Slowly, Futility rises from the ashes. Very soon, I hope, we'll be able to wrap up this next round of scenes, but that's like 3-4 posts out at least. The hustle does not stop.

I am going to throw my character in the character tab and I will begin creating my heroes shortly.

I plan to expand a bit later. In the mean time, I have a few questions.

1. What abilities do the gods and goddesses actually have that humans do not?

2.
These ten are strong against mages, but are mortal.
Magic is passed generation to generation.

Does this mean Direct gods are allowed ten heroes for the entire RP? Or when one hero dies, can he eventually be replaced by another? I think that would make sense considering mages are always in supply throughout the years.

3.
These warriors can be gifted divine weapons, made of mythical substances.

What sort of divine weapons can these be? Can they have magical power or simply be super strong?
Ryder's troubled expression showed a glint of anger from within her FRAME as Cecilia radioed her. She gritted her teeth as she retracted Theta's skates. Despite her urge, she was not about to disobey her C.O. Theta's LMG peppering halted with a short echo as she drew up her Autocannon. Her eyes locked onto the FRAME that had started to advance on her, but it was made quick work of by Cecilia's fire. Ryder found herself a new target, seemingly holding close to the cargo, firing off occasional rounds at random Panthers. With her target in sight, Ryder aimed the rather large assault rifle.

Theta pulled back the trigger letting a barrage of bullets fly forth. Ryder and her FRAME were a primary target of the enemy FRAMEs and the minimal cover around her wasn't helping. Firing in bursts, she managed to disable her opponent, before she had Theta start to backpedal. If she was going to fight with her Autocannon now, she might at well put some space in between her and her enemies.

It was obvious Cecilia didn't like her head-on assault idea, so Ryder would simply stay back and play it the C.O.'s way. All her teammates were relatively safe, so there was no reason to put herself in harms way if Cecilia didn't want to engage them close up. Her Autocannon continued to rattle off shots until the opposing FRAME she had targeted was seemingly disabled. He was at least not going anywhere or shooting anything.

With that, Ryder's skates activated and Theta flipped around. Her FRAME darted back towards the trees and the fire concentrated on her started to slow. Quickly, she prepped her Autocannon for another attack, her radio still dead silent. It seemed this battle was on the move now. With the cargo truck already ahead of the Dreq FRAMEs, the firefight had been split in two. Ryder peered out of the tree cover, assessing both her allied numbers and the numbers of her enemy. She planned to take out the remaining enemy FRAMEs and she'd have to rely on Cecilia and those that went with her to secure the cargo.

I'd love to join. I'll work up a sheet soon.
Unlike many of the other pilots, Ryder did not offer any time to react after the bridge went down. She would take the lead of her group to direct their fire to herself.

With a slam of her ignition, Ryder, too, would take initiative, but contrary to her teammate Edward, Ryder would be seen rushing forth. Her agile Zaruga skated hastily onto the road from her spot in the forest. Her eyes would lock onto her screen, another FRAME in sight of her. As she neared the convoy, Ryder and Theta, surprisingly didn't stop, despite being in range to fire her autocannon. Instead, her frame skated forth at its quick speed, lowering its mass seconds before slamming into the midsection of her opponent. Ryder's FRAME, of course, sustained damage, but with the her dropping her FRAME's weight lower to the ground, She managed to stagger her opponent without ruining Theta.

Ryder, now in a jeopardized position, put on a determined look. She was definitely a target now that she was out in the open. She glanced down to her controls, inputting a few commands in a specific order. Ryder started with Theta's MG27 Light Machinegun. At such close quarters, she figured, peppering the opponents with a barrage would be better than firing her Autocannon and risking a miss. Within a few seconds, the barrels of Theta's LMG lit up, sending forth a battery of bullets. That would at least keep them all from jumping on her.

Her main adversary, of course, would not stop after Ryder had already heavily damaged him. Rounds from his Autocannon flew forth towards Theta, contacting Ryder's FRAME with a bang each time. Ryder paused for a mere second and no more in thought. She was not going to run. Either way she would be damaged, so she might as well do some damage in return. It seemed Theta was temporarily immobilized as Ryder was shelled. Ryder sighed as Theta's arms moved into position with her own AFC-40/L Autocannon.

Ryder let off a few blind shots before allowing her FRAME to backpedal. She managed to trade blows with her opponent without sustaining any system breaking damage before she got to the side of the road the convoy had been on. It seemed she was allowing her FRAME a momentary respite before another attack. She was definitely not running at full capacity now, but that didn't seem to discourage her as she readied to charge into melee once more, her communications line still utterly silent.
I am interested and would like to play a female character, should a slot be open.
Ryder gave a quiet "Hmm..." as she watched the exchange between Cecilia and Bernard. That sure was a different side of Cecilia. Perhaps the hardened exterior was something to frighten the newcomers. Ryder shrugged this off and quickly shut the cockpit on her Zaruga with a creaking hiss. If their captain was here it must be time to go. Of course, Ryder had to fix her hair first. With a quick movement, she brushed aside strands of her dyed hair behind either ear and looked at her displays, making one last check to make sure she didn't fall apart the moment the Panthers left.

Ryder strapped herself into the seat of her Zaruga as the screens and systems came alive with a whirring. Ryder glanced about, checking each screen, display and control panel as Theta fired up to life. A smile crept across her face lasting a mere second as her main screen illuminated with a pixelated smile itself. It was just an extra feature Theta had.

With her systems primed and ready, Ryder's gaze fell to her right arm. She flicked the mechanical fingers back and forth as if testing them to make sure they still worked. It's shiny metallic plating glinted in the glow of her displays. She wasn't all used to her new 'features' as the doctors called them. She thought about all the little mechanical pieces inside of her body that were keeping her alive and wondered how they would fair in a taxing FRAME fight, but there was nothing she could do about it now. Her prosthesis reached down for her headset that lay by one of her monitors.

"Ryder and Theta online." She said in a calm, almost dry tone into her headset. It might have even come as a surprise to her fellow pilots. She doubted most of them knew her name, let alone had heard her voice. Of course, Ryder had no thoughts about this. She quickly reached a hand up to hit the mute button on her headset and used her free hand to clear any dust off of her viewing monitors. With hands wrapped around Theta's controls, she was ready to go.

She readied herself for Theta's drop. Once Theta was free from the wall, she could finally work his controls a bit and get ready.
Ryder filed quickly into the room where the FRAMEs were held. She stopped only for a slight moment, as if admiring her machine. She hadn't been a FRAME pilot for long after all. The hulking metal war machine was still a bit awe-striking. Ryder approached her machine putting a hand on its metallic armor. Theta, she called it. Well... There was a small Theta symbol carved right into the FRAME's back, so if fit. It was subtle, and that suited her. Ryder picked up a nearby cloth, cleaning some dirt from the FRAME.

Ryder's attention snapped to the music emerging from the opening cockpit. A veteran of the Panthers, it seemed, came into sight from within the FRAME. Her blank stare was short lived, for after he greeted the group, she simply turned back to Theta. As her gaze fell onto the FRAME, her mind started to wander. Their Commanding Officer seemed nice enough, though the Field Commander seemed a bit harsh. Nothing Ryder wasn't expecting to deal with. She wasn't one to get on people's bad sides anyways.

Then her thoughts moved on to the mission. She was simply planning ahead and thinking over each of the pilots that spoke up during the briefing, trying to analyze their personalities to figure out how they would act in combat. It was almost a habit for her. Throughout all her time in thought, passing the Panther's little test didn't really cross her mind. Ryder had just planned to do what she normally did. That has gotten her this far.

Ryder then activated her FRAME, opening the cockpit and peering inside to make sure everything was in order. With a quick sweep of the interior, she sat inside with the cockpit still open. She brought a hand to her hair brushing it to the best of her abilities with just her hand for now. From there, she simply waited, watching each of the other pilots, silently. It was almost as if she was silently sizing up her fellow recruits, but she really had no opinions on them. Ryder never really liked or disliked any of her co-workers before, unless they got cocky. Ryder had a very set in stone 'Prepare for the worst' mentality.

Ryder then went through each of the recruits that spoke at the briefing, forming her opinions of each. First off, there was the man that asked about payment, Jason. Ryder figured it was typical mercenary behavior, but felt this could lead to him putting himself before others. There was also another who spoke up, asking about the details of the mission. She was comfortable with Cecilia, so she must have been a veteran. Ryder gave herself a silent nod. She figured she could trust this girl when things went bad. Finally, came the talkative one, Harold. He sure hadn't gotten off well with Cecilia, not to mention he had said he was better supporting then fighting. That was worrying, but Ryder pushed it out of her head. She'd have to watch him to make sure he wasn't directly attacked. That was everyone who spoke at the conference. The only other person Ryder had heard speak so far was the man that was in his FRAME during the meeting. He must also have been a veteran, but he fell asleep in his cockpit? Ryder, absent-mindedly started wondering if that had ever happened during combat, sending Bernard a perplexed look, but shortly looking away.

She quickly went back to routine checking of all her FRAME's systems until moments before their mission was to begin. Ryder always made sure to be early, so she was in her FRAME and secure a few minutes beforehand.
Ryder sat with a stone cold expression in the waiting area among her fellow recruits. She was silent, completely silent as she awaited their CO. Other than the occasional blinking or tapping of the foot, she sat nearly completely still with a morose look upon her face. As one of the first ones to arrive in the waiting area, she found herself sending stares to each other pilot. Looking them up and down, subtly as she inspected them. This lasted a while before her thoughts began to wander.

Ryder's memories were clouded before her incident, so her thoughts switched to her FRAME. She was by no means an expert, but she learned the ropes and was battle ready, especially outside of the FRAME. Ryder's eyes flicked shut as she imagined being immersed in her Zaruga once more. This lasted mere moments, though, before two people entered the waiting room, but not from the same door the recruits had emerged from. Ryder directed her attention to the female in front as she spoke.

Ryder silently obeyed Cecilia's command, standing from her original seat and heading to take a seat near the front of her commander's screen so she could view it easily. She leaned her elbows on the divide in front of her seat, listening attentively as she soaked in the mission information.

"Cradle Dynamics has requested that we intercept a Paloka Industries shipping convoy, passing between New Lundregen to Kent.” Her Commanding Officer stated. Ryder looked to her belt as he did so, tapping a hand gently on the weapon holstered at her side. The mission could get dangerous for her fellow Panthers in an instant, and although they would be in their frames, she always felt safer with the weaponry at her side. Ryder paused for a mere few moments as Cecilia finished, waiting for anyone's questions to be answered and then hastily pushing herself to her feet and heading to inspect her FRAME for the mission without a word.
A cool idea. I am definitely interested.
