I know I suggested the collab. Still, I never actually did one before. Do one of you two mind posting it? I'm not too sure on how it's supposed to be cleaned up and organized.
So, since no one used it. Platinum made a link in the OOC for a collab post. I put my plans on what I was going to do there. If @Eklispe and @Lasrever want to work on it. I'm trying to allow time for things to be done. Still, there is a surprising lack of anything here. I will continue to try and make this a collab rather than me doing my own thing. If anyone thinks we should just do our own thing. That would be nice to say. I can work either way, but currently I am assuming this is a collab.
Bob was staring at the destruction of the inn, not out of sadness it was gone. He was more focused on all that loot that will not be claimed by anyone now. Still, with everyone here and the spider asking once again what they were supposed to do since the only person with a clue of what to do is dead. Bob was considering asking if it was too much to just go to Yashar and ask him personally. They were hired by him, right? His thoughts were destroyed by distant stomping. Oh great, is that another "group member" or someone mad they burned the inn?

He didn't have to wonder very long as the ground shook with the force of a ghoulish skull shattering upon the ground. Was that a skeleton, and did it kill a ghoul? The time for questions was not now as the skeleton spoke one sentence. He was hired as well by Yashar? This day was about to get a lot worse. Bob still decided that only he was qualified to introduce the supposed group he was a part of. He didn't make any sign of moving towards the towering skeleton that looked like it was about to strangle anything that got to close. Instead, he yelled from a distance he deemed safe.

"Don't tell me, you are also joining this group? I didn't know the standards were so low that even common monsters with even the faintest signs of intelligence were allowed. This is starting to look like the cannon fodder team. My name is Bob, that's Stink the Orc. We also have a giant spider over there. Those two giant beasts are not that important, seeing as they are as bright as the Ogre. Also, the entire inn was destroyed by Stink and the spider. So, we already lost the elf guy. Do you have a name, or should I just call you Rage?"

He grinned at the names he came up with quickly. That should teach them for having the reaction time of an Ogre. Now to back away slightly from Rage before he starts a rampage on everyone here. This mission must have been important if he let the first things that responded to do this. Still, they didn't even start the quest. The elf died already and it looks like more are about to follow suit.
I must consult with the others, but if @Lasrever and @Eklispe are okay. I think a triple battle is exactly the right kind of way to kick the journey off with a bang. by all means, Martin, Dawkin, and Abigail vs. Simon, Maple, and Ellyn should be a lot of fun. I mean, they can say no to this. I can wait if this is a great idea. If you two say no, I'll still have to see if I'm going after Simon or Maple. Since this would be the right time to make sure Abigail and I don't awkwardly declare the same opponent IC.

@PlatinumSkink
I am down for a double battle if any spots are available. That being said, Martin wants to fight Simon or Maple. They both have a lot of cheer and enthusiasm for this. I am aware Maple was considered by Pirrouette, so that's why I gave two preferences.
Martin was back to paying attention to Kalmia as she resumed speaking. There were a lot of Pokemon in the room as it was, but watching the mighty Rhyperior on it's belly was actually kind of funny. As she explained the routes, it was as he figured. Route 1 was pretty safe, he barely spotted anything along his way here. Route 2 sounded a lot more interesting. Infested Woods, Wet Caverns, sign him up for this stuff. It might be a bit riskier, but perhaps he could find some people to travel with. Beat having to walk by himself, which was so boring as it was. He was a bit torn on wanting to properly train on Route 1 due to how close it would be to a Poke Center.

Still, Jacques was ready to swoop in with whatever trash he was spewing. It turns out he also had a group of new trainers, and that meant competition. The back and forth conversation just confirmed that the two didn't like each other. Martin couldn't blame her, it wasn't easy to listen to him. Still, new trainers meant that there would be a new opponent, rival even. He noticed Dawkin recalling his Pokemon. Looked like a good idea, if anyone were to be picking, wouldn't want to influence their choice from something they wanted for a type advantage instead. He looked crouched down and looked at Nincada. "Hey, we're gonna be doing a fight soon. So I want to make sure you get the rest for it. Time to return for now." Nincada nodded before a flash of red light recalled him. Martin picked his hat back up and put it on his head again.

Martin stood up again and looked at Kalmia. "If there's a fight, count me in. Got to show people why bugs are no laughing matter." He was pumped for this, but what would be next? He should find others who were going for Route 2 later. It's a lot safer to travel in a group after all. He swapped the bag to the other shoulder and stood to the side. It might be a bit until that's ready. For now, it was time for a snack, he pulled a granola bar out of his bag. He was already wondering what Pokemon this new group would be using.
If we are talking about the game. I would be Gary Oak. Is this Pokemon weaker than another? Release that useless trash and trade up. Opponent uses a psychic type? Grab type advantage and crush them. Opponent too hard? Power level until the difficulty curve of the game is a gentle hill I can go to sleep and still win. There is a major difference between the game and say, a role play. We are not Gary Oak, okay maybe one of us could have said they were. Still, it's not exactly fair to compare this to the game.

Can we do things more efficiently and crush our opponents under out team of 6 LV 100s? Absolutely, but no one here is going to do that. Just because someone could, I doubt anyone IC is going to sit there and say "train my Pokemon until I can crush boulders by looking at them". I mean, getting a Pokemon for type advantage is a good idea if a certain Pokemon is crushing you. I could fight with a team of Magikarp cause it's good role play. I would get crushed all day long, and realize I might want to change my team a bit.

Wow, I am back and forth on this as well... I shall have to consider the options, but a Gym isn't some place that scales it's power cause you asked for easy mode. It is a wall, you either get over it, or you find out how much you like getting punched in the face. If you are able to one shot it, maybe move onto the major leagues. Just some thoughts on this. Since, you know, it exploded pretty quickly.
Hold the phone, Sound Cannon on a wagon? A drooling head that fires ear rape and god knows how much drool? Hope you don't mind the fact this will look horrible awesome! This will be dangerous for everyone nearby, but who would let that stop them from doing it anyways? Maybe we could consider really good ear plugs so we end up shouting all the time while our theme blares in the background. Who needs stealth when they will run in fear from hearing our advance?

All right, we just got to stick an amplifier up to the radio elf and crank it to 11. Drool is optional, but it is vital to rub as much salt in their wounds as possible. Best super weapon ever.
@PlatinumSkink I made the mistake of counting Aron as a ground type when I was writing that. Add Rhyperior and there were what I thought was 4 ground types in the room. So, it was only 3, still that is enough to be the major type in the lab. Small mistake, but I am still right.
Martin was impressed by the wide variety of Pokemon. Looks like everyone else had the same idea. Skip the reading and get right into the best part, seeing your own Pokemon. He took out his Pokedex to scan all of the starting Pokemon. Looks like Ground was a common type, poor Shinx didn't stand a chance. Still, there was a lack of poison or ghost types. Martin was kind of hoping to spot at least one of them, they were cool to look at. That just means he will have to add them to his team later. He looked at his Nincada, now he was pumped to get started.

This lab was already starting to fill when Jacque decided here was a good place to show his Pokemon. With a flash of red light, a gigantic orange rock showed up. it immediately roared it's name, "RRRRHHHHHHYYYYYYYYY... perior!" Nincada was trying to figure out what was going on. All it understood was it was suddenly loud and that something big was there. It was trying to back itself away from the irritating source of the noise. He responded with some kind of shriek in confusion. Martin covered his ears from now two Pokemon yelling. He had to stop and comfort Nincada, guess the little guy isn't a fan of sudden loud noises. That, and this bug is really loud.

Martin grabbed his Pokedex, what was this thing? The thing said it was a Rhyperior, so a ground/rock type. Now he was sure Ground was real popular around here. Kalmia already was talking again, the first few lines lost to Martin thinking of what to do next. This thing can make the sounds of the Pokemon? Well, that could actually be used as a good lure for future Pokemon, after he caught one of them anyways. Let's see, you can map spots you find them, and share them. That could be pretty useful, easier to work together to find them all rather than everyone running their own direction.

The pay was actually an interesting thing. Guess that covers how they were to self fund this journey. Got to buy Pokeballs to catch Pokemon to get paid, to buy more. There even was incentive to beat other Trainers, with no penalty for losing. This thing already was a technological marvel, but it still had even more things it could. Phones and digital storage, along with Trainer Cards linking everything to you... Martins head was spinning from how long this list of things was becoming. How can you possibly put this much stuff in such a small thing? It was for the best to put it in his pocket for now.

Yes, absolutely he had a lot of questions, but he didn't want to be that guy to question everything. Instead, he asked a question he felt was a much better choice. "I have only one question. Which Route would you suggest to go down first, Route 1 or 2?"
