Roleplay Interests: Star Trek, Final Fantasy VII, Pokémon and FFXIV. Pretty much exclusively right now. Doctor Who if you can sell me on a plot idea. I am very hesitant to roleplay in an original world, because I enjoy fleshing out my characters, and a lot of times original worlds lack a lot of the information I need to effectively roleplay. I roleplay PG-13 scenarios. I'm 30 IRL, but mature themes just aren't my cup of tea in general. If you desire more, I’m open to conversation. I tend to avoid relationship-based RPs, though some of my characters are more prone to it than others. I have no control over Emet-Selch—he does what he wants.
Roleplay Style: For the most part, I can't RP a child. Which of course is entirely awkward for most Pokémon RPs, so on the whole I'd much prefer to RP a Pokémon instead of a Trainer. I also largely RP males, though I've been known to play other things. I'm also entirely fine RPing Canon characters of my preferred Fandoms, and I like to think I do a good job? You can expect two paragraphs minimum from me, pretty much universally, with no cap. Sometimes I won't shut up. That said, I try to write concise posts—meat and potatoes. Once upon a time I wrote in purple, but I really don't have time for that anymore. With certain partners I can do bursts of rapid-fire, but at that point my responses will shorten.

The best serious relationships are basically the ones where you're both friends, and you do friends things. I mean, obviously MORE than friends things, but you're friends first. And I'm incredibly opinionated so I have to be with someone significantly more passive or it gets ugly. Fast.
Yup, Pokémon! Since Acorn Rack died, I don't think I'll ever find a group for a serious/good FFVII RP. At least not until the remake. I had one about two years ago that finished, but... I need another one. *cries* Actually now that I think about it, the most recent of my FFVII RPs, I played a character with a romantic interest. Not that they had time to do anything over all of the dying.
Ohhh, Dragonriders of Pern. It's like... a Sci-Fi dragon book thing. Except only some of them really scream sci-fi, a lot of them seem a bit more fantasy or medieval. Even though it's an Earth colony. But no one remembers that. Basically the story centers around humans who have telepathic connections with genetically engineered dragons. Who are basically TARDISes. At least in the sense that they can jump through space, and some of them can jump through time, too. I'm entirely too drugged to actually explain anything coherently.
And with that, I'm going to go lay down, maybe sleep. Maybe browse for a bit, maybe reply here. Though I can't promise anything I say from here out tonight will make ANY sense. This post might not even make sense, I don't really know! :D Silly sleeping pills. @_@

As for Acorn Rack, many, MANY people complained including me. Some people got answers back, and then silence. I was a paying customer and I didn't even so much get a reply back. Having my data backed up would have been nice. Sigh.

Outside of the men's bathroom, a Lucario leaned against against the stone wall, staring at the ceiling until a teenager with two Pokémon waited beside him. Shinon's gaze fell to the white bracelet upon the Trainer's arm for a few moments before looking down at his own crimson bracer. Quietly he thought to himself, staring at the boy. That's a Key Stone, if I'm not mistaken...
Finally, after what seemed like forever to both parties, Pent emerged from the bathroom victorious. His breath now did not smell of vomit, and he was cleansed from any vile residue. Flashing a friendly smile to the two Pokémon at the feet of a Trainer (while also subconsciously glancing at his Pokégear), he then made his way over towards his Lucario, Shinon. Giving a soft grunt, Shinon's gaze fell to the teen's Mega Bracelet. That Trainer has a Key Stone.
Raising a brow, Pent then used his staff to turn on his heel to look in the opposite direction. "Hmmm—oh! Oh my, you're right he does." His pale features suddenly flushed a light pink as he realized that the boy next to him probably noticed he was talking about him, despite him being absorbed with his Pokégear. Eyes widened as he realized something important that he had seen whilst making his way over towards Shinon. Pushing off his staff, he fully turned to face the boy, his mind running a mile a minute. W-Wait, is that... a map of Viore!? Finally he awkwardly vocalized his inner monologue. "Erm, excuse me... Is that a map of Viore you're looking at?"
Letting out a soft grunt, Shinon looked over the two Pokémon at the teen's feet. He then spoke to both of them. <Please excuse my Trainer... He's had quite the trying afternoon.>

I don't actually know what happened, so I'm going to do some research. I believe Acorn Rack lost funding, though. I don't believe any of them were hacked, but they were most likely deleted. Basically the sites were forum hosting sites, kind of like Enjin, Gamerlaunch... those WoW Guild sites that allow you to set up forums and stuff. Except it was designed for roleplaying. Yeah, I hope the Guild doesn't disappear, that would be depressing. Anyway, basically what you just described is how AvidGamers 2 happened, I think?
He just vanished. I don't know. :( Oh well, and yeah we worked around it fine, it was just DEVASTATING to my character since the love of her life... I think we said he died? I don't even remember, ahahaha.

It was pretty epic but... It's one of those it was a great experience, I'm glad it happened, and let's never do it again? Kinda like the final message after beating Undertale's Pacifist Ending if you try to open the game again. >_>;;
Oh boy. So back in my day (15 or so years ago?) there were a few roleplay-centric forums. AvidGamers and AvidGamers2 was the largest one for a very long time. I had a site on there and... one day? Nuked. Completely gone. So then Acorn Rack happened, it was basically AvidGamers. I'm not sure if it was better or worse, but by then I was older and could actually code forums and stuff so I did cool things with it. Guess what? Whole site nuked. Anyway, the only thing you're missing is the frustration of having all of your hard work destroyed and you'll never be able to enjoy your old stories again. Oh no, banned from a NRP site? That's sad :(
The RP was pretty intense. @___@; Basically, when the boyfriend-rogue disappeared, he poofed IRL, so we just had to work with that. The child-hood friend and I were OOCly good friends and discussed a lot of plot points together, so all of the other stuff was talked over at least to some extent. We had an agreement that anything was fine between the two of us, more or less.

Hahahah! This particular trouble just happened... oh man. But yeah. I try not to get too attached? But I do have to get inside of their head and feel their emotions, so yes for stuff like that to happen it can be stressful.
I'll be completely honest, it's been YEARS since the particular RP happened, so I'm sure I only remember a very, very small portion of what happened. I know my main character fell in love with a rogue, and that was pretty happy for a while. Then, her long-lost (long-forgotten?) childhood friend approached her. She finds out he's a super player, black book and everything. Mildly disgusted, whatever. Anyway turns out he's had a thing for her this entire time and only does this to block out the paaaaain. Cue my character finds out. All of her what the fucks.
Drama happened that I absolutely don't remember, but still feel the aftermath of. Rogue-boyfriend disappears. Something horrible happens to her childhood friend, and it's entirely her fault. .... and... yeah. Wish I remembered more. The RP was on Acorn Rack so it was nuked a long time ago, I can't even go back to read. :(
As Liza vanished, a rather confused expression washed over Pent's features. "W-Well she left in a hurry."
Crossing his arms, Shinon replied, Given how quickly she left, and the fact that she helped the one responsible for the backup rather swiftly, it's quite apparent there's something she's anxious to do.
Hanging his head, a soft sigh escaped Pent's lips. "I... understand that she believes that helping others should be a given, but... it was really fortunate that she noticed me. I would have at least liked to have bought her a lemonade for her troubles..."
Perhaps if you see her again. I can keep watch for her Aura, if you desperately wish to repay her. That said... that may be considered stalking.
Poking his two forefingers together, he let out a dejected sigh. "...I hadn't even considered that. You're right." It took a few moments for Pent to fully process what Liza had told him. "A-Ah! She told me to get cleaned up." Shooting up from his seat, he looked around only to realize the nearest bathroom on the plane would be difficult to reach. "Shinon, do I—"
The Lucario shook his head, tactfully interrupting his Trainer. I do not see any vomit. You should still clean up, regardless.
Nodding, Pent made his way to the end of the aisle, and Shinon stood up to follow. "I suppose we should head off, then." Picking up the bag of vomit, Pent and Shinon proceeded to disembark. In the back of his mind, Pent was relieved he did not have any carry on luggage, as he was fairly certain the motion of removing it from the overhead compartment would have caused him to hurl further.
Reading his thoughts, Shinon commented, I'm thankful as well.
It didn't take long for the duo to make their way off the plane, and they now found themselves at the gate. Thankfully, he had found a trashcan only a few minutes previously. Looking around, confusion washed over the man's features as he realized he had no idea what to do next. It was then he spotted a sign pointed to baggage pickup, and even more importantly, to the bathroom. Rushing into the restroom, Pent immediately headed towards the long row of sinks. Looking himself over in the mirror, he was relieved to only find one dried spec of vomit on the corner of his lips.
