrocketed for the Orcs, allowing them to continue a cycle of conquest and failure, each time the kingdoms getting bigger and bigger until The Era of the 3 Nations. The Kingdoms of Kotar, Haian, and Lur. Haian was the largest, lead by the legendary Karthukh Emperor. The Emperor's brilliant general, Bog of Asi began a campaign against Lur. The war was more of a formality, there was no way that the Snow Elves ever could have defeated the Orcs, but Bog put in all the effort anyways, his overkill sending a message to Kotar. When Haian declared war on Kotar, the nation was already in fear, but after the crushing defeat of Kotar's army by Bog at the Battle of Grohnak, the country conceded defeat and accepted annexation at the agreement that Bog would spare the lives of Kotar's officials. A unified nation, Manuhakh underwent its golden age at this time, with many innovations in the fields of art, science and politics. It was until the rise of the 4 Vile Emperors. These men nearly destroyed Manuhakh due to a mix of ineffective rulership, outright cruelty and or neglect to the common people, and in the case of the final vile emperor, the waste of the country's resources for his own extravagant lifestyle. It was in this time that the then Shogun revolted and took control of the Country in the Civil War of Manuhakh. The outcome of this war was a establishment of the new dynasty and the restoration of the country's stability. Manuhakh lived a pretty uneventful outcome until the rise to power of Dagik Dimorham, and his decision to end all outside trade. From that point on, the nation of Manuhakh has begun to stagnate, and many believe that a 2nd civil war could be coming.

Name of Race: arsurón bära̋kH (pronounced ar-soo-rawn behrehkh)
Pic/Description:

Racial Characteristics: The Arsurón possess slippery, amphibian-like skin, typically teal or bluish green. This skin allows for direct transfer of oxygen to blood when submerged in flowing water, and allows the Arsurón to absorb the water from the air of damp enviroments. This skin also makes them suseptable to water soluable poisons and toxins at a much higher rate than most. Their yellow colored eyes give them thr ability to see perfectly underwater. In addition to elflike ears and slender phisiques, they have sharp teeth and sharp, knifelike claws.
Race Bio (personality, etc.): The Arsurón's origins are obscure and uncertain, it is unknown if they arose from sea dwelling life, or diverged from a land dwelling species that returned to the water. What is known is they first appeared as elflike amphibians along the Arsur coasts. Following fish and other sea life up and down the shorelines, the Arsurón developed the boat centered, sea based nomadic lifestyle they live currently, also conducting incursions and raids on small settlements along the nearby rivers where they take captives for use as slaves.

The Arsur Coast

It was only a few weeks when the new traders from the Lotus Colony had arrived, bringing wooden built ships and the material itself to the people of the Homeland. As the traders, dressed in new clothes made from the various plants of the rain forest and the naturally red fibers of the bark of trees growing in the rain forest. In addition to this useful new material, the traders brought something tantalizing to the people of the coast. The bark of the natural rain forest trees had been ground into a fine dust and mixed with oils found in the various fruits of the rain forest. The resulting mixture was the red dust suspended into a thick red paste, that when spread upon the cloth created from the reeds native to the Arsur Coast, stained them to the bright red. This blood red dye quickly caught on in popularity among the Arsuron, though it was decided among the alliance elders that the dye would be restricted to a specific garment, the cloak donned by the Arsuron Warriors, in hopes that the bloody red would intimidate their enemies. ArHeg Yifenon, as it came to be called (Blood of the Lotus) was a relatively expensive product, costing at least 10 hand axes for a single bark cup of dye. However, wood was becoming important very quickly, with the standard price of a ships worth of wood being a single Dolphin's skeleton. The result was naturally a heavy increase in the hunting of the Dolphin, and the slow decline of the animal, with heards drifting farther from their homes, and entire sections of the sea becoming devoid of them.

A fisherman named Angos saw a solution to this, using the same method that the Arusron had to control fish and grow their population. Angos was to lead a group of fishers out to sea and find a pod of dolphins and capture several children of both sexes to be bred. When the dolphins were captured, he brother, a very knowledgeable aquafarmer would raise them, and create a sustainable population of dolphins for food and trade. That was the plan at least, and today Angos' fishers would depart and hopefully find what they wanted. On the day of departure, the ships left via a more northern path, to avoid the traditional "curse" that had a tendency to befall those who sailed from the southern shores; the chance of one's ship to burst into flames on the ocean. It was for a long time considered simply to be an action of Yi'am, a rule that the Arsuron were never to violate. But one Aruson became interested in just what it was that made the ships burn like this, and at sea non the less. He had often heard of the sands of this beach, how they seemed to be forever warm, the waters were always heated to just the right temperature so that one would never shiver when entering. This Arsuron was Anfen, and he was determined to learn how to make fire.

Upon journying south of the main camp, he found that the sand truly was hot, very hot, so hot that the groud was at times painful to stick one's toes into, and when he dug into the tightly packed sand, it just seemed to get hotter. The sand, the sand must be what is hot. Walking onto the shoreline, Anfen found that his wet feet also made the sand feel warm. Anfen took a full bark box worth of the sand from the beach onto his ship, and sealed it as tight as he could, before departing home, holding onto the precious sand.

With wood starting to take the place of reeds, many were trying to find uses for them. Often they would be stripped of their bark, to be woven into baskets. It was well known that dried reed bark created a tight basket that could be stowed away on a boat, but many were at a loss as to what to do with the soft fleshy parts in the center of the plant. Traditionally they were thrown away, but one day, a weaver forgot to do so, leaving the soft pieces to dry on accident. When she returned, the pulpy core was dried into a papery material, something light weight and clothlike. The weaver thought of what this might be used for, it did not look strong enough to be a basket material, but it might be useable for clothing, or maybe even as sails. She would try and weave the thin rectangular pieces into a cloth that all could use.

Toolmaker's center
The toolmaker had been laboring tirelessly at the copper ore, shaping, bending, hammering the metal, and shaping the pieces. He had found that the stone could be hammered with a stone into very thin pieces, and twisted and bent unlike any other stone he had ever seen. His colleagues suggested that this could be used in hunting, that the bendable stone could be used to disable prey, to injure them and keep the spear lodged into the animal and recovered after the hunt, and bent back into shape afterwards. The tool makers would continue working with this material, and try and create spear and arrowheads in this stone. Another suggested hammering the edges of a long piece of this metal to create a blade, a blade that could be easily sharpened and repaired. Indeed, many experiments would be done.

Lotus Colony
Lotus Colony had not just survived, but was thriving. The acquisition and trade of wood and dye was turning this former exodus into a rich piece of territory for the Arsuron. It was time, they thought, to spread. The Lotus Arsuron decided to explore the rivers, send 3 canoes each with two people down both of the rivers, and set up trading posts and get agreements with whoever they found. With all hope, it would bring in a great deal of wealth.

so....whats the status on this?
As Mira listened to the others around her, she decided to try and listen in on auras of other around her. Most of those around her gave off a human aura, that was normal, but it was the others that were of interest to her. Helcrest's aura was borderline demonic, but not quite, closer to Vampiric. She would keep her eye on him. The White haired boy, Arin, his was something abnormal, it was human but...different, she couldn't put an exact name on what else it was. It was then that she picked up on a human Aura *above* her. She looked up and saw Sumireko descending towards them. In addition, she picked up on what appeared to be...magical items. Was this girl a mage of some sort? Only one way to find out. Mira approached the girl and spoke to her. "You, are you a mage?" she asked, thinking that a Magic user would be useful in an unusual world. Even with her knowledge of the various planes connected to Hell, the magic users who studied the subject might be aware of where ever it was that they were now, plus a mage was always a good asset for adventuring. @MagusDream
