With a rolling of his eyes at the warning the Nightmare Guardian covers them with a hand to try and lessen the impact of using a dream portal. The bright lights do not manage to make it through his hand and the only after effect this time is a queasy stomach. 'It gotta be the positive energy,t hat's the only option at this point' He takes several steadying breaths to try and bring himself back to normal, his eyes still closed as he listens to the words being spoken around him. 'Boy, she really would be lost without her brother. He carries with him what she lacks, and vice versa, though I think he could live longer on his own than she could'

His eyes slide open as Enasi loosens his grip, his own remaining firm on the other. He doesn't want to let the other male go until absolutely necessary. He smiles at the feeling of the boys racing towards them, slowing a block away around a corner as to not appear suddenly out of nowhere. 'So well trained. Does my heart good. . .' Rasha is obviously disappointed not to have Kaila around, however he fixes his expression before they come into view. Finn and Starla remain properly tense until the familiar faces come around the corner, arms held up in the position of peace. As soon as they are sure they are not going to be attacked they approached quickly.

Inui shivers at the feeling of their negative energy, everyone else save for Seishu only feeling it for a brief moment before they lock it away to avoid making the dream denizens sick. Not wanting to drop their energy Fin and Starla walk off a ways to take up guard positions. Seishu respects that in them actually, knowing it's safer to have at least a couple of his guards at peak energy. He offers up a warm smile to the boys, they stopping several paces away to salute, fist over chest. “Lan, Ran, good to see you again, I hope things are going well?”

As their eyes meet Seishu's blood chills in his veins. Lan, the elder, steps half a pace closer, a faintly worried look on his face. “Actually Master Seishu, we received reports of recent activity on the palace grounds that had us all worried about your safety.” Ran offers a sharp nod to confirm and Seishu has to swallow hard to not let the images resurface once more.

“I am sure I know what you are talking about, and while there was some fallout, as you can see I am well enough, and still on schedule to come for a visit the day after tomorrow.” It is easy for the boys to read the faint hints of hurt behind their guardian's eyes, however their training keeps them in check. They cast a glace at Rue who'd moved just far enough forward from behind Enasi to gaze up at Seishu, pity shining brightly in his eyes though he is still unsure of what happened to prompt the outburst not two hours prior. The two look at each other for another brief moment, wondering at how much and how openly the little Dream Minion seems to be worried about their guardian, before turning back to their lord to await his instruction.

Looking down to Inui, who is not only no longer attached to his side like a leech, but who also seems to be faintly curious about the others of his kind, Seishu offers a small smile before placing his hand on the little one's back and pushes him towards the curious brothers. He resists for only an instant before taking a couple steps forward to stare wide eyed into their faces. The two look to Seishu once more and he murmurs, “Gem, I want you to stay with them a bit. Talk about things. Whatever you are curious about.” The brothers salute once more, accepting their charge, and after a moment Inui copies the gesture, a faint happiness shinning in his eyes for some reason unknown to him.

With a long sigh Seishu finally lets his counterpart go and with a soft kiss before he can object he wanders off towards the nearest human prospect, his steps only faltering a couple times before he's out of sight. The brothers look to one another, faint glints in their eyes, then Lan touches Inui's shoulder, motioning for them to follow the guardian at a distance. “He hates being openly doted upon, however he never objects to a little stalking.” Ran whispers covertly, making the little minion giggle softly despite his nervousness.
Yeah, I'm thinking either the spell at the lake goes awry, maybe because it is interrupted by some locals, or perhaps on the way back to the house/fields, Chall does his lay line spell, and that's the one that backfires. Either slip up would latch him to Wren, though maybe not noticeably at first. It all depends on how the feel goes in the post around then.

I like how things are going, and I don't have any real requests as of yet. *Grin* I'm good, just hoping you're having as much fun as I am. And don't worry about the lag between posts. RL takes precedent after all!
As Joseph slips from the room, no doubt to get something to help him, Alexi's head sinks down between his hands and he lets out a little whine. He has not often had to suffer such pains, most of his pains coming from a scratch or a blow, so as the throbbing continues he carefully slips out of his top, dropping it to the floor to be retrieved later, and he carefully pulls himself up towards the head of his bed. A small chuckle escapes his lips as the rebel leader's words reach his ears. 'Yes, I understand the danger to myself perfectly, my dear Erik, however my confidence has not waned. Despite what loss I have taken in from you, I have as of yet to suffer any of my own, and I will not give up my faith'

Managing to get up to the pillows by the time Joseph gets back, the human sits up and obediently takes what is offered, handing back the small cup to his old mentor. He sits their silently for several minutes, just thinking to himself, and wondering upon certain things and flitting through various fantasies to try and set his mind at ease, if even a little bit. However he becomes too tired rather quickly and shifts the sheets around to try and get comfortable.

Alexi lay back into the pillows, his eyelids already drooping from the painkiller and sleeping pill mixed in with the blood loss. “You are no criminal, Erik. You are a knight. A knight fighting for his people, with naught in his heart but the righteous fury that makes you one of the finest men I've ever known, if not the finest. . .” As his voice trails off he adds lightly as a correction. “Forgive me, finest vampire. . .Or male I should say, to cast the net wider, heh. . . .” And with that, he slips away into the darkness. Moments after drifting off his hands slide up from their place on the still soiled coverlet to rest on either side of his head, making him look quite vulnerable and childlike.

Mois, use to his brother's inexplicable actions, taps his now empty plate gently, his own eyelids drooping as the lack of anything to do mixed with his difficult day, both coiling together to create weight upon those little flaps of flesh. 'Come now Alexi, you have to eat sometime. . .' He lets out a sift yawn and lay his head upon the table, sliding the plate to the side so he can rest directly on the tablecloth. Crossing his arms beneath his head, he begins snoozing.
Good luck! I am to bed, back in about 5 hours. I have 2 more replies before you, but will read before going to sleeps. See you in a while!
Yeah, I guess that could have been part of my thinking when typing up the post :P

Hmm. . . .I know dist and hair can be issues too. . . . .

And, yush, Alexi's perfectly fine with it all. Even in his right mind, he would be just as perfectly at ease and happy :P

The shinigami makes his way through the inn to his room, closing the door softly behind him. A small wave of depression rushes over him and with a groan he falls on to his futon and buries his face in the plush pillow. 'Has it really been so long since I was human? Did I not have normal relationships in my life. Have I lost all my abilities to interact normally with human beings without relying on my powers, or have I simply come across a man so hard to read that my skills at such go practically to waste?' A low groan issues once more from his lips and he bangs the back of his head lightly but sharply with his knuckles.

“I can not really be so clueless.” He murmurs into the pillow. “I spend all my days with humans, and even if I use my power, I am still looking at them. I have learned expressions just fine, it just that. . .” His head turns to the side, a look of concentration on his face. “It is that he purposefully has made himself hard to read, as his profession dictates. . .” Sitting up slowly Tatsuki goes over all their interactions and begins wondering at all the times the young man did not seem guarded, then wonders if he was guarded in those moments, just not as much. “It seems such a waste to hide your emotions away like that. . .”

He sits in quiet contemplation for several minute before the feeling of new souls approaching catches his attention. His stomach drops as he recognizes one of them as the soul he is here to guide, but he brushes the feeling aside swiftly. 'I still have several days, and it is my job after all' Standing slowly he makes his way over to the window and throws it open. In the distance he can see a group of five approaching and he narrows his eyes to see them better. 'For males and a female, all of mid twenties, most likely of English decent. . .' He huffs lightly, his eyes sliding over his target one last time before closing the window with a soft thump.

Having nothing better to do he decides to check out the members of the group ins slightly closer quarters and slips out of his room. With unhurried steps he makes his way to the entrance area, pausing at the edge of the hallway as he spots Shigetoshi, the focus of most of his late musings, standing behind the desk at the ready. Staying to the shadow just around the corner he waits patiently. 'Someone must have warned him of the group's approach. I doubt he actually spends much time in that position. . .' Moments later the door opens and the slightly loud group walks in, laughing at something or another.

They all kind of quiet down when one of the male's shushes the rest and approaches the front desk. It is immediately evident that his Japanese is spotty at best and Tatsuki steps out of the shadows, watching the exchange openly now. He feels the urge to offer his services as a translator, the young man's Japaneses bordering on infantile, but he waits silently, resisting the urge. However he does stay within sight, should Shigetoshi get the idea on his own to ask the well traveled man if he would aid him in understanding the confusing young man.
Kiel looks at the food presented to him on the plate and simply chuckles and takes it gratefully before sitting down at the table with s smile. Looking up at the young man he chuckles softly. “Thank you very much, Zach. It looks fine, and it smells divine.” He is telling the truth, much of his first cooking experiences ending as the boy's has, and in the end the food was always eatable, and with the predominant smell properly prepared bacon, the smell is enough to cover up any other scent that may hang in the air. Motioning tot he empty spot across from him Kiel stands only long enough to serve the drinks, then with a soft sigh, retakes his spot and begins consuming the carefully prepared meal.

The days pass in relative peace, Kiel learning very little about his guest, but being a patient and kind man, he takes solace in the young man's speedy recovery and praises the lord that he does not seem apt to run right back out on to the streets to get revenge or some such silliness. As they pass near a week and Zach is now able to walk more easily, Kiel makes plans to take him away from the church on an outing. Perhaps somewhere with something the boy may wish to draw. He sits down in his spare moments alone away from his duties and while Zach is otherwise occupied, to look over brochures and the newspaper, trying to find a suitable place.

It isn't until he comes across an announcement in the paper about the opening of a new cafe in the local aquarium which allows the diners to be almost completely surrounded by fish while they eat that he decides that that is the place for them. 'We can go for a meal, maybe catch a show, pet some animals, which helps in the recovery of the soul, and there are plenty of lovely things for him to sketch should he want to sit and rest at any time' Looking out the back window to where once more the young man sits peacefully in the priest's small garden Kiel lets out a happy sigh. 'I can not wait to tell him'

He twirls around, heading towards the door with long strides. His mind goes to preparations, it being only a few hours into the morning they can go this very day. 'I should pull out bag for him to carry his papers in. I do not want him to have to carry them in hand the entire time. I really think this will be good for him' Chuckling at the thought of watching one of the many animal shows with the young man filling him with a delight he does not recognize. Having mostly given up his own childhood to preserve those of others, this simple childish happiness is quite foreign to him. As he comes around the house he stands still until he is sure the young man is no longer in need of great focus before making himself known.

With a light cough he steps out and waits for Zach to meet his eye. His eyes sparkle with delight not only at the news he has to deliver, but also for the sight of undamaged flesh on the young man. 'He recovered quickly. I am so glad he is this resilient. It gives me hope for other parts in his life' He has not pressed for information from the young man, sensing that to not be the right track for Zach's type, but it does not stop him from being curious. Brushing that aside however he smiles brightly. “I have planned a trip for us, if you are up for it. I would like to go today, unless you would rather wait. I assure you, it's away from any trouble I can think of. You will be safe there. You can even bring your drawing materials! I am sure you can find something there it spark your creative genius!” Having only seen his drawings at a distance, Kiel can still say with confidence that the young man is talented.
