Bodies littered the ground. Covered in dirt, bruised and bloodied, they were now fuel for the earth to neutralize and create new life. There was already so much work for the Mother to do here, but the lives of the negative were best to neutralize than those of the innocent and righteous. Ramando's heart vibrated a grievance and silent mourning for those he felled this night, the same he'd done when he'd first arrived in this unfortunate city.
He kept his quarterstaff close, prepared to continue this battle deep into the night and preparing to fell more enemies that threatened the weak and dying. He looked to Parum, eyeing over her body in a quick inspection for injuries. It seemed the only one injured in this fight was the Green Man, Orchid. Though, he seemed largely unfazed by his injuries despite their apparent severity. Perhaps he placed his sense of protection over the wrong individual.
It was difficult to avert his attention to the guardsmen who'd entered to see if the area was cleared. One of the men's questions took him by surprise. Wouldn't they know best how to proceed. Ramando wasn't a soldier learned in the ways of military tactics and strategy, and he knew this. There was no trick for him to perform that would end this battle, this siege. So he looked to Brannor'sir and his captive Ramando never intended, but never wished to actually kill at the same time. If any of them would know how to proceed, it would be the one with the captive or the, clearly, intellectual Bard that proved a powerful asset to their band.
@c3p-0h Haha! Yeah, I could tell. Seems to be "hot headed" in that way. I liked how you pulled off the fact she's chasing headlong into something she's totally unprepared for but still calm enough to make quick decisions that solves a problem with the least resistance. It really showed a lot of character development. I just wanted to voice my appreciations for your efforts. ^^

@Xan the G Although, I'm not helping much either. I'm at a loss of how to get him to where he needs to go. I'm still brainstorming of things I can do to make it happen. I'll probably implement a small time skip to get it going. I feel bad for failing you. :(
@c3p-0h Awesome post! Very well written (not that you've never made a good post). I'm just saying it read well for an intense action scene. ^^
Well, everyone started with their own introductory posts and I've been replying to them relatively individually. If you you're interested in interacting with a certain character, you can PM them. You can PM me if you have an idea but want help brainstorming. This story is really run by the players and is generally sandboxy.
But you could start by describing where she is and what she's doing/planning in the immediate future and will go from there. Just a post to get a feel for the character and the setting.
@Prints Avoid No rush. After today, there's no way I'm emotionally stable enough to not stay in bed and do nothing. :'(
So, I'm going to plan not being able to post this weekend. So if you're thinking of posting, there's still time to get something in. ^^
@Kymera Love it. This is going to get interesting.
Haha a okay. Just let me know if you change your mind again xP
Yes, the second blow will go to the man. (I won't be able to edit that in properly until the same time tomorrow, though)
His open mind in a chaotic situation observed all. The Kobold off to his right flipped a stone in a sling, and without a slight movement, the stone passed by him without consequence. With the Kobolds' bodies lying in front of him, he made his next plan of attack. The Slinging Kobold was swiftly cut down by the Paladin, who decided to make the safe choice rather than the valorous choice of rushing to Orchid's aid as he was immediately swarmed by three enemies.
The Drake, though having took much damage, still stood, and an aura passed to him from the human, healing the dart's wound and generally revitalizing the beast. The Kobold moved to surround and overwhelm the Green Man, having the basic capacity that they would overpower the individual if there were greater numbers attacking it. Ramando had to act immediately in order to save his, largely, unacquainted ally.
A few steps and he was next to the Kobold who'd struck at Orchid, seemingly with futility. It's body on the ground, lifeless bloody, Ramando gripped his carved quarterstaff with both hands and used the tactic of inertia, holding on end of the staff with the other end as the point to make contact. However, this sacrificed accuracy for assumed power. He aimed for the human who, apparently, was acting as some kind of healer.
