Vane

Vane yawned right when class was dismissed. "That was pretty tiring," he said aloud. He left his seat and stretch out the unused pats of his body to get the blood flowing. Soon after that, he packed his bag and went to leave for lunch.

When he collected his lunch, he found an open seat and began slowly gorging himself on rice and chicken. There's a little orange on the side to fill up the healthy portion of his meal. He was lost in thought from the confrontation with some other people this morning. 'What was his name again? Virgil?'

The threat of him not being able to use training facilities bothered him a bit because he so desperately needed those to get stronger. Maybe he can strike a deal with him if they just sit down and have a little chat.

As Vane absentmindedly peeled an orange clean, he wondered. "If I was Virgil where would I be?" There were a couple of places he could think of, so he'll just knock one of them down before classes start up again. The American dumped his empty plate into the proper spot and left the cafeteria in search for Virgil and his ragtag group.

"Honestly, why'd he feel like getting in the way of my flight?

Luke

Since Luke returned, all that he seemed to be doing was rest and eat. He became slightly more lazier since the completion of the mission with him sometimes not even showing up at the guild hall until much later. This however wasn't one of those times as he decided to casually show up early on. Early enough to see the meltdown that Lavinia was having while cooking.

"The food's been ruined?" The amnesiac frowned at the waste of good food. His disappointment went away after spotting Gwendolyn moving about in the guild. Luke was tempted to talk to her, yet Astoria wasn't here yet. So, he did what felt normal to him and sat down on a seat.

He closed his eyes in thought. The topic of his thoughts was the mission he took. Compared to the dragon fight, it wasn't as hard, but it was different. He feels grateful for the help he received from his teammates. He just wonders if there was more he could've done, like being stronger. The chances of wrapping up the mission sooner would've made themselves more apparent.

"Hm." Luke felt like yawning. The mission was a success anyways, so there's no need to be so thoughtful about it.

Gerard

"Heh? What the hell are you guys messing around for? The fire mage was perfectly content on sitting back and watching the fireworks go off in the kitchen. It was a slightly entertaining sight that erased the boring aura of the guild. Gerard can confidently say that Lavinia is a very entertaining person.

He's been in the guild for only a short period of time, but he's already figured out the general personalities of his guild mates. Lavinia alone is fun. Lavinia with Zenith is a comedy act. The perfect duo of a circus that makes Gerard chuckle to himself.

"That's enough of that though," he murmured to himself. He cracked open a book about fire magic and started greedily taking in the information with barely concealed joy. He had a wide smile on his face as he completely mono-focused on the contents of the book.

Even information he already knows can be fruitful. The more he takes in, the more he learns how to use his fire spells more efficiently. Saving magic, strengthening the basics, and learning even the rare basics that he skipped over in favor of more raw power. He absolutely needs to do this to avoid relying on his shadow magic again.

Yes... He was absolutely furious that he was forced to bring that out again. He must get stronger, so he doesn't have to rely on the power of a faded past.
@Vocab

I'm fine with a discord server.

The hopeless shout John let out just in case that anyone would respond proved to be fruitful, much to his relief. The voice seemed to come from a lady, probably one in her twenties if he had to estimate. "Oh, thank god." He let out a sigh as the realization that he wasn't alone took hold. Though...

'Should I listen or should I go forward? Staying here is dreadful, but going forward is also scary. What the hell should I do?' He chose to walk. The claustrophobic dread of being alone in a foggy area like that was too taxing on his mind. Moving closer to the voice while she's walking closer to him would speed things up a tad.

"Just wanted to get some food and look where that got me. I should've just stayed inside and followed my usual habits. They haven't betrayed me yet at least." Muttering to himself provided a modicum of comfort that he really needed at the moment.

Straining his eyes, he saw two hazy figures through the mist. He sped up his pace a little bit with his brain blaring warning signals to him. He heard a single voice, so why are there two figures? He neared closer to those two figured with bated breath.

"What the hell..." Amazingly enough, he didn't scream and completely lose his shit over the two figures that became clear. He did however lose the strength to stand and fall on his ass. A monstrous creature that barely resembled an insect and a midget of a woman that was laughing herself silly. The sheer ridiculousness of this scene and how it seemed to pound at his sanity forced John to his feet. He stood up and spoke before even catching his breath.

"Just what the hell is this?!"

Vane

The monotonous and boring wait for the class to start was broken up by Vane's fellow students. Their colorful nature naturally painting over the dull atmosphere of the room with their own vibrant life. Jeim's presence brought a smile to Vane's own features with the possibility of a fight ever so present. As he looked on at the blatant flirting between Jeim and Pablo, he became even more amused at the interruption.

"Come on, Kim. Let them enjoy themselves while the rest can study. It's not like the studious will be all that distracted by something like this, right?" This was a wonderful day aside from the early morning that forces him to wake up at a murderous time.

Though that little Japanese girl makes him want to act a little bit more like Keith and mess with her. Her self-assurance and unparalleled confidence is screaming at Vane to just poke and prod at it a little bit.

And so he did. "Aw, that was a little rude, little girl. Nobody really knows the truth of the world, so we're all ignorant there." He closed his eyes and felt a little smirk come on to his face as he pushed a little further.

"I'm already living in Utopia anyways. Guess that means I'm smarter, more rational, and a better ruler than you are, though you'll get to where I am with a little more experience when you grow up some more." He didn't even bother holding in his laugh.
Shouyou Tenma

A research facility by the Akechi... A man clad in a kimono was lost in thought with only the sound of a vehicle to keep his mind company. He's familiar with those types of buildings, but the confusing thing is how the Rikimaru found it and why they're going after it. He can theorize all he wants, but there's no conclusive evidence to deduce the truth.

The mission Shouyou and others were hastily gathered for has the man slightly worried. All missions carry the risk of death, but Shouyou refuses to send anyone to the afterlife. He has a pipe dream that this situation can be diffused without fighting, but he's expecting an unfortunate fight. Plus, they were given permission to use all the force they feel is necessary. He sighed with a frown before speaking lightly.

"The Rikimaru Family is already raising tensions on the city. Since there's no need to increase that any further, would it not be best to use nonlethal means to take them down?" Shouyou is blind to the reason why the Rikimaru's doing this.

This was supposed to be a nice retirement for him where he could be free to pursue anything he wanted in life. A peaceful journey to a satisfactory end, yet the government interfered in that and now the Rikimaru family is the reason why he's being called back to a battlefield where there are only people. To say he's disappointed wouldn't be wrong. Also...

"Roya, please be careful." He doesn't mean to come across as patronizing, but Roya is still a child. He feels that it's his duty to worry for kids like him.
