Fine with me. Accepted.

Though Stealth could possibly be ranked 2.

Okay cool, I fixed. Thanks!
Please let me know if there is a particular time-period or genre that I am supposed to stick to when making these. I'm still new and any pointers or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Alec Von Huus

Height: 6'2"
Weight: 200lbs
Age: 26
Race/Species: Human

Tier/Influence: 1

Appearance: Alec stands tall amongst his people, though despite his stature is not particularly strong of body. His short auburn hair and pale opal skin, coupled with the filth of travel, tends to mark him as an outsider wherever he goes. A ragged, hand stitched, brown longcoat over simple clothes is all he can afford to keep warm and dry in the elements.

Abilities, Talents, Traits, Powers:
  • ( 2 ) Charismatic -- a short lifetime of living job-to-job and having to swindle, on occasion, to eat gives Alec the ability to bond with or manipulate some susceptible individuals.

  • ( 2 ) Stealth -- as with his skills of speech-craft, Alec learned to hide and blend with the shadows by stealing food and having to hide from local authorities on a regular basis.

Items:
  • ( 1 ) Walking staff -- an old oak root, meeting his height in length, carved down to a walking stick with leather hand wraps tied tightly around it's shaft.

  • ( 1 ) Carving knife -- a six inch, handmade knife Alec keeps hidden away in his boot.

  • ( 1 ) Wooden juggling balls -- a set of articulately carved balls Alec uses to entertain himself or others.

History: At a very young age Alec San Huus was orphaned, his parents dieing slowly of the plague, and with no other living relatives was forced out of home and onto the street by the land baron. Lost and afraid he nearly starved, having no one to help or protect him. His stomach sunken, body filthy, and at deaths door a final sign of hope came into his life. Odrick, an entertainer by trade, found the child wrapped in rags and digging through refuge for old fruit. Being an older gentleman with no children, and somewhat charitable means, he took him in as his own.
Years passed and Alec took up his adopted father's occupation. He learned to juggle and sing, and was soon making his own way entertaining drunks at inns across the land. Odrick was a stern teacher, keeping him up most nights with lessons and punishing him harshly when he fell asleep, though never did the young man question his affection. Their bond grew stronger as they traveled, working and living together, from inn to inn. Alec had finally found compassion in his life, having practically forgotten about his real parents, and clung to it fervently.
At the age of sixteen, tragedy struck again, as he knew it inevitably would. Alec found his guardian dead in his bed, one quiet winter morning, his heart finally failing him. Racked with grief, poor Alec fled the city, convinced that the world around him was collapsing. Lost and afraid again, he fell into his old ways, stealing food and sneaking through small towns by night. He had made an attempt to continue entertaining for a wage but couldn't do so without Odrick. The crowd that once fed him now seemed menacing and frightening, leaving him frozen before their uninterested gaze.
Unable to perform, Alec found himself swindling merchants at dice by day and robbing their customers by night. Each time, reminding him of Odrick, and just how ashamed the old man would have been. Sick with remorse, he tried to give up his nefarious ways several times, though life seemed to give him no choice. A decade passed and the young man found himself working as a scout for passing parties, trying to make an honest living again. It was a hard life but one that allowed him to go on without guilt.

My particular fascination is with Hastur and the Byahkee, but Dagon is pretty badass too.

Yes! A good monster is hard to develop, but can match up to any psychological thriller anytime.

Well, don't be shy then. I also hope that list includes Lovecraftian horrors though I can forgive if it doesn't.

But of course! Dagon is still riveting, after all these years. The movie....meh, but still a good representation.
Thank you, very much! I definitely will be having a few questions in the near future haha, and it is always nice to have horror fans in the building. It's nice to meet you all!

...you...
Hello and thanks for having me! I'm John or Poorat or just Poo, whichever you prefer, and this role-playing is somewhat of a new thing for me. I enjoy writing in my free time and am hoping that this can help me develop a few skills that, I feel, I am lacking in. Though i'm partial to the fantasy/horror genre, I also enjoy romance and the occasional science-fiction story. Once I figure out how this all works and get a feel for the site, I hope to become a frequent poster.
I hope that I did the introduction right and that I get to meet many of you soon. Thanks again!

And yes, I know come I off as a robot at first but I swear it'll get better once I've been here a little while haha.
