Suppressing a chuckle at the obviously very undignified sound made by the male only moments ago, Viltez chastises himself once more for watching him like that. 'If I had called from afar, I would not have startled him so, and he would not have shot so far off the mark. I have heard many a hunter curse at losing their arrows, and. . .Maybe he will not want me to come with now. Now that I've already disturbed a shot. That really was very rude of me. . .I hope he doesn't want me to stay home after that, I really did not meant to startle him. . . .'

His fretting continues even as his guest greets him, stating the obvious while brushing off his near immaculate clothing. He chews his lip, not being able to meet his eyes for several seconds, until at last Aryx makes a statement obviously inviting Viltez to sill accompany him on his hunt. A rush of relief cascades through him and he offers a wide smile, his eyes barely noticing the flush on the man's cheeks and he merrily moves forwards towards the wood. His eyes do however follow him when he runs off and retrieves his arrow.

'I am glad he was able to find it so quickly and easily. I was afraid it may have been lost, then I would owe him a new one, no matter what he would have to say about it' As they slowly approach the forest, the sun still high, but definitely pass the high point, the beast man tilts his head to the side, thinking of how to answer the man's question. 'Well, it was not a bad day, however neither was it by any measure better than any other. It was a day, like so many others, passed in a mix of trepidation and contentment, light up points when I completed a task, and relative low points when I was left to think to myself for too long. . .'

Deciding that his life holds no real interest in it, at least not something that may intrigue his guest from another land, he decides on a simple narrative. “Nothing too disagreeable happened, though it was by far not the most agreeable day I've ever had. It was an average in my life, a morning of hard labor, a mid day of errands and odd jobs. I suppose one could call a lack of incident agreeable, though I am not sure how you would judge near misses.” His mind falls back to the lady, and then to his later fears and pondering, falling silent as he thinks. They enter the wood moments later, the sun being almost instantly blocked out by the very thick foliage high above. There are many smaller trees, and on some of the giant trees there are branches leading all the way to the top, but for the most part the trees surrounding the path only have branches high above the heads of any traveler seeking to pass beneath their boughs.
Alexi does not see the growing anger in the vampire's eyes, does not see the glow that, should he see it so close, would very likely would have him returning the fierce look with one of bliss and admiration. Instead his eyes remain on the floor as the silence stretches on between them, the fog in his head doing nothing for his ability to concentrate on anything save the simplest of thoughts for a time. Seven his normally constantly calculating mind falls down to the lowest common denominator as he feels a part of his brain almost seizing up.

'I do not like this, not one bit. I first insist that he must have a clear head to make his decision, and here I am making important decisions with my mind less than half of what it should be. Truly, I must be mad' Hie manages to drag his head up a bit, wanting to see just what the bound man looks like as he thinks, only to be met with those dazzlingly beautiful red orbs. For a split second he feels the strong urge to reach out and draw the vampire closer, wanting to see those eyes more deeply, however the moment passes as the man begins speaking. In that instant his gaze had slipped into one of longing, but it snaps to attention the very second Erik begins addressing him.

As he comes to the end of his speech a soft smile curls the human's lips. He can not help the action, despite a piece of his mind insisting that it may very likely simply add to the other's already fiercely evident anger. At first, he does not answer to the man's words, simply letting out a sigh and offering up words on a completely different subject. He doesn't even bother to check the swearing. “I chose well. You are indeed the right one for this, as you prove again and again with each rebuff you throw my way, and with each lash of your virulent tongue. Anything less and I would not be able to complete my side with as much certainty that I feel has grown over the short time you have been here. . .”

He lets out another sigh, pulling his arm back to look at the now gauze covered wrist. He twists the arm this way and that, not really inspecting it, but more using it as something to bring his mind to focus. “I would beg your forgiveness for my selfish eccentricities, if I indeed felt sorrow at them, however I see not point, only clouding my mind and heart further. I weep that you must be bound, but bound you must be. I fear what binding will do for my heart when next I feel that great well of emotions flowing so strongly, so harshly inside your breast, inside my own. However, you may take that fact, my willingness to take such pain, to perhaps understand the importance of what I am trying to do. My willingness to risk such pain and sorrow, for something I find essential.”

A faint chuckle finds it's way to his lips, a pounding headache setting up behind his eyes. “As to the last, you offer to take up my life and dash it should my words ring false to your ears enough o lose all faith in me. . .” He spreads his hands wide, casting Joseph a glance he should recognize as one to express his seriousness and perhaps an indirect order. A moment later his gaze returns to the bound male and his smile fades into a serious look. “If you find me false, by the fourth dose, the dose you may still recover from, then I offer my life up for you to take as you will.” He knows there will be objections from Joseph at this, however he feels the sooner the better to state such an intention. Reaching up with his uninjured arm he brushes back his hair and lets out a little whine, his eyes falling closed with the pain.
Rei nods his assent to holding his tongue in check around the prince's family member, intending not only that, but to speak with them only when necessary. It is clear by the young man's statements throughout their short time together that the fae is now an integral part of the princes life, whether he wishes such or not, and he feels no need to make his job more difficult by committing some social faux pas he has no knowledge of in the first place. 'If at all possible, I hope to have this young man at my side at all times possible. If there is need to talk to his family, I am sure he can pass on my words in a way suitable to their liking'

His eyes once more travel to the trees, his hand coming up to make sure his hat is secure. “Before, when I showed you the scar upon my arm, you took pause, your countenance changing greatly from one moment to the next. I could not read you, though when alone with me you are mostly simple to understand. This pause reminded me of a question I posed to myself the night we met, and again last night when I went to check on you in the night.” He glances over at Alessandro, explaining himself quickly, but with an unhurried tone. “I did not sneak in, I walked in from the secret passage, my own natural light step keeping you from noticing me.”

His eyes flit from those of the prince to his shoulder then back to the trees. “As I was saying, my scar seemed to have affected you, reminding me of the ones I saw upon your own flesh. I recognize several of them as cane marks, having seen many an example of them not only in books, but with my own eyes on nobles and the like I have slain in the past. The man who raised me closest what the first to explain them to me, after a kill where first I saw them.” His gaze comes back down to look towards the prince.

“I would like to know who has authority to use a cane on you, the crowned prince of this land. Not only so I do not kill them on accident thinking them a threat, but for my own curiosity over why one such as yourself, the second highest station in the land, not including you mother, would be struck thusly. One wrong swing delivered harder than intended and you could be crippled, even killed on accident. . .” His voice trails off, his gaze resting steadily on the young man. The light plays across his face in patches, making his skin almost seem to dance to the fae's eyes.

Ah, but as we all know, there is nothing so fickle as the heart. He is not passionately set on not falling into a meaningful relationship, so Shigetoshi may yet have a chance to change the shinigami's mind!
I give complements where complements are due :P

No, no, he's as he is, because that how he is, and I wouldn't have him any other way :P
But of course. Unfortunately for Shigetoshi, even if Tatsuki consents to the idea of being with him, in his own mind he'll be betraying his beliefs and resolve to make it something superficial if he can, which will of course be heartbreaking if our dear Innkeeper ever finds out :P
*Laughs loudly* I am starting to feel more and more sorry for our poor innkeeper :P
Do you want to time skip, or should I?
Sure! How about we have an outing, to a park or a theater or a aquarium? Having them talk in more public surroundings. Maybe even have it there that the person spots Zach and gets the first inkling of his story not being true. It could be a street kid, or perhaps a church patron, but they do not bring it up until later, when out guys are a little closer? (By the way, out of all those options, I like aquarium best :P)
