Something I can put in a bag, cute! Fluffy things. So, what kind of era do you feel like goin' with?
~Seishu lets out a chuckle at Enasi's admission but remains silent as he watches the other looking about. He flinches ever so slightly when the sky comes into being around them however instead of the normal aversion he has to the sun, this rainbow on the red side of the spectrum surrounding them settles his nerves quickly. So too does the sight of Enasi, framed by the fiery yet gentle colors, the light dancing about his darker skin.

He stands in wonder for a few seconds, letting the breeze take his hair, pulling at him but not in a harsh way. All around them a smell seems to permeate, like fresh earth and clean moist air and after a few seconds he too looks out from the cliff to find a new sight. His gaze remain on the open air as Enasi looks his way and he lets out a sigh as the wind shifts, bringing his hair around his body for an instant before whipping it out directly behind him. “It really is beautiful here. . .” he murmurs, but a moment later lets out a gasp as something new appears. He rushes to the very edge of the cliff, standing closer to Enasi now and his long locks whip around as the wind coming up from down below collides with the other wind rushing across the stone.

Down below, less than fifty feet, a thick blanket of cloud appeared and now seems to swirl and ripple in the breeze. He lets out a laugh, the content feeling inside him waxing stronger and stronger. Turning to Enasi he gives him a coy look before falling backward off the cliff. Crossing his arms over his chest as if he's sleeping he closes his eyes and just lets himself feel the rushing wind for a time.

Then, just as he comes close to the thick blanket of wild yet soothing clouds he turns in the air and with an audible cracking noise his wings appear, slowing his decent, then directing him over the clouds like a rocket skimming the surface. The jet black appendages, while fleshy like a bats between the fingers, are scaled along the actual arm and finger parts. The scales gleam in the radiant light with each little adjustment they make and with another shout he rockets strait up. His speed an angle bring a spike of clouds with him and he chuckles at the sight. Turning so he can face Enasi he gestures excitedly for him to come closer. As he waits his wings beat the air keeping him aloft, the sound bringing him a little joy after not hearing it for so long.~

Harper opens his mouth to answer however all attention is quickly drawn to the male asleep on the bed. His head snaps around, his senses alert. 'I felt this once before, but not from this source' His stares in open question at the unconscious man, but it is Rue that answers. His voice is quite, meek, but still strong in conviction.

“Mister Seishu is dreaming again, that means Lord Enasi is asleep. When they sleep so close together, they can dream, but when they slept up to this point, it was very bad. They had nothing when they slept, but now they have something amazing.” He takes a breath and musters up all the courage he has at this point. Looking up into the rabbitman's eyes he says quietly, “If you guys wanna keep talking please go somewhere else. If you wake him up, Lord Enasi will be all alone again. . .” Unable to keep his eyes locked for long, he lets his gaze drop back to the bed and with a content sigh he curls up close to Seishu, his small hand resting on the Nightmare Guardian's arm gently.

Harper simply stares for several seconds, this new revelation hitting him hard. It takes Crios clearing his throat softly as he finishes, pulls the cover up over the two males, and begins to make his exit. Harper turns on the spot and follows Crios out of the room, his feet making no sound as he walks. As soon as the door is closed he pads off down the hall, his mind abuzz with confusion, unease, and a touch of joy for his Guardian.

Crios too feels rocked to his core. The idea that the Dream Guardian himself is unable to dream is beyond cruel in his mind, and the thought that he had to be so close to Seishu to have anything pleasant in his sleep brings new light to just why Night is the way he is around his lord. 'I have the feeling that perhaps the Nightmare Guardian is seeking more than his own amusement with his antics, however for the life of me I can not figure out if he is at all going about it the right way. . . .' His thoughts continue bumbling about as he makes his way back to the main part of the hospital wing for one final check before he too heads off to bed.
Yeah, I like woods. Maybe one of those really old one with those cool trees that band and twist, with really thick branches. That could. . .I know, the town/village/city thing can be on the edge of one, with a part of it actually within the boarders! I like rivers, so we could have that be the dividing point? Maybe those people who live forest side could be like the fisher peoples and stuff :P Oh, and I think it would be fun if we didn't go with strictly human humanoids for the "people" race. Maybe something interesting like. . . . .Humanoids with strong ties to the elements, sorta like benders but more innate. ..What cha think? OH and we could have a mountain somewhere within sight in one direction or another. Any ideas on yer animal? It could be anything really, from dog to dragon :P
Carefully keeping his hair on the outside of the tub, feeling it not dirty hence not in the need of a washing, Dorian smiles at the young one as he begins scrubbing his body. “It is all right Little One, it is not as if we need all the answers right away. You have done well, so let yourself be content with that for now.” He gets a good lather going on his arms before moving on to his chest and neck. “If you try too hard you may find the truth fleeing before you, escaping your attempts to capture them. You must let such thoughts come to you naturally.”

He only spare James a glance as he exits the bath and begins getting dressed. The question thrums around his mind a bit, tugging at his chest ever so slightly. 'I do indeed recall before I was made. Before I was re-born. However I am not sure I wish to share such things as of yet' When the boy draws close he peeks over the edge of the tub to where the boy crouches below. With a faint sigh he replies, “I do recall the time, however I do not wish to think on such things now. Perhaps some other time I will tell you of who I once was Little One.” With that he rinses himself off and climbs out of the hot water into the steamy room.

Drying himself carefully he pulls on his clothing, making sure everything is in order before turning to the young vampire. Making sure he standing tall he straitens the smaller males clothing, tucking here, tugging there, until he once more looks like a respectable young man. With a smile he ruffles the boy's hair and slips an arm around his waist. “I have arranged for a meal in the stable, however I wish for you to wait until I quite it down before we dine.” Giving him a quick squeeze he looks James in the eye and speaks carefully. “I am going to grab my bag from the room, I want for you to go to the stable and wait for me. Remember, keep you hands off of the human, and if all possible, ignore them until I get there.” Fixing the ruffling he did earlier so that his hair is sleek once more Dorian scoots him out of the room before making his way across the hall to the now vacant room holding his travel bag.
Sorry this took a while, but RL, y'know :P

I can't imagine that the Walker children are born disguised. Which would mean, that as soon as the child was born the secret would be "out."

Only if it was the woman who was human, or the couple still together. The rest of the answer for this is in the next part. . . .

Also, sure, rape, but still. Why would one of the Walkers want to have sex with a human? Don't the Walkers kind of consider humanity... the bane of existence?

Not all Walkers think of humans that way, and in fact I can see several races even liking humans. Like Vampires, sure the stereotype is thinking of them as little more than chattel, but there is always the odd vampire love story. I see many other races that may fall in love and want to have a life with their human partners if they are human compatible. Dragons themselves have often been known for taking human lovers and they bearing halfbreed children. I do not see a united level of hatred across the board for any race, even the humans, so, yeah, they could be in love with their human lovers and be trying to keep it secret. Hence, halfbreed children.

Also, as a slightly more major problem, why would that mean that the Organization members have to get killed?

For me this is thinking a little too far ahead. This is the question our characters have to try and answer and I think it would be no fun for us to have the answer to it right off the bat. I like creating a situation for the characters to go through and actually have them work for it. It's a lot harder to do when I already know the answer :P

Why would the Organization not pay well? And, perhaps even more importantly, why would people who are very rich, and are therefore used to living in luxury, hire on for a job that doesn't pay well, that requires them to obey all orders, and, if they don't pay well, probably doesn't have a high standard of living? It is completely counter-intuitive. Frankly, the rich go to where they can make more money. And maybe the Walkers are different, but it still seems backwards to me that they would go and work. especially if they are rich enough and influential enough that they could probably get a job anywhere they wanted.

The answer to this one ties into a later thing I had, but a little on this here that doesn't tie in. Rich. Old and well to do doesn't have to, and in the case of non humans, have anything to do with money. So, rich going where the money is, has nothing to do with the older families I'm thinking of. It's far to human a way of thinking.

Also, the fact that they live a long time would mean that there would be less workers, not more. A longer life span means less children per year, which means less children who would be of the right age to work in the Organization.

I have always thought this idea as bassakwards. Elves can breed as fast at humans, and do. Dragons lay a clutch of eggs and with the modernization have less to worry about, and Were most likely have multiple births as well. I will never accept a direct correlation between life span and children born per lifespan/year/whatever. Since were going with a small selection of races, it still makes sense that the humans outnumber the on humans, however, I really have a strong distastes for the crap about longer lifespans making for less babies. . . . It's always bothered me, and if it's not too off for you, I'd like to toss that old ideal behind in this RP.

I don't think the number of employees would really go down with time. Yes, there may be less problems, the Organization would have control. But the more control there is the more dissent there will be brewing just under the surface. As soon as it starts looking like the Organization is weakening in power, people are going to try and rise up. If the presence of one of the Enforcers is enough to calm things down, that still means you need an enforcer at every dispute, and I can't imagine that the frequency of disputes is going to have gotten any less.

Again this implies that the vast majority of non humans are just looking for an excuse to cause trouble, which after all these years I don't see. I see most being more or less tolerant or even content with living their lives in peace. Sure, most may have a distaste for the shadow living, but they've grown use to it, so, yeah. . . .

Think about America.

No no no no, no. . . .Again, this goes with the “Thinking too human” thing, which will have a tie in further down, but just saying, no. . . .Too human in your thoughts.

I don't think the Organization is looking for a point where they can just kind of... fade out. They are the power, and whether they are a good power or a bad power is beside the point. They are going to want to stay in power.

What I meant by “Money, protection, a chance to have a position of authority,” ... Think about America again. The reason so many people work in the Government, whether they like the government or not, whether they like their job or not, is because it pays well, because it is a very stable job, one that they are not likely to lose, and it has very good benefits. Seeing as the Organization is pretty much like the government of the Walkers, why would it be any different? Besides, many of the downsides to a government job, like the fact that it is incredibly inefficient and many people are lazy, would be removed because of the strict control within the Organization itself. Even if the Walkers don't like the Organization, if they see it as a cruel overlord, there are still going to be people who will go and work for them. Maybe their family is sick, and they need the Organization to pay for whatever substitutes as Medical Bills. Which the Organization would probably only do for employees. Maybe they want to be close to the "boss," so that, if or when things go bad, they will be on the "winning" side.

I think this is the main dispute point I've been referring to. The organization is, to me, NOTHING like a government. In the initial descriptions of what it is I remember distinctly calling it something like a “Shadow organization outside the law”. And I'd like to stick to that. The are not a governing body, they are more like an outside military force. Also, as this seems to be the case, I also rebel against the idea that the non humans even HAVE a central government type figure. For the most part, most none humans live in their own societies governed but heir own rules and social norms. That's a fact true in any fantasy realm. Elves have their own rules, Dwarves their own, Goblins theirs, and Drakes theirs. The thought of them under one set ruling body is. . . .Actually rather distasteful to me. This would, to me, destroy a lot of what makes it fun to be or even see any of these races interact or simply live their lives. One set of laws, like America, makes things to uniform even in their rebellions of disputes. It's the differences between the races and their societies that is fun and entertaining, and one of the things that makes the fantasy realm so much fun for me. So, yeah. . .Sorry if that is offensive in any way, it's just how I roll? I really hate to think of the non humans having/being like human stereotypes.

All I'm trying to say is that, just because the Organization is disliked, doesn't mean that people won't still go and work for them.

I agree with this, however I think the reasons behind joining would be a lot different than the base human reasons one would join a workforce. The noble kids would join to better understand humans, to learn the ins and outs of operating in their society, so that when they finish their tour and go back to their families they would be able to make their clan better and do things that previous generations never thought of, or expand in such directions that they never believed possible. This also ties into why the workforce would be getting smaller. Not only are a lot of the disputes once had rather often tamed down and have very little chance of flaring back up, but the clans are finding better ways to channel their energies and perhaps making their tours shorter. It's what would make the workers from the non noble families more important since they are their for the long haul and such, but would make the mass slaying of the workers all the more dramatic since the members would consist mostly of noble guys. I think it would add an interesting layer and a whole slue of issues that would be fun to deal with.

~*~*~*~*~*~

Sorry if it seemed like I disagreed with you almost every step up there, I just. . . .Don't like generalizing different races into once central group when it comes to fantasy, and, yeah. . . .OH! This idea -

What I could see, though, is having a group of Walkers who are looking to purposefully expose the presence of the Walkers to the humans. Probably in some sort of massive conquest thing. A kind of Cult, dedicated to having the walkers rise above and take control of the "inferior" humans, who only rule through population. And perhaps they have some messed up sort of magic that can do some minor mind control. Which is why everyone, Organization members included, was killed. Because they succumbed, and turned traitor. So one of the powerful higher ups had to come and personally clean up the mess. But, of course, that didn't end the Cult. It could be one of the recurring problems, if we like. And, for one reason or another, our characters are directly connected to it. Either because they can resist the mind control, or they are literally connected to it, or someone simply decides that they are the two for the job.

I can see us working with several of theses ideas, they seem fun. However I don't want to set anything like this too solid since, again, I feel it's too far planning ahead for me to set the motivation in stone so early on. I know I initially had an idea of the motivation for our guys, but that's different in my mind than setting the motivation of the antagonist/s :P I like the idea of our guys being special for some reason. Perhaps one of us can resist and that one has to, I d'know, share blood or magic or something, so that his partner can still keep on working on the case too? Maybe have the one without resistance under the control for a while until the one who can resist notices and have a confrontation to resolve the issue. . . .Looks epic in my head, but again, just a thought :P

Again, sorry this took so long! You were very thorough, so not need for expansion unless you really want to :P
Harper pays special care to not just drop the Nightmare Guardian on to the bed as he and Crios deposit the unconscious man back where he's spent his last few days recovering in the dream realm. The sheets and other bedding was changed while they were gone and Rue flutters down to settle beside Seishu as soon an the rabbit man steps back. There is a look of concentration and a bit of annoyance on the elder dream's face as his gaze remains upon the ragged looking figure. Crios takes one look at him and in a soft voice he turns to Rue with a request. “Rue, would you mind finding some clothes for Night here. I'm sure there are some clean ones in the laundry at this hour.” Rue whines slightly but follows it up with a bright smile before darting full speed out of the room,t he door slamming shut in his wake.

Both men left standing in the room flinch at the noise but remain silent for several minutes. Finally Crios lets out a sigh as he finishes with the bandages over Seishu's middle. “Since you are still here I do believe there is something you wish to say. However if what you have to say is to Night, he's going to be out a while, I made sure of that. If you really need him to hear it, I'll pass it on. However,” his gaze travels from his patient to the tense overprotective dream, “if there is someone else you should be saying it to, I suggest you think it over hard, then say it to them.” It is clear from his tone just who Crios is suggesting Harper may want to have words with.

With a hissing sigh Harper turns away. “I trust our lord, implicitly, and I have no desire to disobey him. But this feeling of. . . Wanting to strike back. Wanting to hurt him for hurting Lord Enasi, it's so strong right now.” Despite his harsh words his sounds very calm, and sincere in his conviction not to strike out at the in-firmed guardian passed out on the bed. Crios nods, even though the other can't see it, and lets out a sigh of understanding.

“Harper, I know how you feel, but. . . After spending time around them, the both of them, at the same time, I think I'm starting to see it. . . .” His voice trails off and the dream turns around just far enough to see the minion clearly. His eyebrow raises in question but Crios just shakes his head. “You have to see it for yourself.” He thinks for a moment then his ear wriggle for a moment. “Come by tomorrow, before they set out. Watch them speak to one another, watch. . . .Their eyes.” Harper stands silently for several seconds and Rue holds his breath. The little fairy is the weakest class of minion and far weaker than all in the room. His opinion, while not dismissed by Enasi or Seishu would hold little weight here between his fellow dream denizens, so he holds his tongue and simply clings to Seishu's side as once again that odd kind of energy begins emanating from him.

~The darkness settle down around him, however Seishu relaxes and does his best to call up the images from last he slept. The beautiful sights tumble through his mind, but along side them are a few choice moments outside the. . .Whatever it's called, with his counterpart that had brought a smile to his face. Even Rue makes a few appearances.

I wonder how long I'll be out.

It's not like I'm sleeping per se. . . .

I wonder if I've been doped yet. . .

As the minutes tick by he contents himself with the memories, a faint smile on his lips. Then, a faintly familiar feeling sets up in his hand and the smile widens.

He is sleeping

With a sharp breath Seishu springs to his feet and after getting his barrings with his hand he takes off full speed towards his counterpart. After only a few minutes he can hear, he can feel, he can smell. He takes in a deep breath at the fresh cool air now at his back. This time, instead of grass beneath his feet he feels hard stone. The pat of his bare feet echos slightly for several steps, then the sound falls away as if he's entered an open space. As soon as he spots Enasi he doubles his speed.

I feel it now.

We are somewhere high.

Like a cliff.

The wind shifts and he lets out a whoot as he skids to a halt beside the other male. His smile is soft and easy, with only a faint hint of shame for the trouble he caused not half an hour ago.~
