I like that idea!! ^^

I was thinking of maybe the trainers getting stuck in a blizzard or storm? Or we could have a festival/tournament event?
Hi guys! I was hoping to make the OOC more active! I wanted to throw around different ideas for events, maybe? And just talk to ya'll in general.
Apparently realizing that there were actual children present within the lab, waiting for their first pokemon, Professor Willow heaved a massive sigh and slowly shut his weathered eyes. His hands paused clacking on the keyboard and he pushed his chair back, standing up. The dark-skinned, pale-haired professor eyed the to-be trainers with deadpanned eyes, not appearing impressed in the slightest. Making his way towards them, he grabbed a clipboard off of another, messily-organized desk.

"Cut the chit-chat for now." His voice was sharp. "I have pokemon and pokedexes to give out." And then he had to get back to work. The white-haired individual suppressed an annoyed groan at the very thought. "Sterling is first." He spoke in a more mellowed manner than he had previously. "Piplup was your chosen starter." It appeared that the pokeballs were all organized on a nearby coffee table, with names next to them. "Pokedexes are next to the group of pokeballs. Grab one."

Moving in a hurried manner, Sterling quickly grabbed the Pokeball with his name next to it, as well as the red pokedex. He had no mind to irritate the snappy professor. Professor Willow absolutely ignored David's presence--because he was busy and any visitors should actually announce when they're coming, and not barge in without permission. Although his family supposedly personally knew the professor, he still made sure to keep on his best behavior.

"After I hand these out, I guess you'll meet your mentor. If he's not late." A twinge of irritation could be heard on Willow's tone, hinting that said mentor was already late.
Professor Willow is by far one of my favorite characters that I've ever created.

...He has a very unpleasant personality. Not your typical pokemon professor.

What a yappy young fellow.
Sterling wasn't expecting to meet another one of the to-be trainers. But he welcomed it... At least, until the newcomer began spouting off about stealing first pokemon and whatnot. A little phased by the unfriendly greeting, Sterling blinked a couple of times at the younger male. He knew that there were plenty of pokemon to go around, right?

"...You do realize that you reserved the pokemon you wanted by signing up, right?" The pale-haired young man spoke to the younger, as though befuddled by his hostile behavior. "You should relax, and think before you behave in such an uncouth and unfriendly manner." Truthfully, Sterling was a little irritated by the younger's rash behavior, but he soon brushed it off.

"Forgive me." He sighed slowly. "That wasn't very nice of me. My name's Sterling, Sterling Xavier Alexander Chandler Charbonneau that is. I'm also here to get a pokemon--so I'll head in with you." He stated, stepping inside the lab. The glass doors parted for him, allowing the lobby's chilly air to hit him.

A surprisingly young man in a lab coat sat typing at a computer. His white hair was impossibly thick, as well as curly. His jawline was bold and sharp, and he had a handsome, almost dreamy appearance about him. However, his green eyes were sharp, with bags underneath them. His skin tone was a deep, pretty bronze.
@Zerofighter
And he's definitely approved! Can't wait to see him in action!

The roleplay has officially started!!

@Zerofighter

There will also be a side of the roleplay devoted to the gym leaders! I'll start it soon after I get the new trainers started!
"...So the Wheel of Fate is turning..."

A small beep from his cellphone. He picks it up, reads the message quickly.

"The experiment was successful. But he broke out, sir. We have no idea where he's headed and what his intentions are."

He doesn't care. Experiment 008 will not cause any harm to their operations. He makes a speedy reply.

"It doesn't matter. He knows not to intervene. Don't message me again. I'm expecting company."

The blinds open. He welcomes the new day.

Anvil Town, 9 AM on the dot

It was a bright, sunny day. Perfect for welcoming new trainers to Anvil Town. Throughout the next week or so, new and upcoming trainers, breeders and such would be arriving to receive their very own pokemon, and pokedexes! As well as receiving the necessary equipment, they would also meet their mentor. In the Giga Region, it was customary for every new generation of trainers to have a mentor or two, to guide them when necessary and such. People bustled throughout the rustic town, and most of the public's attention was settled upon the local train station, where the new trainers would be arriving.

"What delightful country air! So sweet, so marvelous!" A young man declared, stepping off the train. He shone with extravagance, and his very presence seemed to demand attention. "I wonder... my princess... Could she be here?" Sterling Xavier Alexander Chandler Charbonneau was a wealthy young man. Although a bit spoiled, he was giving, trusting to the point of being naive, and a soul who was eager to learn. Bag over his shoulder, he high-tailed it out of the station and into the streets, where he marveled at the vendors and the rustic aura the town gave off. Charming, it was beautiful in it's very own way.

He soon spotted a pristine, white building. It stuck out like a sore thumb. Immediately, he recognized it as the Pokemon professor's laboratory. A grin played on his lips, and his pace quickened. He moved through thin alleyways and even waved to friendly passerby, who responded to his amiable gestures. Eventually, he stood at the sliding, glass doors of the lab.

One more step, and his fate would be changed forever.
Yep, yep~ I plan to start today.
