After being gone so long the screams of pain an horror echoing about him take a little longer to fade than usual. With his hell cloak firmly in place Kuro lands, keeping his eyes to the ground. All around him demons are torturing souls in every which way imaginable. He is barely spared a glance by these demons hard at work, the task before them far more entertaining than a smallish demon trying not to be seen. His footsteps are quick and even, his eyes only darting up when there is need. He doesn't really need to look where he's going. He knows where his father is. Ever one of his children can tell where Satan is when in hell.

'Man, the smell of this place. . .Nostalgic, but no less foul than I remember' This part of hell indeed permeates with a foul stench, but he isn't in the torture ring too long. The youngest son had landed just outside the demon's own personal hell, where most of them live or at least spend a lot of time enjoying themselves with less evil pursuits. His ultimate goal is the palace in the very center where he senses his father, however he didn't want “Pops” to be able to back track his path too easily. Unlike God, Satan is not all knowing and has to rely on his angelic talents. 'Unless of course he uses the book, but I know Pops. That would be too easy'

Once in the more “pleasant” part of hell it is harder for him to pass undisturbed, many a demon trying desperately to find a partner to either whip or bone. He isn't half way through the mass of writhing bodies laid out on the grass or slated stone before one of the realizes just who he is and in a flash a barrage of both proposals and slanders. Not really in the mood to put up with either due to his urgent need to get back to earth he partially erupts in black flame, the heat of it far hotter than any of them can pass through safely. They all back up, laughing and jeering however by the time he reaches the other side ten minute later it sputters out and he lets out a sigh. 'You know this? This I can handle. After coming into my own I can bat them off with a simple show of strength. However on earth? With humans!? Yeah. I almost prefer hell. . .'

Humming to himself the preacher bounces along the gravel road in his old pick-up, bopping his head to the music on the radio. His bible rides shotgun in the seat beside him, the symbolism evident to anyone who understand the word. Well, at least the way the Christians do. 'I wonder how the angel is doing today. Poor little guy, living with all those demons about' While consciously understanding the difference between the ones protecting him and the ones that want him dead, or enslaved, or whatever other horrible things demons can come up with, he doesn't in his heart feel there really is any difference. Aoba is being corrupted and to a devout man like Father Gerard, it would almost be better to be dead.

Dani pauses, sticking his nose in the air. With a faint hiss he looks off towards the road where a dust cloud can be seen in the distance. He is now close enough to the angel that he doesn't have to shout and with another his he announces, “It's that damn preacher man. . .” Not waiting for Aoba he bounds over to the fence at the edge of the field, baring his teeth and growling at the approaching truck. He doesn't go too far from Aoba, not wanting someone to take advantage of his distraction.
Okay, when you say domain, do you mean a planet where they enjoy being, or a solar system, or. . . .I think a planet would be nice. Also, I like the idea of them taking on a mortal form to be on these worlds, and perhaps a different form for each world, so if one wants to visit another's world they kinda have to conform to the environment. A show a respect I guess.

I'ma bit of a Feist fan, so how about our "Gods" are actual beings who went through a rip in space and ended up in this "Void" where they decided it would be fun to mess with it, to see what they could make/do. This would allow us to have a very flexible "God" number/types seeing as some would slip in and out of this universe. Some would claim this universe as their home, and others would be visitors.

Oh, I just had this vision of a "Visitor" deciding to make this place his home, and the idea of making new life here would be this "Young upstart's" idea and the other god would be someone who's been here a long time and finds the idea interesting. While most look at the new guy as an outsider he has a little support from the more outgoing gods, and the other main(The long time resident) would kinda be more critical of the new guy, but not completely dismissive like most of the other gods.

I personally go world and plot first, characters last, so while I will not try to dictate to you about your character building I will say I'll be making my own character :P I can play either character, if you like the idea, however I feel myself leaning more towards the new guy. Mostly because you've been thinking on this creation longer than I have :P

Well those are my thoughts on that. Your thoughts on mine?
Oki doki. We should leave the "Beast" thing open for now so we can just build them as we go. However I do think there should be a distinction between beasts that can be tamed, and ones that no one's tried to tame because they seem too wild. Not anything specific, just an understanding that that is the case with some kinds of beasts :P

So, funky beasts, some tamable, some not, and. . . . .Just humans? To keep it simple? Also, I was seeing midevil swords and sorcery era. Oh! And we have to decide if there is magic that humans know about, or is that all hooey as far as they are concerned.
Rei's head come up much like a dogs as he senses the prince heading for the door to his room. Slipping into his boots easily he wipes his fingers on his napkin before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand and making his way to the door. His table lay in disarray, an incident with a falling nut leading him into a little game with the rolling parts of his breakfast while he waited. His hand pauses just above the handle of his door. 'He stopped. I wonder why. . .' Unlike the day before where the prince just breezed past, no doubt expecting Rei to fall in line like he did, this time the boy stops in the hall outside the fae's door. Curious, once the prince moves on, Rei waits for him to be out of earshot before slipping silently into the hall.

Careful to make sure Alessandro stays in sight he stalks far behind the prince, observing him on his way, taking in not only the youth but how the servants around him act. 'I am finding it hard to figure out what to believe here. I am no master of reading positive emotions, but I can recognize when they are present. As the prince, should they all not at the least have respect for him?' Seeing mostly down cast and averted gazes Rei remain befuddled until they reach the dinning hall. The boy is seated by the time his bodyguard reaches the doorway.

One glace at the king once more solidifies his thoughts on how much the man seems to hate his own progeny and leaves Rei to wonder about the king as a possible suspect. Slipping into a servant alcove he manages to stay out of sight and observe for a short time, wanting to assess the situation before entering it. His attention is caught by another thing he's never understood. Watching the boy wash his hands he lets his mind fall back to the few times he's seen the action before. It was almost always among rich families. While most poor families would “go out back” and wash up before a meal, the rich seem to feel the need to be almost constantly with clean hands.

Or so he has observed and surmised. In all his reading, he's never had much of an interest in human customs and their reasoning so etiquette books are not something he's acquainted with. After the tense words from Alessandro, Rei decides that standing aside so far from the boy is not a good idea and pretending as if he'd just walked in the door he slides up the the prince's side with expert grace. He stands just off to the right and a little behind the youth's chair, as he has observed this being a respectful position, and after a light bow to both the king and the princess he lets his gaze wander, mapping the room like a good bodyguard.
Curious bodyguard is curious :P

Also, what do you think of the little guy? :P He's a little tense :P But he's smart, with the laurel and all *Grin*
Since I am not known for my historical accuracy I will tell you know I will be making up random names for places, however I will be staying in the right area and geographical features of America's east coast :P As such, I don't mind where you would like to picture in your head for a base line :P This of this as our America that we will build as we go along :P

For the specifics I see the town being a port town since the boy was likely dumped by someone just passing through, or whatever story we come up with works too. I like the idea of a coast town, not too far from the woods, maybe only a road separating "civilization" from the wilderness. Also, town not tooooo small so the deaths, while horrible, not something that would send the town into a frenzy.

Your thoughts?
So, for the steampunk angle, do we wanna actually revert the civilization BACK to steampunk from something more advanced, or simply using that as a loose reference to appearance and design and still have them using a more advanced from of power as their main power source?

I like the idea of an air raid siren going off sending all the humans scattering, then epic clashes and explosions. . . Very fun sight. And it would be interesting to see how my guy responds to the demon trying to defend the town while trying desperately not to be outed as a demon. . . .

So, going with the large walled in facilities, copper in color, I've always liked copper. . . .But with some houses and the actual trade posts outside the walls. Oh, and I like the idea of the walls actually having easy access to whomever wants to stand on them, children having been trained not to go up there until they are old enough to appreciate death. Kinda like the elven societies that live in tree tops. I don't think the wall would be much taller than the buildings, mostly there to avoid the blowback of fighting outside the towns because if the fighting happens too close to the city there's nothing gonna keep the devastation at bay.

I also see the church outside the walls but as the designated shelter with a deep basement for those caught outside the walls during clashes. That way the traders don't actually have to go into town to "Make their peace with God" and can get back on the road as soon as possible.

Oh! ANd, idea. There are no poor and no real rich, Since it's all mostly survival issues for now, there are those who are in the trade industry that are better off, but all resources are shared and no one goes hungry. And 'cause I love kids I'd like the church to house war orphans :P SOme cute cuddly scenes with my guy having to fend off the kids he secretly finds adorable :P

Anyways, don't worry, I'm just as random as you are :P What choo thinka my ideas?
Hate to do it again, but I must ask it to be narrowed again. :P Do you want my take on each individual ruling body first, or on the "Empire"?
I can agree with that.I have three main midevil bases I like starting on. It's up to you if you wanna pick one or if you wanna spend a bit longer, but midevil Japan, England, or Romania are my favorites. Or a mixture of any of them. Other wise we can build from the ground up.

For the fantasy do we wanna go full blown monsters and mythicals, or would you rather we tone it back and just have your basic mixed races(Elf, human, Dwarf, Beastman(I like playing mostly human beast men :P)) plus magic and mysticism?
Well I would imagine that we can either go with the simpler option of the beast looking totally like a normal earth based animal, but with a human/ mostly human like form it can take which would be part of his magic, but other than that a base of magical skills running along the more nature sphere and/or concealment magics.

OR

We can go with a more fantasy like world with non normal earth looking animals/beasts that all humans think are feral/unintelligent that are considered either monster/wild animals giving us a broader range of options for your beast. Also I would consider these "Monsers" tamable to a degree so there would be wild dog like beasts and tamed ones, but not the. . . . .As in there is no Canis Domesticus, simple a wild dog like thing that has been trained as a pet. If that makes any sense. I always loved the idea of a special kind of people who can tame wild beasts as a vocation. No that the tame animals don't breed, but more that this is way before the true domestication of animals. . . . Anyways, this would be the same as above, maybe with a few more combat based magics/skills(Still with a human/mostly human like form), but this is mostly to allow for us to come up with some funky beasts AS we play :P

Basically it's the difference between Harvest Moon and Rune Factory, if that makes any sense :P Minus the gardening monster bit. Either work for me. One is more simple and less likely to cause conflict, and one's more my area of "Study" as it were.
