Luke

Luke placed a hand to his mouth in contemplation. The mission is done, but he would like to stay and help the city recover, though he doubts everyone would let him stay behind. I guess I can go back and get some sleep? He absentmindedly double-checked around him to see if there was anything he missed. After seeing there was nothing of note, he shrugged his shoulders and lazily walked towards the floating airship.

"Obsidian Kite?" That's a guild name he's not all that familiar with. He's heard the general knowledge about them, but it was the type of knowledge that went in one ear and out the other. Lavinia then started letting out her normal, crazy personality to the newcomers, which made Luke widened his eyes a small amount. If she acts like this...won't they take back their free ride?

It seems like Grasidia isn't letting anyone else on but Cloven. That's the only exception, so Luke had to use his weakest skill to negotiate with them.

Talking.

"Um, don't mind Lavinia. She means well." He spoke softly and gently to the mages of Obsidian Kite. "She's actually a really nice person. We could use a ride back."

Luke's social skills aren't the best. He would've talked some more and probably bit his tongue had he not felt a sudden dizziness overcome his body. He's really regretting not giving his body the durability enhancement when going against that dragon. He had to take an extra step not to fall to the side. He steadied himself and walked towards the airships with his vertigo dissipating. His expression was set in utter neutrality.

Luke ignored the crazy behavior his guild was showing off, for all his focus was on Felix. The boy was seriously injured. Thankfully, he'll make a full recovery and be back on hs feet with the same behavior as usual. Leon is a reliable guy.

Since there's nothing else to focus on, Luke started to zone out and blankly stare at Felix while not really looking at him. His mind was currently elsewhere; the face of that powerful mage stirred up something. Luke already forgot that feeling, but a small something was unchained just an infinitesimal amount. If anyone came up to ask him anything, he wouldn't be in a state to respond at all.

Whenever the amnesiac tries to recall anything past a year when he found himself stumbling on the street, he just comes up empty. Almost like there was nothing to remember. He remembered hearing wild theories from his guild mates, such as him being a robot. He brushed his hand over the wound he received. Unfortunately, head trauma didn't jog anything inside.

"I need some sleep," he muttered to himself. His eyes were starting to get heavy. I can at least wait until I find some place to sleep.

The feeling of a hand brushing through his hair and caressing his face pulled him out of his thoughts before he delved even deeper. It seemed it was one of the twins, Gwendolyn.

He slowly turned to her and spoke. "Ah, I'm glad you're safe as well." He then fixed her with an odd look and smiled strangely.

The familiar faces are nowhere around me. Would I call this feeling...melancholy?

With the dragon finished off and everyone starting to wind down, some dropped to the ground in exhaustion and others were worrying about everyone else's injuries. Felix's condition is currently somewhat stable, so the only person of worry seems to be Gwendolyn.

And maybe the shouting Lavinia. What if she loses her breath and passes out from all that?

Before Luke went to go look for Gwendolyn, Marduk found her. She looked fine from Luke's point of view, but something must've caused her to go unconscious. Luke tilted his head momentarily in thought, but gave up that avenue relatively quickly. He's no doctor after all. Besides, Lavinia is caring for her in her special way.

Luke became still and closed his eyes, almost giving the appearance of a man who fell asleep while standing up. The world around him was at peace, which of course means something had to disturb him before he delved inside his consciousness.

An earth-shattering sound hit the ground, revealing an interesting man with an air of suffocating power around his body. Luke's eyes widened as his hand slipped behind him reaching for something that wasn't there with an eerie grin on his face. He immediately corrected that into a smile. At least it wasn't him that contributed to the rising tension. Luke turned away from that man's confrontation with the two top members of his guild.

The moment he appeared... Why did my hand do that? Almost like it was muscle memory from seeing his visage.

The atmosphere could've set a match ablaze with how much heat and pressure was being generated. A thought wormed its way into the amnesiac's brain. If it did turn into a brawl, what should he do? It was strange that the idea of a fight with that powerful mage didn't bother him in the slightest. Even if he would lose ten out of ten times, he just feels that he could care less about the idea of victory or loss.

Maybe.

What if I just let those familiar movements guide me...? A remnant of what was left behind. A ghost of a thought seemed to superimpose itself over his memories, but it was far too hazy to even think of it as something more real than a dream or an illusion. All those thoughts vanished from his mind and seemed to disappear before sinking into his memory the moment the burning tension cooled.

Luke's erratic and abnormal behavior returned to its normal state with hopefully no one the wiser. Everyone is fine and away from danger including him. He ignored the thumping in his chest and just attributed it to the running adrenaline that hasn't yet settled from the monster fight. His eyes found one of the other guild mates seemingly off to the side away from the main group. Luke felt like wandering over to the person who's name is escaping him right now, but he turned his focus elsewhere.

"How is Felix?" he asked while walking towards Leon with a serene smile on his face. Holly metaphorically sounding the horn of victory slightly put him in a good mood.

John sluggishly pulled out his phone and scrolled in his notes where the name and location of his first class was typed out. He looked up in the middle of his stride to see the large campus of the university and realized that he'll be late if he wasted his time going through every building to find the correct one. He might even have to talk to someone and ask them for directions, much to his discomfort.

Luckily, he wasn't forced to rely on such a method as a much simpler and more obvious assistance made itself apparent to his goal. A large map plastered on a sign telling him the directions. He traced the lines from where he was to find the building he needed to go and let out a smirk of satisfaction. He managed to avoid human contact, which would've revealed his absolutely atrocious social skills.

He quickly turned away from the map to reach his class in a haste. The quicker he arrives, the less eyes that'll be on him due to him showing up with a low amount of students already present.

It seems he was too hasty though. Vertigo assaulted his senses as he felt the world twist and turn with a sudden headache not making in any better. He could've sworn he saw his vision be clouded up by a fog or mist for a second, but with a blink, clarity returned to his vision and balance was restored to his brain.

"I should probably stop staying up that late in the future if this is gonna be what awaits me more often," he complained to no one.

Arriving at his first class, he put that odd feeling that occurred earlier behind him. Right now, he needs to focus on what will shape his future because that's all that matters now. The inner turmoil twisting in his gut seemed to aggressively deny his thoughts.

Who am I kidding? What kind of future is there for a piece of trash like me? A deprecating chuckle almost escaped his lips from the negative thoughts pervading his mind. That rotten ideology of his has corrupted his spirit and left what could be called a legacy of a misspent youth.

John sat down in his seat after nervously glancing at his professor who acknowledged him with a nod of his head. He put his phone on battery save mode and decided to scroll through the latest news until class started.
Luke

Luke was planning on ceasing on hurling his hail of rubble at the flying beast once he either ran out of rubble or his strength enhancement's three minute time limit wore off. He would've probably extended the limit or look for more rubble, but he never needed to do that, for the beast was slain in a gory manner befitting of the guild's token evil teammate.

Or as she likes to call herself, an evil witch who will take over the world like a cliché super villain. In Luke's eyes, she resembles a cranky old lady who didn't have a bunch of cats to stay with her, so she got lonely and made an act for the guild so she can draw attention. It puts a smile on his face and makes him happy a little bit. Of course, the rapid evaporation of his focus on the dragon was due to the fact that it was basically dead, and the fact that Luke may have a concussion or worse.

He shook his head and a frown made its way to his face. He leapt out of the building that was forcibly made his temporary housing, and walked through the burning city. The smell of smoke assaulted his nostrils, which didn't really illicit any reaction from him.

Felix... He was looking for the boy who was swiped by the dragon's tail. His eyes swept over the lingering destruction, looking for the reckless child. He barely saw him embedded in a wall that was heavily fractured. In a single motion, he pulled him out and carried him under his arm.

Hm? Luke felt a noticeable heat that would've burnt him had his Conditional Variance spell had not still been in effect. That heat seems to be dissipating slightly due to the sudden rainfall. He continued carrying the kid.

While walking towards Grasidia and everyone else, he brought up an arm to wipe the blood from his forehead clean. There's no need to worry his guild mates.

"He needs healing." He gently placed the unconscious boy down, making sure no injuries were aggravated. He tried turning his headphones up a smidge, but he realized they were damaged in the fight.

His arm drooped to the side with him emanating disappointment. He had those for as long as he can remember, but it's okay.

Yeah... I'm fine.
Luke

Luke's attack didn't do as much damage as the amnesiac mage would've hoped. He felt the dragon slightly buckle under the weight of the impact before pushing his head up and rebounding him sky-high. He flipped three times before righting himself, but the weightless feeling was still there.

How high up am I? He had a bird's eye view on the whole field with the dragon rampaging from the pain of its injuries and his guild mates continuing to add more. Though the fight looked even, a closer eye would reveal the fight to be in slight favor to the dragon with its newly revealed regenerative powers making themselves apparent.

"All that fire... Astoria?" The city blazing like a rapid conflagration of magma painted a very ugly picture. It was relieving to see one of the twins putting out some of those fires in an effort to preserve the city. With the dragon taking more and more damage along with the city's fires being put out, it seemed like the fight was coming to a close.

"It's getting stronger and healing itself..." So. of course bad news at to sprout up at the worst time. At least Lavinia and Holly reapplied some heavy damage when it was healing itself. He had to focus his eyes to just barely see them from his altitude.

"Felix...!" Luke shouted in a mixture of surprise and concern. The tail whip smacked him head on. That may have been the strongest emotion he's felt before.

The Dragon's screams were insanely loud. It was only thanks to Luke's headphones that his ears weren't ringing. He was falling closer and closer to the dragon that opened its mouth in preparation for a breath attack. Luke was incapable of maneuvering in midair enough to get away from the line of fire, so he had no choice but to take it head on.

"Conditional Variance." He could feel the inside and outside being warped by his magic. He braced himself.

The dragon's flames crashed into him head on with its power strong enough to go through the resistance. He felt his clothes getting singed and the shape of his headphones getting warped by the scalding blaze. It still wasn't enough to take him out. He braced himself enough to still be battle-ready.

Unfortunately, the concussive force of the roar sent him flying into a building. He stood up feeling a bit woozy. He took a deep breath and his vision cleared up. He attempted to take a step forward and then he nearly fell over. He barely caught himself. Blood leaked from his head onto the ground.

He could feel the insides of his head create strange squelching noises. He ignored them.

"What can I do?" Luke wondered to himself. His eyes traveled over the rubble he haphazardly made when he crashed into the building. He still had the strength enhancement going on, though he wished he applied a durability enhancement as well.

He very easily picked up those heavy pieces of concrete and threw them at supersonic speeds straight towards the dragon's eyes.
Luke

Luke got the people off of his back and mostly away from the danger zone. He chose to immediately head back to the rampaging dragon and look for anyone else that needed any help. His eyes tracked the dragon rapidly gaining injuries and becoming more and more incensed.

It was the loss of its eye that triggered the beast to go completely berserk. It fired off multiple roars in quick succession that destroyed more of the wonderful city. It wouldn't be out of place as a historical art piece depicting a war zone. Luke clenched his fists as he got closer. Another roar came ripping through the air to blow him away.

"It's getting to dangerous..." So, he has to end this now.

Luke closed his eyes as the ethernano in his magic container became lightly disturbed like a rock falling into a still lake. His red eyes opened and he felt an immediate slight drain in his reserves.

"Configurate." He felt his physical strength rise and he kicked off the ground with an enhanced force strong enough to break it. The dragon's roar whiffed him, for he was already high in the sky. With gravity pulling him downwards, he navigated his descent to break on the dragon's nose. One of its wings were clipped and Grasidia was repeatedly trapping it with vines. Add that with it being focused purely on letting its fury out through aggressive attacks, it was wide open.

With his enhanced strength, Luke crashed his feet onto the dragon.
Luke

A monster? Luke tried to conceptualize what kind of monster a dragon would appear as in his mind. He fought many different types of monsters while he was hopping from guild to guild, but the way Grasidia seemed to emphasize that word was special. He tried to understand what she conveyed to him, but any potential answers came up blank.

Unfortunately, he didn't have any more time to mull over that as his other guild mates came pouring out with a variety of expressions on their faces. Those who were grinning with anticipation, those who were worried, and those who were completely serious with a grave complexion. Luke seemed to be the odd one out with no special feelings being expressed on his face.

He seemed more interested in the vehicle that Grasidia conjured up as he hopped on it and pressed his hand on it to feel the texture. When he sat down on it, it accelerated at surprising speeds. The buffeting winds almost undid his short ponytail and knocked his headphones off.

Luke just looked forward.

Something that resembled a flying lizard, but blown up to gigantic sizes came into view. It seemed to be enjoying its ravaging of the city. Luke glanced at Gwendolyn and Astoria before having his attention stolen by more destruction below.

His eyes widened a mite as Grasidia went even faster and took off to the dragon that seemed to being revving up a devastating breath attack. He was thankful she managed to save people from getting butchered, but he was a little worried at her being sent flying by the whip of the dragon's tail.

He and the rest of his guild were getting closer to it, which was when it fiercely turned with murder in its eyes towards their direction. The gargantuan reptile merely flapped its wings once and displaced everyone on the leaves with the strength of the gust it conjured.

Blue.

Just for a moment, all Luke saw was the wide blue sky that possessed an unmatched beauty. His attention from the battle was snatched away for just an ephemeral moment before it came rocketing back with the feeling of gravity that began to act on his body.

Below him, Gwen created a platform. He righted his body in midair and lightly dropped on it. He had a nice position to view the battlefield. He saw the dragon that his guild mates were already engaging, and then he saw civilians trying to run and civilians that couldn't run.

"That's not good at all." He jumped off the chilly platform and headed towards those injured civilians. With his strength, he moved heavy rubble out of the way.

"Are you...alright?" He titled his head slightly, a calm mood resembling a person who seems completely out of place in this chaos. The people in front gave a shaky nod, which he responded to with the same.

"I'll carry you all out of here. Get on." He lifted multiple people out. Luke provided relief and aid to those that needed it. In the corner of his eye, he saw Felix doing the same with people in another area.

He smiled softly as the last batch of people secured themselves on him. His image paints a somewhat comedic picture with people piled on him. "Hang on tight." He jumped out of the danger zone to a more safe area away from the dragon. He glanced back at the battlefield to see the dragon standing strong.
Luke

His master was once again acting in a manner not befitting her age, though she brought some interesting news. A dragon about to attack people. "That's bad," he softly spoke. People getting hurt is naturally a bad thing to him, so he's ready to go right now. He followed after one of the resident S-classes of the guild, Grasidia, and waited for her to create a way to get over their as soon as possible.

He crouched in front of the vehicle growing with curiosity in his eyes. The way they grew like that in an organic way was like watching grass grow in a sped-up manner. Since he can derive enjoyment from watching grass grow at a normal pace, something like this would obviously be fun for him as well.

Though there is a glaring problem with this operation. A burning question sitting in his mind the moment this sudden mission sprouted up.

"What's a dragon?" He asked Grasidia who seems like a knowledgable, and well-traveled individual. Due to his amnesiac state, he knows not even myths about dragons.
Luke

The cheerful Astoria crashing into the guild with energy stole Luke's attention for just a second. He looked at her then went back to staring at the mission board while doing nothing.

It was Zenith coming out with food that finally awakened something within Luke. His gluttonous appetite made itself known with the grumbling of his stomach. "Ah, thank you," he slowly said while receiving a plate filled with food. It made no difference what he received for food as long as there was something to put in his stomach. Luke vigorously stuffed the sandwich in his mouth and took only 2 chews before swallowing each large bite he took. He finished the meal in record pace.

"Master...isn't here." He said that like he was just realizing the guild was devoid of her presence. He looked at the people who were currently here. There's Marduk... The cane tapping the ground was audible and recognizable due to only being one person who would carry that around.

Now there's Felix. Shortly after acknowledging the child's presence, another's was made known. Now the guild is starting to become a bit livelier with more members starting to converse.

Luke saw the moment Gwendolyn stripped herself, which was a surprisingly common sight. He felt nothing looking at her body. "Your clothes and please don't be so mean."
