I think the UA has been around for a while now.

If you're not a UA member you can probably just do whatever you want for your first few posts. My faction has a non-voting member so I may jump into the meeting, but I could also just not. We'll see.

EDIT: I made some slight changes to the my app (mostly wording) and completely changed the 'government' tab.

Just a suggestion, but maybe instead of pasting our whole sheets into that first IC post, you should list the factions and hyperlink them to our actual app post in the OOC, that way you don't have to constantly edit changes we make to our sheets. Because, as I said, I will probably make changes and additions and I know you probably don't want to be going back and forth all the time. The little paperclip/chain symbol on the top right of every post gives you the link to that specific post, so you can use that to link to the apps.

@Polybius Alright, I can drop a few lines into the History when the RP starts and jump right in. I will say though, that I will probably work on my sheet as the RP progresses. I'm not great with sheets because I'm too picky about how I word things, and I dislike setting things in stone because I prefer to just develop my nation as I go. So expect my sheet to be updated, and things to be changed. I'll always let everyone know though, so no sneaky edits to worry about.

EDIT: I made some very slight edits to my sheet yesterday where I clarified that the Collective's actions against the Concordance and the Mandate have been "indirect." As in, they aren't taking responsibility for any of it even though it's pretty clear that they are involved. This is because they'd rather not piss of space-Nato, of which the Concordance is a part of.

That doesn't matter, though, since battles will be decided by the participants. If I decide it benefits the narrative for you to beat me, it doesn't matter what kind of weapons you have. What matters is that somehow you'll defeat me and it'll further the story somehow.

Palathyn Collective

Three pillars make up the government of the Palathyn Collective. The first and most powerful of the pillars is the military, whose role is to protect and police the state and its citizens. The second pillar, commonly referred to as the Builders, or Creators, is made up of craftsmen, masons and the like; those dedicated to creating and providing needed goods, from farmers to shipwrights. The third pillar is made up of scholars and scientists; the great minds spearheading scientific and technological advancement.

The three pillars work separately, each with their own hierarchy, but come together to form the Collective. Every citizen is required to serve under one of these pillars, and in this sense the Collective is an almost knightly, or fraternal organization. Individuals are assigned to one of the three branches based on their abilities, but may request reassignment if they can prove to be more valuable elsewhere.

The Palathyn Collective builds its society with the aim to create an efficient machine where every citizen contributes in some capacity. The hierarchy within the three pillars is meritocratic and as such an individual's place is determined solely by their capabilities. However, by right, everyone is guaranteed a place where they can serve and prosper. Those outside the pillars are known as Outcasts and are not considered citizens.

The Palathyn Collective does not abide by the Unity Accords and therefore continues the production and active use of controversial technologies on both sides of the spectrum, including weapons of mass destruction, Faster-Than-Light travel, and gene-manipulation.

The Collective holds a controversial position in interstellar politics. Despite its dealings with forbidden technology and its on-going (shadow) conflict with the Golgotha, the Collective holds a non-voting member in the Galactic Council and attempts to maintain diplomatic relations with its members.

More importantly, the Collective fundamentally opposes the restrictions put in place by the Accords, as well as the inaction of the Galactic Council with regards to the Golgotha remnants. Despite this, the Collective has not engaged in war with members of the alliance.

Vicimer remains thoroughly unconvinced that the Concordance truly wants peace, and has been Archon Velian's most vocal critic in the Galactic Council. But most of all, the Collective faults the Council itself for its inaction against the Golgotha and its failure to punish those responsible for the deaths of billions. He has called the Council's willingness to "wait and see" what becomes of the Concordance a "fool's gambit" and has warned against a possible military resurgence that could finish what the Mandate started.

Since its inception, the Collective has waged a sort of shadow war against Golgothan remnants throughout the galaxy. FTL-equipped vessels have on numerous occasions struck Golgothan targets using nuclear devices. The attacks have been indiscriminate, targeting both military and civilian targets in a series of retaliatory attacks with no end in sight. For years, the Collective has been a constant terror for both the Concordance and the Mandate, but officially, these attacks are attributed to rogue elements and terrorists, known as Outcasts. The Collective itself denies any involvement.

Although the Collective has been critical of the Concordance's seat at the Galactic Council, it has in truth benefited greatly from it. Its obligation to the Accords has kept the Concordance's armed forces incapable of striking back or pursuing Collective vessels. To this day no one knows where Palathyn is - only that it is only reachable by FTL technology. Its location has been the Collective's most guarded secret, with an army of counter-intelligence specialists and heavy restrictions on travel making the exact location of Palathyn indecipherable.

The Collective's refusal to abide by the Accords stems from a desire to neutralize the Golgotha before they can recover and strike back. The Galactic Council's willingness to disarm itself is seen by the Collective as absolute folly.

I have been imagining the Llyr Empire as something similar to the Austrian Empire, with one group in-charge of many ethnic and cultural groups (and in this case species) with fewer rights. Is that fine?
