Current My roleplay is all tabletop these days, and the part of the guild I used to hang out in doesn't exist anymore. To my friends from this site, I will think of you, and maybe I'll see you again someday.

To my friends from chat: I guess I'll see you around, since I'm still not using discord.

I don't actively RP on the site these days, but I might be convinced to come back if there's a cool fantasy or sci-fi group RP that can capture my interest. Catch me on Second Life, Wildstar, or Chat.

My life has gotten really chaotic. I'll be back to RPing when I can.

I need a good generic fantasy RP, but I can't find one.

Deserting the military is a more honorable action than going to fight in any modern war, if you live anywhere in North America. The current wars are primarily driven by greed, and buying into the military propaganda only results in being a glorified, deluded mercenary who thinks that what they are doing is both necessary and morally right. That's not to say that Veterans are dishonorable in any way, only that I'm of the opinion that they've more or less been played for fools by the forces profiting off war.

There were two options there: either I stayed in charge of that RP and kicked out all the people I didn't want in it, which would have included you among others at that point, or I hand the RP over to the one person in the group I felt had any real idea of what I was trying to do in the first place and hope that the players had a good time without me. Would you have preferred that I kept running the RP and told you to hit the road? Because that was the other option I was heavily considering.

Your post count, especially when you flout it in a double post, in no way invalidates or excuses your uncooperative attitude or your reluctance to put in what seems like the minimum amount of effort.

I'm not interested in derailing this with an argument. Please figure out if you want to put in the effort for this or not.

If you want to be a part of the group, you need to commit some energy to it. tl;dr when the thread is this short is just kind of insulting. If everyone else can understand the instructions and follow along but you require special treatment and summaries, that means that you're not putting in the effort, and it's on you to deal with that. It's not up to the rest of the group to tag you with a mention if it so happens that you're relevant, and it's your own job to stay caught up with what is going on in the thread.
Sounds fair to me, and realistically there needs to be a cutoff point for people who don't want to commit to this. Especially since there are others who have expressed interest in joining, keeping slots filled by inactive people seems pointless. Monday sounds like a good cutoff point, it gives people all weekend to fix their characters, which should be a pretty brief exercise anyway.
Looks like I answered a question without noticing we had a new page! On the bright side, it seems that my understanding of what Character Sacrilege is was bang on the money :D
Thought up a character sacrilege, so I've added that now! Are we missing characters from anyone? I know we're still waiting on some edits.
Character posted, let me know if edits are needed!

Also, as a Canadian, I'll ask you to have some patience with me if I'm unfamiliar with some details about living in America ;P
Name: Jacqueline Richter

Gender: Female

Role In Party: Fighter / Defender

Personality: Often quiet, Jack generally prefers action to talking. She could be mistaken for being a bit slow in the head at first, but those who know her know that she just prefers to choose her words carefully. Despite her often gruff demeanor, she has a sense of humor and enjoys cracking dry jokes when she sees a chance. She does have a caring side to her, though due to how she tends to express it she often ends up intimidating those she is trying to protect.

Intrigue: She is incongruously well-read considering her background, and actually has a good head for poetry and song lyrics.

Description: Jacqueline grew up on a farm, and she looks like it. Already naturally on the tall side, an upbringing filled with tossing hay bales and working with heavy machinery has left her with a surprisingly powerful build. It's not something that she seeks to show off, and indeed her clothing choices don't actually make her look as strong as she is—she would rather wear a flannel jacket instead of a tanktop. Forest-green eyes and messy blonde-but-almost-brunette hair complete her image.

Motivation: Jackie is mostly content to live a quiet life, but she doesn't hesitate to step up when her friends or those she cares about are in trouble or need her help.

Character Ideal: The quiet brawler who lives in her head and can be turned to for help.

Character Sacrilege: Jacqueline needs to have people she cares about. Otherwise, she has no motivation to do much beyond farming and reading.
Yeah, as it stands the dimensions don't really make a ton of sense—there doesn't seem to be a cohesive theme as to what a dimension even is, in this context. Some things seem to be dealing with measurements in physical space, whereas others are emotions and such.

Is anyone here familiar with GURPS? The Infinite Worlds setting of theirs is a pretty easy to use starting point for interdimensional RPs.

Ok, I thought you were talking about a specific game concept.

I was actually typing out a suggestion about it yesterday when my phone backed out and deleted it. Basically, I wanted to add a "if people lose interest we start a vote for a replacement" clause. Also an "another round of a specific RP" option being possible in case an idea is really popular.

I actually like this plan, it allows for flexibility. We can drop a game if it doesn't turn out well, and we can keep one going if we find we get into it.

I asked for a vote right before Primal mentioned his game concept about a dead super-future.
